    Gyro

Really disappointing experience. I ordered the gyro and the meat came out looking undercooked and pale to the point that I didn't feel comfortable eating it. I've attached a photo because it honestly speaks for itself. We also had an issue with another order. I chose to support a longtime local diner over chain breakfast spots and left pretty disappointed.

I've been going to Amphora, the original location in Vienna and the remaining one in Herndon since I was a kid. I love that I can take anyone here and there will be something they'll love in the inch-thick spiral bound menu. The servers quicky get to know us when we come back. Dennis, in particular, learns your drink orders and favorite entrees--sometimes after just one visit. After you get to know the regular menu, don't forget to try out the specials. Tonight for me was the amazingly flavored, tender Jamaican Jerk Chicken. Loved it.

Walked in with a large group and the owner and his staff took great care of us! The food was fresh, the service was fast and the place was warm and inviting. We will be back!

It has been a minute since I ate at Amphoras, but I was happy to be able to stop in recently before a meeting and enjoy a good hot breakfast. Customer service was great. You are always greeted at the door. The interior has not changed much but it has always been a spacious and clean diner. Not to mention, the fresh baked goods at the front door as you walk in. I ordered a traditional 2 egg breakfast with bacon, home fries, and wheat toast. That hit the spot. The cranberry juice was a bit watered down and more of a pink color than cranberry. I would definitely visit again but order something different to drink next time. Overall, a great dining experience and I look forward to my next visit.

Food was so so good. Everything was yummy down to the lemonade. Our server was very attentive and efficient. I live in NC but will definitely come back when I'm in the area again.

Such a nostalgic diner, with great quality food and excellent service. The banana French toast was phenomenal but my favorite is the Greek omelette that has gyro in it. Definitely one of my fav businesses in the area to support.

Stopped by here on a Saturday morning with a friend of mine for some breakfast as we've always past by this pace but never went in. Well, this was our chance and from our experience, it was good. The Food: I went with the "Cajun Eggs Benedict" for my meal. Two eggs benedicts with some andouille sausage, and some hash on the side. Eggs were cooked nicely with a runny yolk, muffins were soft. However, there were barely any sausages in my meal. And, the portions for everything was small. It was odd because for about $16, I thought I'd get something a little more fulfilling. I probably won't be getting the benedict again. Maybe something else next time, if I find myself back here. The Service: Service was good! For it being a Saturday morning, the restaurant was decently busy and we didn't have to wait log for a table. Staff were attentive and friendly. The Atmosphere: Very spacious restaurant with plenty of tables to sit at. Also, it looked pretty clean from what I saw around me. Overall, a 4/5. Food was good, better than some diners in the area. Just a little small on the portions for me.

Overall, the appetizer portions are VERY small. For the main entrees, we got SPICY SAUSAGE PIZZA, BRAISED PORK PAPPARDELLE, CAMPANELLE, CABERNET BURGER, ATLANTIC SALMON, and RAINBOW TROUT. -Spicy Sausage Pizza: it was a spicy sausage pizza with some fancy cheese grated on top. -Braised Pork Pappardelle: The noodles were al dente and there was a tomato based sauce. -Campanelle: the white sauce was a little bland. The noodles were al dente. -Cabernet Burger: the patty was very flavorful and juicy. Would recommend this. It came with fries. -Atlantic Salmon: The salmon was topped with a tomato sauce, personally I would have prefer no tomato sauce as it really overpowers the salmon flavor. Under the salmon was some lettuce. -Rainbow trout: this does not come with a sauce on top like the salmon and so is able to maintain a bit of crisp to the skin. Overall, all the food we had here was mediocre. Nothing stood out. The location and ambiance is great, so it's nice for a get together, not for foodies - not recommended.

In comparison to our most frequented Ashburn outpost, the interior here feels more cozy and old school rather than bright and modern. Despite a very busy dining and waiting room, the host sat us almost immediately during peak hours at a generously sized booth, a nice touch given we had our infant son in tow. The food here tasted consistent with what we have had at other locations of Ted's. While the food here does not necessarily amaze the palate, it is executed competently and the large menu caters to a variety of tastes with some creative, global touches. My wife always selects the Turkish eggs, which comprise a trio of poached eggs swimming in a garlicky yogurt and topped with piquant chili oil. The dish makes for a light, fresh breakfast with plenty of flavor. I opted for a Sichuan hot chicken sandwich. The cripsy, juicy chicken breast coated in a heavily seasoned chili dunk yielded a surprisingly flavorful bite. Despite the chicken quality, I did not love the sweet American style coleslaw that topped the sandwich nor the limp fries that arrived alongside. Service ran smoothly, as our waitress promptly took our orders, remained available throughout service, and even subbed out my wife's latte for no charge when she found the taste too sweet. Prices here are about $15-20 per entree which is standard for the Town Center and reasonable given portion sizes. Overall, Ted's remains a reliable option for a satisfying and consistent lunch or brunch, and we are glad to have a location so nearby.
