Walked in with a large group and the owner and his staff took great care of us! The food was fresh, the service was fast and the place was warm and inviting. We will be back!

I've been going to Amphora, the original location in Vienna and the remaining one in Herndon since I was a kid. I love that I can take anyone here and there will be something they'll love in the inch-thick spiral bound menu. The servers quicky get to know us when we come back. Dennis, in particular, learns your drink orders and favorite entrees--sometimes after just one visit. After you get to know the regular menu, don't forget to try out the specials. Tonight for me was the amazingly flavored, tender Jamaican Jerk Chicken. Loved it.

Food was so so good. Everything was yummy down to the lemonade. Our server was very attentive and efficient. I live in NC but will definitely come back when I'm in the area again.

It has been a minute since I ate at Amphoras, but I was happy to be able to stop in recently before a meeting and enjoy a good hot breakfast. Customer service was great. You are always greeted at the door. The interior has not changed much but it has always been a spacious and clean diner. Not to mention, the fresh baked goods at the front door as you walk in. I ordered a traditional 2 egg breakfast with bacon, home fries, and wheat toast. That hit the spot. The cranberry juice was a bit watered down and more of a pink color than cranberry. I would definitely visit again but order something different to drink next time. Overall, a great dining experience and I look forward to my next visit.

Such a nostalgic diner, with great quality food and excellent service. The banana French toast was phenomenal but my favorite is the Greek omelette that has gyro in it. Definitely one of my fav businesses in the area to support.

Stopped by here on a Saturday morning with a friend of mine for some breakfast as we've always past by this pace but never went in. Well, this was our chance and from our experience, it was good. The Food: I went with the "Cajun Eggs Benedict" for my meal. Two eggs benedicts with some andouille sausage, and some hash on the side. Eggs were cooked nicely with a runny yolk, muffins were soft. However, there were barely any sausages in my meal. And, the portions for everything was small. It was odd because for about $16, I thought I'd get something a little more fulfilling. I probably won't be getting the benedict again. Maybe something else next time, if I find myself back here. The Service: Service was good! For it being a Saturday morning, the restaurant was decently busy and we didn't have to wait log for a table. Staff were attentive and friendly. The Atmosphere: Very spacious restaurant with plenty of tables to sit at. Also, it looked pretty clean from what I saw around me. Overall, a 4/5. Food was good, better than some diners in the area. Just a little small on the portions for me.

The fry was perfect. Crunchy but not greasy. The flavors were deep, especially when dipped in with the dijon ale mustard. This dish paired perfectly with the beers. We both went with the steak frites. Steak was from Roseda Farms, which is a long-time favorite of ours. It was perfectly med rare and seasoned. The bar area is self-seating.I chose to sit in the bar area...the only remaining big table with high chairs/table...it was packed! The happy hour is pretty awesome here. They have daily happy hour from 4-6 pm, which is pretty awesome, starting early and ending late. There is also a power hour from 3-6, where everything on the happy hour menu is $5, which is a little early!! The menu includes regular bar food and a variety of drinks (as shown in the picture). We ordered the following: -Let that "man"go - in general it's an iced drink, so I'd avoid. -Spicy pina marg - another iced drink. It was ok. -I'm Ron Burgundy (2x)- this had a nice strong coffee flavor, doesn't come with ice; I would highly recommend it...they made it so good!!! -Maker's mini nachos - There proportion of chips to toppings was off there wasn't enough toppings and too many chips, but there was a lot of cheese. -Calamari was a good portion, and tasty -Chicken tenders - they were delicious and moist There are so many items to choose from on the power hour/happy hour menu. I would definitely recommend lil B and the wings. There was live music, which was just way too loud for such a small space. We would have been okay with all the music. I love a good Cuban sandwich and NYAJ's is a good one, and they are one of the few restaurants with a Waldorf salad on the menu, so I have ordered that several times. My only critique of that would be, I wish it had the candied pecans that are listed as an ingredient on the menu, but the last 3 times I have had that salad, they have been missing.
