Let me start off by saying Danny is amazing. But I came in with three friends and our appointment was at three and I wasn't seen until 5:30. FIVE THIRTY! So I get in the chair, and they have a woman who has simply been watching others techniques ( obviously isn't a experienced nail tech) do my nails. After waiting two and a half hours I didn't have the patience to have someone who was clearly learning do my nails. I asked for someone else and waited another half hour. This picture is from the very next day. Nail color already chipping. I used to be loyal and I'm over it. Danny's amazing and needs to hire people on his level I'm taking my business elsewhere. I spent thirty dollars to have my nails look like I was playing around in some white out. read more

I'm new to the area & have been looking for a home salon. I got a gel mani & gel pedi from this one & I loved my mani but not my pedi so much. The woman cut my big toe several times & it still hurts The polish on my second toe is already fading. They charge you to take off the same thing you're already paying more for. (Gel removal, even though you're replace with Gel) It also made me nervous that they don't socially distanced. The man & the woman were both working on me at once at one point & a woman who kept her face guard on but took her mask off kept coming to look over their work & it made me nervous. The guy did a great job on my hands but I think my search continues for a home salon. read more

I've been going to Chicago Nails for ~ 2 months now. I was relieved to find them as they (usually) do good work and I was also relieved not to have to drive all the way to Fife, WA from Seattle to have my nails and toes done. Today, however, was the LAST day for me and all because one of the owners (Danny) is a complete asshole. This is a wife/husband operation. The wife Julie is usually nice and easy to speak with. The husband, Danny, however, from day one has had a clear attitude/male complex about him and usually I ignore it. Today was the last straw. I walk in to the salon (called ahead for a fill) and upon sitting down he suggests I wait until after the fill to pick my Gel color. Fine - no issue with that on my end. Fast forward to nail painting time and I ask the wife Julie if they have examples of nail designs. She said not really but I can use my phone to find something. So - as suggested - I started searching on Pinterest for nail designs and NO JOKE - 60 seconds later Danny shouts to me (whilst sitting ~ 2 feet away from me working on another clients nails) "ARE YOU READY YET?!". I was so taken-back by his tone that I laughed and said, "No I am not ready yet....you guys said you weren't in a rush.." Danny looks to Julie and goes, "WHAT! ALL I WAS ASK IS THAT SHE IS READY - WHAT THE BIG DEAL! SHE JUST LOOKING AT HER PHONE" Well, Danny, the big deal is that you don't SHOUT at your customers especially after your wife suggested I look up designs for a lack of you guys not having examples in the salon. Julie in turn did a crappy job of applying the gel - which I am sure was intentional. P.S. -- That's also why I didn't tip - I cringed at the thought of paying you for this visit. I will GLADLY be commuting back to FIFE, WA to BLOSSOM NAILS (highly suggest them) and giving them my money if that means I won't get shit service and made to feel uncomfortable. I had previously gone to Chicago Nails about two years ago and was thoroughly disappointed. Somehow they managed to cut almost every cuticle with the automatic nail file thing and my nails didn't even end up looking very good. I had sworn to never go back but after a bunch of my coworkers and friends had raved to me about them I decided to give them another shot. I honestly could not be more impressed. I've had my nails done many many places and they never have looked as good as they do from Chicago Nails! I showed Danny a picture of the shape I wanted (square coffin shape) and he did them spot on, every nail is even and I had nothing to ask him to correct! When it came time for Julie to paint my nails she did an amazing design and paid a great amount of attention to detail, which I really appreciated! Location convenient, atmosphere quiet and relaxing, I really liked my service, although I can be picky so I tend to point out my likes and dislikes, as I'm paying for a service so I believe its important that I'm satisfied when I leave, so I must say Danny did a good job, was quick, thorough, and friendly. In my opinion the prices are a bit high for what I'm used to, but as long as the service is great and I'm leaving happy, I don't mind paying a little more. Thanks Chicago Nails, I think I will check you out once more to make sure this is where I want to continue to get my nails and toes done....I noticed you do eyelashes too???? I was looking up local places for acrylics nails that are somewhat-affordable, nice, professional, and somewhere I can go to regularly. I walked in and instantly was assisted. I picked two nail colors (the "big red apple" and the pink one I don't remember). I sat and waited for about 10-15 minutes with an appointment, and I was helped. The process took about half an hour - an hour and I was so satisfied after. Thank you so so much, you guys. I decided to come in after searching for local nail salons in my neighborhood. I saw several recommendations for Lily, and called to make an appointment. When I arrived, Lily asked how I knew her, and when I mentioned she has good reviews, she was so humbled, and had an instant smile on her face. She took the time to give my feet the attention I was looking for. There was no rush, and she would check in with me ever so often to see if I was ok or if I needed anything. Nice lady. I've been to most nail salons in the area and this place is by far the best. My natural nails have always been extremely weak and thin so acrylic nails break off easily but my nails always last almost 3 weeks when I come here. The color selection for shellac is insane and they do an extremely detailed job. Love it here! read more

I went to Chicago Nails for my wedding nails. They were recommended to me by my bridesmaids and I'm glad she told me about this place! Great costumer service and love their quality of work. I got acrylic nails that lasted me through my honeymoon (3weeks) and my bridesmaid got shellac that lasted about 2 weeks. The owner even stayed past closing to fix my nails after I ruined them trying to leave (totally my fault.) I will definitely be going out of my way to come back again. read more

MY ACRYLIC NAILS LOOK HORRIFIC!! While i was getting my nails done she was very rough and when i would ask her to fix something she would get annoyed and say "they look ok" so i let her do her thing. When she was painting them she didnt care either the polish was clumpy and she kept applying layers over and over and look ugly down by the cuticles. Each nails has a different shape and they're very bumpy and uneven. When i told them i didnt like them and pointed out the flaws she said very rudely "this is how we do nails here and if you dont like it then dont come back" read more

Had an appointment for 4:30 for a fill and a pedicure. At about 5, they sat me in a pedicure chair and started soaking my toes in acetone, and then walked away without saying anything and started to do someone else's nails. At about 5:35, they took the acetone soaked cotton off my feet and my toes were so discolored and ashy! Finally they finished around 6:30 (no leg massage, and about 25 minutes of the pedicure was spent just painting my toes a solid color). The only reason I am giving 2 stars is because she did do a good job cleaning up my cuticles and with the callouses on my feet. Otherwise the pedicure was a very uncomfortable experience. Then they started on my nails. Nails were very quick, but I asked for "as short as possible" and they were still pretty long when he finished filing the first nail, so I politely asked for them to be shorter. The finished result was very uneven nails, some much shorter than others. The staff was not friendly and didn't say one word to me during either service. The receptionist made a lot of faces and was very rude when I soaked my feet in the water without first telling her I had gel on my toes. I just moved here, and where I am from, I get pedicures every 3-4 weeks and they always have me soak my feet first! Needless to say, I will not be returning. read more
