I have been going back-and-forth about writing this review but after I had to spend over $300 on Saturday to get my nails done and fixed at a whole different salon I feel like it's necessary. I went in to get a cut down and a fill with design a very simple designer that . My nails are real and they are long and I just have an overlay. I've been getting my nails done religiously for about 5 years now. I went in and specifically asked if they could do the design that I showed them and made sure to let them know that my nails are real but I just wanted to cut down and I wanted to keep the shape that I came in with on my nails. The Nail Tech was nice, but she did not listen to a single thing I said not only did she cut my nails way shorter than I asked she then shaped them so different that I had to cut them even shorter, because instead of keeping the shape that initially came in with she gave me another shape, and then proceeded to tell me that the shape she was doing looks good But that's not what I asked for. Once we got to the design portion because she could not get the shape right and I just had to let it go. She then proceeded to tell me that she couldn't do the clear pink that I asked for in the background, even though the manager was able to find it for her then when we got to the gold lines, she kept presenting me with silver, and telling me that it was silver, but it was actually gold and again the manager had to find the gold for her. She did red tips in a French tip style, but did not clean it up at all, and did not do another coat and it was really messy. I only had three hearts on each nail and they were not great at all. The manager was nice and gave me $10 off my total service because I also paid for a deluxe pedicure that was only about 30 minutes long which was a little confusing for a deluxe pedicure because usually they last a little longer than 30 minutes . Overall, I just would not recommend going to the shop. If you were someone who gets your nails done avidly if you were someone who wants a normal manicure and pedicure and does not care about how your nails are shaped and does not like extensive designs, then this may be the nail shop for you, but other than that I can't recommend this place. I had to drive over an hour and get my nails done somewhere else just to get them fixed at 6 PM . I am never the person that usually leaves nail shops without my nails looking the way that I want them because I am paying for service, but there was no way that I was going to get her to get my nails done properly because she was very set in her ways. I understand that everyone has to learn, but she definitely needs more practice before performing more work on other peoples hands, especially with shaping. For reference, the pictures are below.
I really like this nail salon. I have lived in the U district for a year and this place is very close to my house. They always do a great job and have been able to accommodate me as a walk in. They also have some newer colors that I really like. I have gone there for about 5 different styles of French manicures and I have been very happy with all of them. I always ask for a thinner either classic french or deep v and not every salon I go to gives a good result, B nails definitely wins in the clean line French tip category. I also like their default pink base coat. They do a clear pink base on the bottom and cover it with a neutral pink more opaque coat and it's my favorite base combo for French. I'm moving from Seattle next week and here's my last set that I got today :)
One of the best experiences at a nail spa I've had, ever! Hannah was so gentle and meticulous with detail and she made sure to be thorough with every step! I really appreciate the kindness and helpfulness of the entire staff. The place was clean and the atmosphere was relaxing and quiet. They fit me in so fast and were very respectful on the phone as well. Customer service is 10/10! AND their prices are AMAZING for Seattle especially with the work they do. I was very impressed, I can't believe it took me so long to find this place but I'm never going back!!!
This is the worst nail salon in North Seattle. I repeatedly asked the manicurist to be gentle with the polish removal and instead of using the electric filer she smirked and kept aggressively scraping off my enamel by hand. Note the difference between the scraped portion of my nails and the unscraped portion (where my nails had grown out). My usual nail salon has never ruined my nails like this. Based on older reviews, the employees here clearly have some sort of weird racial bias against brown and black women and speak to them in a condescending manner. This was my experience as well. Lastly, this salon is not sanitary and I plan to report the business to the state health board.
I went in with an appointment with some friends for a gel manicure. I just picked out the blue and asked for clouds on top and they did an amazing job - these are the cutest nails I've ever had! I think it was 15$ more for a design which is completely worth it in my opinion. I got them done like two weeks ago and they still look really good even when grown out a little. They're also the sturdiest gels I've gotten done (no chipping or peeling). I highly recommend!
i got gel x done at this spot and made the reservation a day before. they were super quick with their responses for the appointment and was also quick with the nails as well! this took about 50min and costed 80$ (gel x 60$ + ombré 20$). sweet employees and amazing service, would return again. thank you
I have found my new nail salon home! The attention to detail at this salon is incredible. I've gone to so many nail salons in Seattle and it seems like they are never "perfect" but the staff at B Nails is amazing! The salon itself is sooo clean and the COVID precautions are great- you sanitize right when you walk in and the plastic dividers are in place at every station and they try to space out everyone with a chair in between. My mom and I came in early and they were able to take us earlier than our original appointment time. I had called the day before and got an appointment so easy which I love! I had literally like 4 nails left from a previous salon so I booked a full set and my mom got a fill. The removal of my old acrylic nails was not painful whatsoever which I appreciate. Both our nails were the perfect amount of acrylic and weren't chunky at all. The polish job was great and the nail techs doing our nails kept checking in throughout the entire service to make sure we were satisfied. We will certainly be back! Thank you guys!!
Went last minute and they had a spot for me which I really appreciated. I went in needing an acrylic fill and repair to three broken nails. I got Ruby as a nail technician and let me just say she was amazing. It was late in the evening but she still paid a lot of attention To the detail, shape, repairs, and painting of my nails. I tend to be very specific with my nails and offer a lot of "suggestions " And she never seemed annoyed it was very nice. I also have sensitive cuticles that bleed easily and Ruby was The first nail tech in ages that did not make me bleed. I really appreciated the work she did and will definitely be returning. I have had such a hard time finding a good nail technician in Seattle. Ruby fixed not only my broken nails but completely fixed the lumpy acrylic that a previous nail technician left on me from a different salon. The gel is perfectly rounded at the cuticle and the acrylic is not bulky. They have multiple pay options which was nice as well.
I've been going to this nail salon for about six months and have never left unsatisfied. They have a large adjoined parking lot (which is conveniently located near a bubble tea shop, restaurants, and Trader Joes), usually have same-day availability for nails, and relatively affordable prices for Seattle. They also frequently offer discounts, including a student discount. I have brought friends and family here and all have been impressed by the quality and experience provided at their price point. Friends of mine even ask to know which salon I use because they love the designs that I get done here, some of which can be seen in the photos I've attached. This salon generally has staff available that can paint customized designs based on photos you bring in. Equally notable is how personable the owner is. He goes to extra lengths to provide a superior customer experience and truly cares about his business and clients. I've been to dozens of nails salons in the Seattle area since moving here in 2013, at all price points, and have never been motivated to consistently return to one before now. I highly recommend them!
Oh my gosh. Okay. I was a devoteé to my old nail salon when I lived and worked in West Seattle, and when I moved back up north, I struggled for 3 years to find a salon that could "wow" me. B Nails is all that and more! It's a smaller salon and I was thrilled to see that they're going above and beyond with safety measures during this pandemic. I felt totally safe and welcome the entire time. I booked a full set + pedicure the day before my wedding; they made sure to sell me on SNS dip powder because it's healthier for your nails and I'm glad they did (I've always been interested). All 3 staff members were so sweet and engaging and even gave me free rhinestone art and a 10% discount for my wedding nails! I'll definitely be going back, I'm glad I finally found my new salon.
Brand new spot opened up that was a great experience. I've been a regular at a different nail salon in Roosevelt, but I think I will switch over to this place. Really sweet people. Their COVID protection plan was great - took temp at the beginning, made everyone sanitize, screens between technicians and customers, etc. I got a shellac mani and a basic pedi - total came out to $64, and took exactly one hour The technician was very thorough and detail oriented which I really appreciated. The complimentary massages were very nice too - some of the longest and best I've received at a nail salon! They also have a rewards program which I thought was the cherry on top for why I'll be back

It's now my 3rd time visiting them and I've never been disappointed! They are truly the best and they can get you in same day that you call. They accept walkins, but I call just to be sure. I love coming here. read more

Had my nails done twice there so far and was able to come in the same day both times. Though the staff were pretty friendly, the quality of the nails just okay. The lines were a little wiggling but the tech was willing to adjust them to my liking. The shape looks perfect from the top, but pretty flat from the side. In addition, the nails started lifting a couple days afterwards. Felt like the price was fair for what you get. read more

I am so happy I found B Nails after searching on Yelp! I have never been a regular at any salon, nor have I invested in my nails until I started coming here in June '21. I would only go to nail salons for special occasions (about once a year). Free parking is in a (shared) lot which is super convenient! Salon is welcoming by owner Thinh. Masks are required and hand sanitizer is used upon arriving. I would highly suggest making an appointment as I have seen walk-ins turned away. It gets busy with just three employees at a time. They offer touchless payment as well. The main reason why I love this place are my shellac polishes do not peel for at least two weeks! I have gone three weeks without lifting! They are detailed, and give care and attention to your needs. Every time I visit is a pleasant experience. High recommend! Thank you! read more

My nails after two days...I get that regular polish doesn't last as long as gel but they charged me $32 (I paid $38 total with tip) for it to come off two days later and they nicked my skin a couple of times with the Dremel. read more

I tried to go to a different salon before getting my fill and they refused to do my design. Given that this was something i knew i could achieve myself, i left and came here. This place gave me one of the best sets of nails I've ever had and they are so strong, haven't broke in 2 weeks and are absolutely beautiful. 10/10 will be coming here from now on. read more

It was a great experience at the salon today. I got a mani dipping powder which was my first time trying it. The nail tech did a great job and I love how pretty my nails look. I felt very welcome from the beginning to when I walked out the door. You will also be asked to check your temperature and sanitize your hands which felt safe and professional. Highly recommended this lovely salon and definitely be back again!! read more

I couldn't be happier with the lash extensions I got done. They have a cozy, private, and quiet room where they do eyelash extensions. The lady even put a super soft blanket over me after I laid down on the table. I was so comfortable that I fell asleep for a second. The length process of getting mega volume eyelash extensions went by extremely fast due to how comfortable I was. Also, the lady that did my lashes was so nice. She really wanted to make sure that I was getting what I wanted. Amazing customer service. After I was even given a little bag with after care instructions and a handful of eyelash brushes. I will definitely be returning to B nails. I highly recommend them for eyelash extensions. I am so pleased with them that I am sure to try out the other services they offer. If you're considering getting your nails done here this is ur sign to NOT GO. Where do i start, the prices on the website don't match what they charge you and when you ask about price they take a judgy tone. I came in wanting to get a full set of acrylics with french tips. The trouble started at the beginning of the service when the lady was asking how long i wanted my nails. I told her I wanted them longer than where she was planning to clip them, she said okay and then proceeded to make them SHORTER. I also showed several pictures of how I wanted my french tips to look and she ended up just putting a blob of white on the end of my nails and calling it a day. I don't want to be mean but the whole point of getting acrylics is to make your nails longer and the length she gave me is pretty much the length of my natural nail. I also didn't appreciate how instead of hand painting on the French tips, my nail tech basically just put white nail polish on half of my nail and then use acetone to erase some. And then they have the audacity to charge you 15 extra dollars for a "nail design". The length on all of my nails besides, my thumb was pretty good I just don't think that the design is French tips. I attached a couple photos of what my nails ended up looking like, but this is all to say that I'm extremely dissatisfied. read more

I was looking for a nail salon closer to me. Came across B nails and spa, and love absolutely everything about them. The staff were all very friendly, relaxing environment, and so professional. I got an acrylic fullset with design for a very reasonable price. ($2 design per finger) She spent 1.5 hours on my nails perfecting the shape, design, and making sure I loved the nails. Honestly, so far my best experience getting my nails done and will definitely be returning for my next set. 11/10 stars and recommend to anyone considering getting your nails done here. This place is absolute trash when it comes to nail art. I love the shape and color, but if you can't do nail art just say so. Don't waste 2 hours of my time and $75 out of my pocket for nails that look like this. I would have asked for a refund or just not paid in the first place but the vibes I got were not friendly and I didn't want to cause a commotion in front of their other customers. I can genuinely say I cried once I stepped foot outside the shop. read more

Had a great first experience at B nails! I called at 2 pm and was able to schedule a same day appointment for 2:40. The staff was extremely accommodating to my requests and asked me if I liked the shape of the nail multiple times which was nice. They even had a promo for UW students which was super generous! Will definitely be returning (: read more
