I would not recommend going to her for microneedling. In Dec I went in for a microneedling treatement from Carey. I mentioned to her that my skin was sensitive, but I'd done with procedure before. I did not sign a waiver and wasn't given any instructions for post-care, the down-time needed to recover or helped there after. She overworked by skin to the point or scabbing and bruising and injured by eye area. She made comments like "wow you're bleeding a lot" Even though I was numb I start to feel pain. After the treatment, she followed up and seemed to start to realize the extent of the injury she caused to my skin. She lent me an LED panel for healing which was great. Even after the treatment she added product to my skin and it stung, when I asked about it, she told me that was normal. Not to worry it's normal. Even when my skin started to peel off all over and I had red spots that would eventually scab, she claimed it was normal when in fact she had overworked my skin to the point that it was burned. After a week I post on some post balm I had which was the only thing that would calm my skin. She started to blame me for the post care and badgered me over the Christmas holiday, not to help me, but to get her LED panel back. I have asked for my money back, she has refused, at this point, I'm led to believe she is careless and unprofessional and doesn't trully care about her clients. She doesn't know skin, listen to her clients or take accountability for her actions. After 2 months, I am still healing and have red spots on my face from this procedure. I'm no sure those parts of my face will ever be the same. read more

I found an awesome deal on Groupon for a microdermabrasion and I was so happy to have mine done by Carey! It was my first time getting one, and she was able to answer a lot of my questions. While she was working on my face, she noticed my unruly eyebrows and offered to wax them for an additional $20. She did an amazing job with that for under 15 minutes! My eyebrows came out nicely shaped and not too thin like I wanted. My face also turned out smoother and softer after the treatment. I felt very relaxed and comfortable throughout the whole time while I was getting pampered. Carey is an expertise with what she does, and she is also very sweet. Turns out I'm a total wimp and it's just not for me however Carey was amazing! I must have made her stop about 35 times and after realizing it wasn't my thing she offered to do a wax instead. After the esthetician I'd been seeing for years retired, I went here for electrolysis because of the uniformly positive reviews. Everything started out well, but then I was surprised by how much more painful the treatment was than all the treatments I'd received from the other esthetician. Perhaps because she felt annoyed I was visibly wincing with pain when she didn't think I should be, her attitude changed and she became curt and dismissive. Carey's place is my idea of the perfect spa. Seriously. Carey welcomed me to her home studio, which has beautiful potted tomato plants on the stairs and Tibetan prayer flags overhead. She uses a screened porch , the Zen Den, as a dedicated room for waxing and skin care. Orchids, art tiles, a Buddha hand, and fluttering curtains give the studio a calm vibe. And the place was SPOTLESS. Carey is confident, down-to-earth and funny. She put me at ease right away. I had a medical facial with a brow and lip wax. Carey explained what she was doing, used essential oils, and included such a lovely massage. Not having all the hubbub of other spa goers and staff really made this facial relaxing. Plus, my skin looks amazing! I can see a big difference. And gorgeous brows too. Carey is extremely knowledgeable. I tried the new micro-needling treatment that Carey offers now and WOW! I'm so happy with the results. She used a numbing cream prior to the treatment to make things more comfortable. The treatment kinda hurt, but not bad at all (and I'm a total sissy when it comes to pain). After the treatment, my skin was red (like, pretty darn red) and that is expected. The next day, it looked and felt more like a sunburn, I was kind of dry and my skin was still a little tender. But by day 3 I was back to normal and could see some pretty dramatic results. My pores looked smaller, the fine lines around my eyes looked SO MUCH better. I'm a few weeks out from my treatment and the results still look great!! I'm in my 30s and only recently starting taking proper care of my skin. People are noticing the results... Yay for compliments!! I sent my mom to Carey for the micro-needling treatment as well.
