Just got back home from my first sauna and I feel awesome ! I did 30 min but was able to stay in for 25 .. it's very clean and love the spa music in the background. Got a deal on Groupon and after using my next two might consider a membership as nothing feels better for my body sweating out all those toxins and makes my body feel incredible! I decided to give Sauna Hut a go and Omg I loved it! I booked a 30 minute slot - which was not enough! Next time I go I'm definitely going for 60 minutes! It was super easy to access - I booked using ClassPass and texted the number they provided for my access code. It was sent back to me super quickly with clear instructions. I had a couple of questions and they were answered immediately. The place was really clean and the sauna itself was clean and tidy. As it's an infrared sauna you can take a book in which is exactly what I did. I loved just chilling and reading my book. I would highly recommend coming here! I came after a barre class and it really helped prevent my muscle being too sore the next day! read more

I love everything about this place! I've visited Sauna Hut over a dozen times now for the sauna sessions and find myself re-buying packages. The business model is extremely unique - no human interaction required, extremely affordable, and very flexible hours. I've never had trouble booking online through Vagaro. I booked a room for the sauna online and was texted a code before my first session to let myself in and out of the building. I do my thing in the sauna room and leave when I'm done. Many times I get in and out without seeing or talking to anyone! The place itself is a nice environment. Thoughtful touches throughout the place like towels, water, magazines and even face wash in the bathroom. Some of the cleanliness in the sauna is based on the honor system (people are supposed to clean up after themselves with provided disinfectant and cleaner) but there's never been a problem for me. read more

I booked a 60 minute "Fix It" session with Julie Anne and boy did she fix it. We first started off talking about my aches & pains (upper back and a VERY stiff neck, plus soreness in my arms from working out, plus a random sore muscle on my left leg). The massage bed was so comfortable, and she even asked me if there are any scents I don't like which I really appreciated since I hate dessert scents. The massage started with a hot towel that was scented with so many good things (lavender, a ton of citrus, bergamot). Then she proceeded to give me the massage and most importantly the neck massage I have been seeking my entire life. No seriously, most places might spend 10 min on my stiff neck if I insist, but she really spent time on it and when I was walking out of the massage room I noted it was the best it had felt all year. She mentioned that she has experience with injury massage so that must be the difference I was looking for. I'm definitely going to be back. The studio was small, clean, and smelled super good. They also have a massage membership deal that is well worth it and that I'll be signing up for! read more

They have repeatedly texted me about minor complaints that they should address without involving me as the complaints are by other customers who are complaining about things that can be easily addressed on their own or with the staff's aid and it's not necessary to involve me. One of their clients has invaded my personal space by attempting to lurk in the room while I was exiting a private room (this happened while staff was not present) and once my room that I booked was occupied by an intruder. only involved staff in one of those instances even though their memberships are expensive and I should not have to be inconvenienced by these issues in the first place. Their complaints to me were about things like noise (in a big city, while their building is located right across a fire station) and not canceling bookings when I've told them my schedule is irregular and bookings will be missed, I book at one of their less busy locations anyway. They have also changed the code to door without notifying customers which caused an inconvenience that again, I did not file a complaint on. Some of their clients are older and should be established enough to address these issues themselves, they cannot keep inconveniencing people who are occupied with working to pay their membership fee. read more

Their Facebook offers day of specials when they have openings, proving they are willing to make a little less to ensur their staff always have full schedules. I can't believe I've been going here for years and never reviewed them. They started off as a two story spa with multiple beds and even a shower or two but quickly changed to a more compact model. Now, I go there specifically for the massages especially with Katie! Katie can get knots out like no other and I feel so much better after every massage. She's good with talking or no talking but it's never really awkward with her. They have deals/specials if you sign up for their emails. The spa is owned locally by two friends who both know their stuff. Street parking is fairly easy and free. Everyone I've ever encountered at this spa has been warm, friendly, super flexible with scheduling and kind. I will not be going anywhere else for massages! read more

I've been to Lolo twice now and for three different treatments (& the infrared sauna). I can't say enough good things about Lolo! Everyone I've interacted with has been so nice and warm, and most importantly, the estheticians I've seen really know what they're doing. A few weeks ago I saw Megan for a body wrap and facial and throughly enjoyed this session. This was my first facial so I have nothing to compare it to, but oh man, what a treat! The body wrap was also really nice but the facial won me over. Most recently, I saw Tiffany for a Brazilian. We started with a wax but Tiffany asked to try sugaring (due to my hair type and sensitive skin) and I can say with certainty I will never be waxed again, nor will I see anyone else in the Seattle area! All around fantastic experience and I'm actually looking forward to my next appointment! My only other comment would be while I really enjoyed the infrared sauna, it was sort of a small and uncomfortable space. I wish I could have stretched my legs out, or at least had enough space to sit on the length of the bench, lean my back against one end and put my feet up. I'm not even very tall (5'5) and had a hard time getting comfy in there. That said, I don't know what other infrared saunas are like, maybe they're all small? Anyway, I highly recommend Lolo and plan to continue going for all my beauty needs! Finally found my go to place for waxing! This place is wonderful- affordable prices and comfortable setting. I used a Groupon (30$) for Brazilian wax and after I finished, I immediately bought another one. The waxing was very quick and not very painful. She has great conversation which distracts you. And the table bed you lie on has a table warmer!!! Such a great touch. It was very sanitary, no reused wooden sticks. The only drawback is the waiting area is not very comfortable but it definitely did not bother me as everything else was so wonderful. I got the 60 minute "Fix It" massage today from Julie Ann and I am so grateful! I made the mistake of thinking I could carry a heavy awkward box with no core strength to speak of. By the next day, a stiff pain started in my lower back and worked it's way up. I'm a waxer at a salon in Belltown, so after 2 days of back to back appointments, I could barely stand up straight. I came into Lolo last week for a Brazilian (with a groupon) and had one of the BEST waxing experiences ever!!! I'm not kidding. I'm no stranger to down there hair removal and Megan was the bomb!! She is super friendly and distracts you with questions, which is much needed. She was fast and efficient. I am so excited I've found such a great place to get waxed so close to my home! The space is really neat also. It's in one of those tall houses with retail space below but they've turned the whole house into event space! I have had three services(!) at Lolo Spa so far (it is way too close to my house to refuse). These included a facial (Be Stunning facial), massage (Spark massage) and my first-ever body wrap (Bagni Di Pisa Mud/Gel Treatment). Walking into Lolo Spa is immediately relaxing and welcoming. The decor is modern and pristine with an elegant touch of glitz and glam. You really feel like you're at a mini getaway retreat. The spa has 4 levels and has a boutique feel. Staff are kind and friendly and want you to have the most of your experience. I would definitely ask for a tour of the spa and consider this place for not only massage and spa services but as a private event space for a bridal party, date night or other special event. The 3rd floor offers a full kitchen and the top floor has a rooftop deck with a fire pit. I asked about possibilities as far as accommodating a special event here, and they mentioned even after-hour accommodation. They also have AC which was wonderful after a long day at work in 80+degree weather. What I loved most about my services is the quality of the products. My past experience with facials have been generally positive, although a stinging feeling during the process was common and i felt like there was too much abrasiveness to many of them. This particular facial was as relaxing as a massage, and none of the steps felt abrasive or painful. The rubber mask part was cooling and felt wonderful on my skin. The massage techniques that were throughout the facial were wonderful too. I could tell a significant difference to my skin afterward, and many of my blackheads were no longer there! My massage was also great. You can tell that Kristi has many years of experience in her practice and she could tell exactly where my problem areas were. What I love most about massage at this location is that upon checking in, you not only fill out health information but how you are FEELING that day. Are you feeling chatty? Would you prefer a quiet experience? This is something that is so simple yet no other place I have been to actually asks what type of atmosphere you prefer for your massage. If you want to totally zone out you can say so ahead of time, and they respect that. I also love that they use coconut oil, so in the event you have somewhere to be afterward, you don't feel sticky or greasy, as coconut oil absorbs well and feels just right. My first-ever body wrap was quite the experience! I have heard many benefits of algae wraps and it felt so nice being applied. I was then robed and continued into the sauna for a few minutes before showing and given a generous dose of moisturizer to apply afterward. My skin felt soft and refreshed. I definitely recommend coming to this one well-hydrated, especially in the summer months. The spa offers water (pineapple-infused when I went!) so drink up before, during and after! All in all Lolo Spa is a wonderful location for spa services, and their prices are comparable to that of other 5-star spas. Their Upgrade Your Day membership is a steal of a deal which comes with a service (massage, facial or wrap) as well as bubbles (or green drink), 30min sauna and a Vitamin-C infused shower, whereas similar spas I have been to offer only the service itself for that price. I'd definitely recommend giving this place a visit for your next service. read more

I just had my first ever brow shaping/sugaring experience, and I'm SO happy I came to LoLo Spa! Amy was very sweet and did such a good job! I couldn't stop checking out my brows in the rearview mirror afterward! The sugaring itself was actually relaxing! I could have fallen asleep - the music was chill and Amy was very gentle. I might have twitched a couple of times just because I was a little nervous as a sugaring newbie, but it didn't hurt at all. My eyebrows (or eyebrow if I'm being honest about my unibrow) have always been difficult to deal with on my own, so it's nice to have some professional help! Wouldn't call it relaxing as we worked together to address some back and shoulder areas that had been giving me trouble. Katie is obviously very experienced and intuitive. In addition to the physical adjustments, we discussed options for minimizing the issues going forward (being more conscientious about holding my baby on both sides when feeding, moving my mousepad a little closer to my body on my standing desk, etc). She chatted you up and explained what she was doing do and asked about you to distract you. I can't say it wasn't painful but it was less than I originally thought it would be. I've been coming here and recommending this place to others for about 3 years now. While I've had everything from waxes, to dermaplaning to sauna sessions I go back every month for massages with Katie Martin. Katie is unlike any massage therapist I'd seen before as she can feel and work through different things in my body in a way that's get's rid of the knots and yucky things but while still making me feel relaxed. Before coming here I'd been getting weekly adjustments with my chiropractor, since signing up for a monthly membership I havent needed to go back in years. Katie also is always running on time and enjoyable to talk to (or be quiet with), I've grown to consider her my friend and would recommend her highly to anyone wanting a great massage, the only down side is she's so good her schedule can fill up quickly, but she's always making accommodations even if that means she's working extra days or longer days. You haven't had a good massage until you experience one from someone who is a DNC. I was a patient of Kristi when she had a chiropractic business in a Cap hill and have followed her to her new venture in Ballard at LOLO. She won my business for life in 2012 after I herniated my C7. I assumed she would be able to work on my neck but she said with a bulging disk her treatment could do more harm than good. So rather than taking my money and risking my health she sent me home with a self use traction device that has completely corrected my issue. Instead of spending hundreds with a quack or thousands in surgery that may or may not have helped, she gave me my solution for $35. Anytime I get a massage I will use her. I can't really say anything about their other services because I haven't used them but I would bet you will be well taken care of! read more

I love me a good spa and this small space packs it all in. Tucked away in Ballard, exactly right across the street from Scandinavian Specialties. What I love most, is that it's private and not right smack downtown with a million other people walking by. Making the appointment was super easy to do online, parking was a breeze since it was a Sunday. I greeted warmly and then led to the sauna where there was plenty of cool water, a large chair, cozy bath robes, and a small plate of almonds for stamina after sweating. I went for the infrared sauna treatment, which was amazing to be in 140 degrees of dry heat for me. I just wished there was more room to stretch inside. Once finished I was offered the use of a vitamin C shower, which I mean how could I no to that?! I was taken upstairs to a larger bathroom and had my own private shower of citrus smelling rain. Delicious! My only gripe would be that when I initially offered the shower, the gal aid she wouldn't charge me, but when it came time to pay, she charged me $5. Not a huge deal, but I'd prefer to know whether I'm getting things for free or a discount. I live fairly close by to this place, so I'm certain I'll be frequenting it much more in the future. read more
