For the past few years since working from home full-time, I have been prioritizing self-care:…read moreconsistent movement, stretching, chiropractic care, sports therapy, acupuncture, facials, meditation, you name it! Unfortunately around the time I started full-time remote work, my massage spot at the time stopped taking my insurance. It has been challenging finding a provider that takes my insurance AND does not have a long waitlist. Anyways, a few months ago, I slightly pulled my back during our move to the new apt. I decided to try Elements Massage on Holman mainly due to its convenience of being close to home. I was scheduled to see Emily, and have been seeing her since then. What I appreciate about Emily is that she takes the time to educate you on not only the cause of pain and tension, but ways to improve your self-care at home: utilizing ice packs, stretches, salt soaks, etc. Incorporating these in my own routines has made a huge improvement in my post recovery workouts and back/neck tension. At my last session, I was feeling so tired that I told Emily I felt like I will pass out on the table. I let Emily do her magic and she delivered giving me nice, relaxing full-body massage. It was such a great treat, and a testimony, on how much my back/neck tension has improved in few months. I enjoyed it so much that I booked a 90 min session with Emily next month. While you can book single sessions, the membership at Elements is such a great deal. I went with the $99/month for one 60 min session which can carry over, gift to a friend, or you can pay a little extra to extend the time. Honestly, this is one of the best investments you can do for your body and I couldn't be more enthusiastic to recommend Elements Massage.

I have been coming to this place for a few years. This place always has same day availability, which is wonderful, and is not nearly as expensive as high-end places which makes this an ideal choice for "oh god, I'm hurting, I need a massage" quick fixes. I usually get a couple's hot stone massage here with my partner - so getting in last minute in extremely impressive because its accommodating two people, two massage therapists, and having a couple's massage room. The massages we get are great - the hot stones are wonderful; the massages are targeted and helpful.

My…read morejob takes a toll on my muscles and if I didn't have the care I do here, I'd be in constant pain. I've seen a lot of the therapists here but Alyssa is my favorite by far! She listens to what you are looking for (if your shoulders have been stiff, or if you want a relaxing massage that day), she's really strong, and very skilled at making knotty muscles behave! I love that I can ask her for the sciencey-answer to what she's doing or what muscles are locked up; it empowers me to learn more about my body and how to care for it afterwards! The spa itself offers convenient online booking, it's very clean and peaceful (and looks down onto the ocean!), and their customer service is top notch. I use their Wellness Plan option, which offers a year of monthly massage appointments for a slight discount. Love it!! I hope this place stays here forever. And the fact that it's right beside the ocean means that if you want to continue relaxing after your massage, you can just walk downstairs and sit on the beach.

Hmmmm. Since baby was born I have not had a chance to do…read moreanything for myself. Baby is now 9 months and my husband generously purchased a surprise facial & massage. I left pretty disappointed. 5 Stars facial -- The facial was awesome. The esthetician was so sweet and bubbly. She explained what was going to happen and her positive energy alone was 5+++ Stars. I would go back solely for future facials with her :) The massage: it was by a girl named Jennifer. After reading the reviews I'm saddens that I got a newbie vs. Marisa. It was the worst massage I have ever gotten. When the masseuse came in to meet me after I had spoken to the esthetician she was not warm - and bland. I told her I wanted deep tissue & to not be gentle. It started off ok, but as she got further along I thought "did I pay for a massage or merely to be inadequately rubbed with lotion". You know the massage isn't great when you're left laying there wondering when it's going to be over and it feeling like it's taking forever. I have had better relief when getting out of a long shower. Total disappointment ... :(

As someone who gets massages regularly, I'm usually very picky about pressure--I've dealt with therapists elsewhere who go so hard they trigger tension headaches, or others who are so light I can barely feel it. The consistency here is what really sets them apart. I've seen many different masseuses at this location, and no matter who I get, the pressure is always spot on. They have an intuitive sense of when to dial it back and when to keep going. A few other highlights: Facilities: The space is always clean and professional. Privacy: They offer individual rooms for full body massages, which is a great plus. Value: Their prices are very reasonable for the quality of work you receive. This is honestly the best Chinese massage spot in Seattle. I can't recommend them enough!

Just truly makes me feel taken care of. And I don't get the expensive massages, just the Chinese Foot Reflexology. The $35 deal, and when they try to upsell me, I just say No, and request Grace. For me, as a longtime chef who is always on his feet, always with tight shoulders, and poor circulation and badly tense forearms from my knife work and sauté pans...it's like having someone platonically pet me and let me know- it's gonna be okay. You keep your clothes on, it's a professional operation and I absolutely feel safe there with Grace. When she's not there, its okay. Other people have their own styles with their own strengths and weaknesses, and if it's ever not to your liking for whatever reason, saying something is acceptable and listened to. But I give 5 stars to Grace, and maybe 3.5-4 for the rest of the operation. As long as she's there, you got my 5z
