Unsure if it's the same owner. The wings seem smaller than I remember when I used to eat at the Burbank, CA location. I miss it a lot. Shrink flatiron? The place is clean. Only thing that was a bummer is that they don't have the iconic curly fries. Instead, they have preseasoned waffle fries and they just are not it. Mixed feelings about Tokyo Chick. We stopped in right when they opened on a Saturday, were the only…read morecustomers in the establishment, and both my husband and I agreed it overall wasn't a good experience and we won't be back. The good: The people working at the counter were very friendly and welcoming. We took a while to order, and they were patient and courteous. They gave our kids free little light up chick toys that they absolutely loved and kept them entertained while we waited for our food! The bad: - The reason it took us so long to order was because they were seemingly out of half of their menu items. Everything we wanted to order was out of stock, so we settled on boneless chicken with fries and chicken gyoza - Something very important to note is that they primarily serve dark meat for the boneless chicken. Dark meat can have a pink/red color even when fully cooked. We had several pieces that looked so red that we didn't feel comfortable eating them because it just looked unappetizing how red it was and I didn't feel fully certain it was cooked because I don't carry around a food thermometer lol. But no one in our party got sick, so I assume it was cooked? I honestly don't know. -When we arrived, they were playing very loud, very explicit hip hop. I love hip hop myself and it would have been fine if our kids weren't with us, but with kids it was just kinda weird to be listening to very explicit lyrics at 10 AM lol. It wasn't just normal hip hop, it was like the extra explicit cut of some SoundCloud rapper. Eventually they changed it to very loud country music. Just weird vibes either way

The food at bb.q Pasadena is pretty consistent and if you're looking for that typical flavor of…read moreKorean fried chicken, you will get that here. I only ever order takeout from this location and there's definitely things that could be improved. The location is on busy Colorado so parking is a nightmare. The workers here have absolutely no sense of urgency. Often I've been the only customer picking up and the speed of service could only be described as "meandering" to find and hand me my order. As previously mentioned, there's no issue with the food. It's juicy and flavorful. But there's inconsistencies like sometimes I get the side radish and utensils but other times not at all. The attitude of the workers you interact with are that of someone who has absolutely no pride in their work and are simply tolerating customers. It would go a long way to improve this location if workers were trained to do everything as efficiently and quickly as possible. The cost is also astronomically high for chicken. A whole chicken is $31 before any taxes or fees. It's not competitive with other Korean fried chicken places and you have to imagine part of the cost is due to the location. I would be sad if this branch closed, since it is closest to where I live, but it wouldn't be a shock that it did close. There's a lot of low hanging easy changes that could be made. Better training from management, more local deals, and focusing on customer service.

The customer is next to you how can you not look at them...lol After almost an hour I got my food only to find that pickled radish was spoiled. Luckily I added an extra so it saved me. When I took out the container it was already full of gas and about to explode. When I opened it, smelled horrible like raw food left in the garbage disposal for weeks. (You can see how cloudy the juice is from the picture) Over all, I understand that this location has the worst review among other bb.q chicken in SGV, I'd choose other place next time. Food was good so 3 stars for that.

Fair prices, large portion sizes, and fresh tasty food. Seating: both indoor and outdoor Parking: small parking lot outside, free Takeout: available, many people were picking up phone orders Here's what we ordered: Pollo Saltado: Tender boneless chicken breast fit perfectly with the stir fry. The rice was accented perfectly with the flavorful broth. Chicken combo: The chicken skin had a nice crunch, while the meat was juicy and tender. I chose rice and fried plantains for sides. The plantains were golden brown, with a rich flavor.

We ordered the honey garlic chicken, seafood pancake, tteokbokki, and corn cheese. For 4 people this was a good amount of food. First off the honey garlic chicken was AMAZING. the chicken was super juicy and crispy and the honey made the fried skin taste like a biscuit. It was actually insane, I would come back here just for the chicken, 10/10. The seafood pancake was also amazing. It was crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. It had lots of shrimp and squid, and dipped in the sauce it was delicious, 10/10. I'd say both the corn cheese and tteokbokki were not super worth it. The tteokbokki was relatively small, given the price. And it was quite spicy, a little too spicy for me. The corn cheese tasted like butane gas, or how a birthday candle smells, so it was just alright. Both were a 5/10. I would definitely come back again to try more food!

It honestly broke my heart. The man who I assume was the owner always seemed to be running the place himself. He was a true one-man show, and somehow still managed to make the best wings I've ever had. I'm not exaggerating when I say I'd buy those wings out of someone's backyard if he was still making them. They were that good. Bambino's was one of Pasadena's hidden gems. I genuinely think more people would have fallen in love with it if it had been in a busier, more visible location. The food deserved so much more recognition. I'm really hoping this isn't the end of Bambino's. If the owner ever opens another location, starts a food truck, or even just starts selling those wings somewhere else, I'll be one of the first people in line. Thank you for all the incredible meals and memories. You'll definitely be missed.
