Half lemon pepper and half mild. Yum!
    Pamela K.

Super casual wing place. They have Sammie's and burgers and salads. But coworker said they are known for their wings. For years. The flavor of the lemon pepper and mild were delish. Vibe is super chill, clean, and decor is not much to write home about. They focus on the wings. :) Parking is challenging but find the lot down the street or around the corner for minimal $. If I'm back in the area, I think I'd come back.

Came here on a lark....was craving some wings and fries....something fast. Was practically empty....the lobr server ( Tina K.) greeted me immediately. I had the 8 piece special combo with fries with 1/2 barbecue and 1/2 lemon pepper. It was good...satisfying. Total price = $17.50. Nothing over the top but good...reasonable price and quick service. Suggestion: provide more than one of those hand sanitizing wipes...need about 3 per soon minimum.

I've been coming to this location for a few years now and I can pretty much say I've always been satisfied with everything we order. My families go to is the wing combo (we've tried both bone in and boneless) I see other reviews talking about the sauce of the wings and can't say anything negative in my experience! Service is always 8/10, they show sports games which is nice. Overall it's a great place to grab a bite and enjoy the food.

So right off the bat, I'll say this location looks way better than the Glendale one. You walk in and it's immediately cleaner and has a more upscale vibe to it, if that makes sense (Glendale is more like a cozy diner vibe). The servers were nice; nothing over the top, but solid. They took our order quickly and the food came out fast too. The food itself was really good, and I actually enjoyed dining in this time since I've usually only ordered delivery before. Overall, it was a really good experience, and I'd definitely come back here again even though it's a bit further for me.

Date of visit: February 1, 2025 Selections: Grilled Chicken Sandwich Curly Fries Experience: My husband was craving boneless hot wings, so I hopped onto DoorDash and found this place. I ordered him some wings with fries while I stuck with a grilled chicken salad with fries. I totally forgot to ask for no tomato, so by the time I removed all the pieces it looked like there was a whole tomato cut into there. I was disappointed that there wasn't a lot of chicken pieces considering it looked like a whole head of lettuce went into the salad too and the curly fries were bland. The ranch dressing definitely saved my meal and I ended up using both cups of it for my salad and fries. Not sure if I will order from here again.

My partner and I were exploring Pasadena and stumbled upon this place. We were immediately welcomed and invited to sit at whichever booth we preferred. We did go in at a slow time but it's still worth mentioning that our service was great! Super attentive to anything we needed, questions and refills. The food was good and the fried zucchini was absolutely delicious. The only reason I didn't put 5 stars was because of my traditional wings- some of the smallest wings I've seen haha but still enough to fill me up so I can't complain about my time here!

So I want to say I am a hot wings cafe lifer! Been coming here before all the renovations and insane price hike. I love their flavor of wings but as the years pass the wings became smaller and smaller as their prices got higher and higher just came in for lunch and when I was met with a brand new fancy menu I knew the prices were gonna be hiked again. An 8 piece combo that comes with fries use to be $8.95! Now I understand times have changed and the economy but my god $17.99 for 8 tiny wings? Can't even throw in a soda? Hot wings you need to reconsider what you are charging for the quality of food you are providing before you find yourselves out of business which I would hate because I love these wings! Please please do better. Oh and they don't come saucy enough so you have to order a side of sauce use to be .50 cents it's now .95 cents. To order all flats use to be $1 it's now $2

Tried Hot Wings Pasadena and was really impressed. The l hot wings had the perfect level of heat and flavor--not overpowering but definitely satisfying. The lemon pepper wings were on point: well seasoned, tangy, and not dry at all. The curly fries were crispy and a great side to the wings. All of these items went well with their delicious ranch! Everything tasted fresh and came out hot. Definitely a solid spot for wings. The workers polite and very attentive as well. The restaurant itself offers great plenty of seating and TVs for games.

Great place, fast service, and delicious food! I can imagine this place is perfect for the weekends or a game day! I'll definitely be back!

Always walk by this place and finally decided to give it a try. I had the 8pc combo with curly fries and bone in ( half bbq/ half lemon pepper) and were very good!! I also had the 6 pc boneless mild ( buffalo sauce) which were good also. I also ordered the Hartford Grinder sandwich but not what I was expecting. It came with turkey, ham, provolone cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and Italian dressing. The Italian dressing was way over powering for the sandwich and made me feel like I was eating a salad. The service was awesome and our waitress did a great job! The restaurant has a lot of seating, lots of tv's showing different sports channels, and restaurant is very clean. Wings are worth a try and price is very good for wings.

The alley was well lit enough that it didn't feel sketchy, though if I were inclined to beat someone up, this would probably be a convenient place to do it. The space was slightly below ground, down a flight of stairs from the alley. It felt like an Irish pub/sports bar with a tap list of California beers in addition to Coors Light and Guinness. Service was friendly and reasonably fast. I had a Made West Hazy IPA and a Pizza Port Amber, both of which I've had and enjoyed several times in several places over the years. I also ate some fries that were lying around, probably but not certainly by someone I at least sort of know. They weren't bad. I live kind of far from Pasadena and T. There's a parking lot dedicated to the big shopping plaza that Yard House is located in. They have a 90 minute free parking with validation. My group and I went around 3:30 and there were a lot of people seated and waiting for seats. Although their restaurant is pretty big, the hostess did mention that they only had 3 waiters working so a lot of sections were closed off. We were seated within 10 minutes of waiting. We browsed the happy hour menu and ordered pretty quickly after sitting down. Our food all came out one by one. It was pretty decent for the price. We ordered 3 appetizers and the total came out to be ~$35. Appetizers: Poke Nachos (7.4/10): There's a good amount of tuna fish layered on top of the nachos. I really liked the wonton chips they use for this dish since it's a lot lighter than a regular tortilla chip. There's three different types of sauce that they drizzle on top for the nachos. There's a good amount of sweetness and spice between all the sauces. I just wish there were more fish and avocados. Chicken Tenders and Fries (7/10): This one is just your average chicken tenders with fries. It came with 5 tenders and a small basket of fries. The dipping sauces included ranch and honey mustard. This wasn't the same honey mustard I was used to and it had a sour taste to it. The chicken was crispy and had good seasoning in the batter. The fries weren't that good. It was soggy and didn't have any crisp to it. Chicken Nachos (6/10): This one was a heavy on the stomach dish. There's two different types of salsa, cheese, beans, and then a scoop of guac and sour cream in the middle. They used a tortilla chip instead of wonton chips for this dish. Everything felt like a mouthful.

Overall, our recent experiences have been solid. It's always great when an "old favorite" still feels like a good value. I miss some of the menu items like the lentil shepherd's pie, but we have very much enjoyed the hearty English breakfast. They also have a good selection of European beers on tap. Service has been friendly, but it is lightly staffed and pretty slow, so it's not a good place if you are in a hurry. They don't keep an eye on the patio, so if you sit out there, it's best to go inside and let them know. They also seem to have more rules than before - but I have to imagine these have come from experience. I don't think this is an ideal place to go with a large group. If it's a quiet night you might be able to pull tables together long-ways, but most tables seem ideal for 2-4. We come with our dog and sit on the patio when it isn't busy. The dog meals are massive (more food than ours eats in a whole day and she weighs 60 lbs). It's a good value, but beware if your dog is on a diet! Overall, my favorite thing is that genuinely feels like a pub, in that you can just come as you are and take your time without being rushed. A good fit for both locals and visitors in Pasadena.

My best experiences have been when I sit at the bar (alone or with friends), drinks only. Even at that, the service has rarely been stellar. Sierra Madre is the exception as far as the service is concerned. Never have had bad service there. The other 2 locations.....meh! The Old Town location is the worst as far as comfort is concerned. Super cramped and claustrophobic. No elbow room whatsoever. The other two locations aren't as tight but still need better spacing. The food here is mediocre at very best. The traditional Fish and Chips equal 3 words.....soggy, Soggy and.....SOGGY!! Crisp isn't even in their vocabulary. Both, Fish and Chips are very under-seasoned and just very disappointing and unappealing. The "Bangers and Mash" are equally disappointing. Are you serious.....deep frying the Brats to "finish them off "? The flavorless Mashed and Gravy really seal this dish as a sucker's bet. And don't get me started on the nasty frozen peas that they serve. The British Curry is the best of the traditional fare and it is barely average. Desperately in need of flavor. I go to the East Pasadena location on New Year's Eve to meet a very large group of motorcyclists for a ride, but after 3 years in a row of very disappointing breakfasts now all I do is meet them there and ride. I mean, have you ever had greasy pancakes?! And the kitchen couldn't cook an egg to order if their lives depended on it! I have to say that they do have a couple tasty Burgers though. Not what most go to an "English Pub" for but pretty much the best stuff on the menu is in burger form. The "English" is a pretty solid burger, well rounded flavors and a big seasoned and juicy patty. The "Irish" is good too. I just don't understand the Swiss Cheese, why not an Irish Cheddar?! The rest their Burgers/Sandwiches seem very uninspired, something you can get in just about every restaurant in America! Do yourself a favor and get the Steak Fries (well done) with your Burger, not the soggy homemade Fries. I went this Sunday 07/05 with some out of town guests to hit up a futbol match. They wanted to watch in a "real pub atmosphere", and had heard of Lucky Baldwins on Big Bang Theory. There was 7 of us and we arrived early enough to get a good table for the match. The place was virtually empty when we got there but filled up quickly. We all ordered our beers, then my buddies unloaded on some appetizers....5 Scotch Eggs, 2 Irish Nachos (with Steak Fries, no Tomato) and 2 Buffalo Cauliflower (1 with no sauce). Everyone Loved the Scotch Eggs, they were grub. The Grain Mustard is such a compliment. The Cauliflower was very good, with a crispy breading and very well seasoned. The Buffalo Sauce added a great kick but the Bleu Cheese Dressing was not up to par.....watery and where was the Bleu Cheese?! Our Irish Nachos were decent but came with Tomatoes (which I cannot eat). I do have to say that they do have a great variety of ale and beers. They are a little pricey though. Go for the beer, stay for the beer, be mindful of what you order!

When we walked in, there was a tall, bald male bartender and a blonde female bartender working--neither of whom I've seen here before. We ordered two drinks, but the service from the male bartender was inattentive from the start. At one point, my friend tried to get someone's attention to ask for a lime and wasn't acknowledged. She ended up grabbing a lime herself from the garnish tray--which I understand isn't ideal--but the response we got was completely out of line. The male bartender became immediately hostile and started aggressively cursing at my friend. When I calmly asked the female bartender if this was normal behavior, he inserted himself into the conversation and said, "she put her fucking hand in the fucking jar," in a very confrontational tone. I tried to de-escalate the situation and respectfully explained that there was no reason to speak to us that way, but he continued the hostility and ultimately told us to "get the fuck out." At that point, I paid for our drinks and we left. What made this especially disappointing is that this has never been our experience here before. We've always enjoyed this bar and have had positive interactions with the regular staff. If this had been my first visit, I would not come back. I understand that what my friend did wasn't appropriate, but it absolutely did not justify being yelled at and cursed out. I hope management addresses this, because this kind of behavior is not reflective of the bar I've come to know.
