Half lemon pepper and half mild. Yum!
Pamela K.

Super casual wing place. They have Sammie's and burgers and salads. But coworker said they are known for their wings. For years. The flavor of the lemon pepper and mild were delish. Vibe is super chill, clean, and decor is not much to write home about. They focus on the wings. :) Parking is challenging but find the lot down the street or around the corner for minimal $. If I'm back in the area, I think I'd come back.

Came here on a lark....was craving some wings and fries....something fast. Was practically empty....the lobr server ( Tina K.) greeted me immediately. I had the 8 piece special combo with fries with 1/2 barbecue and 1/2 lemon pepper. It was good...satisfying. Total price = $17.50. Nothing over the top but good...reasonable price and quick service. Suggestion: provide more than one of those hand sanitizing wipes...need about 3 per soon minimum.

So I want to say I am a hot wings cafe lifer! Been coming here before all the renovations and insane price hike. I love their flavor of wings but as the years pass the wings became smaller and smaller as their prices got higher and higher just came in for lunch and when I was met with a brand new fancy menu I knew the prices were gonna be hiked again. An 8 piece combo that comes with fries use to be $8.95! Now I understand times have changed and the economy but my god $17.99 for 8 tiny wings? Can't even throw in a soda? Hot wings you need to reconsider what you are charging for the quality of food you are providing before you find yourselves out of business which I would hate because I love these wings! Please please do better. Oh and they don't come saucy enough so you have to order a side of sauce use to be .50 cents it's now .95 cents. To order all flats use to be $1 it's now $2

So right off the bat, I'll say this location looks way better than the Glendale one. You walk in and it's immediately cleaner and has a more upscale vibe to it, if that makes sense (Glendale is more like a cozy diner vibe). The servers were nice; nothing over the top, but solid. They took our order quickly and the food came out fast too. The food itself was really good, and I actually enjoyed dining in this time since I've usually only ordered delivery before. Overall, it was a really good experience, and I'd definitely come back here again even though it's a bit further for me.

Grilled Chicken Salad Curly Fries

Date of visit: February 1, 2025 Selections: Grilled Chicken Sandwich Curly Fries Experience: My husband was craving boneless hot wings, so I hopped onto DoorDash and found this place. I ordered him some wings with fries while I stuck with a grilled chicken salad with fries. I totally forgot to ask for no tomato, so by the time I removed all the pieces it looked like there was a whole tomato cut into there. I was disappointed that there wasn't a lot of chicken pieces considering it looked like a whole head of lettuce went into the salad too and the curly fries were bland. The ranch dressing definitely saved my meal and I ended up using both cups of it for my salad and fries. Not sure if I will order from here again.

My partner and I were exploring Pasadena and stumbled upon this place. We were immediately welcomed and invited to sit at whichever booth we preferred. We did go in at a slow time but it's still worth mentioning that our service was great! Super attentive to anything we needed, questions and refills. The food was good and the fried zucchini was absolutely delicious. The only reason I didn't put 5 stars was because of my traditional wings- some of the smallest wings I've seen haha but still enough to fill me up so I can't complain about my time here!

Tried Hot Wings Pasadena and was really impressed. The l hot wings had the perfect level of heat and flavor--not overpowering but definitely satisfying. The lemon pepper wings were on point: well seasoned, tangy, and not dry at all. The curly fries were crispy and a great side to the wings. All of these items went well with their delicious ranch! Everything tasted fresh and came out hot. Definitely a solid spot for wings. The workers polite and very attentive as well. The restaurant itself offers great plenty of seating and TVs for games.

Great place, fast service, and delicious food! I can imagine this place is perfect for the weekends or a game day! I'll definitely be back!

Always walk by this place and finally decided to give it a try. I had the 8pc combo with curly fries and bone in ( half bbq/ half lemon pepper) and were very good!! I also had the 6 pc boneless mild ( buffalo sauce) which were good also. I also ordered the Hartford Grinder sandwich but not what I was expecting. It came with turkey, ham, provolone cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and Italian dressing. The Italian dressing was way over powering for the sandwich and made me feel like I was eating a salad. The service was awesome and our waitress did a great job! The restaurant has a lot of seating, lots of tv's showing different sports channels, and restaurant is very clean. Wings are worth a try and price is very good for wings.

I always enjoy coming to hot wings cafe -- the food is great and it's always wonderful time coming with friends. There's definitely a place to visit if you have a late night outing in old town Pasadena. I usually opt for lemon pepper wings and hot wings, but I opted for the nuggets instead this time. They weren't as good as their wings but they were still pretty tasty. Do you recommend getting their wings instead of the nuggets. The service was good, we were checked on a couple of times throughout our meal. We did visit the place around 12 AM, as they close at 1 AM on the weekend. We did feel a bit rushed just given the time we went which is pretty understandable. They will usually basketball or sports games on their TVs which I always enjoy watching. I can see this place getting a rather large crowd on a big game day. I really enjoyed the music they were playing -- it was a lot of hip hop and early r&b which i am a huge fan of! Really good vibes in the restaurant. tldr: great wings and even greater playlists

We came here on a Wednesday early afternoon and service was great!! Karen was so friendly and attentive! Friendly attitude and just welcomin!! The boneless chicken wings were excellent! Juicy inside and firm outside! The 8 piece combo chicken wings with curly fries were spot on perfect. We would definitely return soon. My friend and I stayed longer after eating them ordered takeout and she was so accommodating! We will be back!!!

The door alone felt like entering what could become your new favorite fast burger fix, without tasting like fast food may I add. The two story tavern was bustling with what seemed to be different tables of friends, which made me wonder if this is what Cheers felt like, all while everyone watched Sunday football. We ordered at the bar, a Cowboy Smash Burger for me, Smash Sliders for the Mr, and sweet chili wings to start, with the right crisp on them. Service was clear, accommodating, and fast. I think we got our food within ten to fifteen minutes. We will definitely be back for the food and the family vibes T. Boyles offers.

It was a great place for some casual, mildly literary drinking on a Thursday night. The bar was in an alley, and I was happy to find free, easy street parking right outside the alley entrance. The alley was well lit enough that it didn't feel sketchy, though if I were inclined to beat someone up, this would probably be a convenient place to do it. The space was slightly below ground, down a flight of stairs from the alley. It felt like an Irish pub/sports bar with a tap list of California beers in addition to Coors Light and Guinness. Service was friendly and reasonably fast. I had a Made West Hazy IPA and a Pizza Port Amber, both of which I've had and enjoyed several times in several places over the years. I also ate some fries that were lying around, probably but not certainly by someone I at least sort of know. They weren't bad. I live kind of far from Pasadena and T. Boyle's isn't a destination bar, but I'd come back for another round or two after Vroman's. It's a comfortable spot with good draft beer, where you can relax and have some conversations.

My bartender, Sarah, proffered a perfect poor, with a smile and a laugh, and I was ready for a good time. The menu is packed with traditional pub favorites plus other general sandwiches and salads, etc. I decided on their Reuben, which is built with Corned Beef, Swiss, Sauerkraut, both Russian AND Mustard, and it's served with fresh cut Fries. The sandwich was hearty and generously made, with flavorful corned beef boasting all the best of the pickling spices without too much salt -- the cook knows how to balance flavors. The sauerkraut and melty Swiss provided a rich, acidic contrast to the beef, an effect echoed by the blending of Russian with Brown Mustard. Then there was the bread -- an artisan rye with good flavor, appealing texture and just the right amount of fresh seeds to let you know this bread came from an oven not a bag. Fries were hand cut, as advertised, arriving hot and crispy with just the right dusting of salt -- a perfect match for the Reuben. This being Monday night, it was quiet on Colorado Blvd., and the restaurant had only a few people at dinner time. While this was a laid-back visit, I'm well aware the place can get busy and boisterous when people descend on their back-alley entrance, and it's hard to know which scenario would be better: the high energy pulse or the calm conversation. Best to come in multiple times for a proper scientific analysis (as well as several cold pints and a few very good meals).

When we walked in, there was a tall, bald male bartender and a blonde female bartender working--neither of whom I've seen here before. We ordered two drinks, but the service from the male bartender was inattentive from the start. At one point, my friend tried to get someone's attention to ask for a lime and wasn't acknowledged. She ended up grabbing a lime herself from the garnish tray--which I understand isn't ideal--but the response we got was completely out of line. The male bartender became immediately hostile and started aggressively cursing at my friend. When I calmly asked the female bartender if this was normal behavior, he inserted himself into the conversation and said, "she put her fucking hand in the fucking jar," in a very confrontational tone. I tried to de-escalate the situation and respectfully explained that there was no reason to speak to us that way, but he continued the hostility and ultimately told us to "get the fuck out." At that point, I paid for our drinks and we left. What made this especially disappointing is that this has never been our experience here before. We've always enjoyed this bar and have had positive interactions with the regular staff. If this had been my first visit, I would not come back. I understand that what my friend did wasn't appropriate, but it absolutely did not justify being yelled at and cursed out. I hope management addresses this, because this kind of behavior is not reflective of the bar I've come to know.
