I came the other night after a night on the town. I was hungry as usual. I was craving for some HOT Wings. Thank God this place was open until 2am. Upon arrival, we were the only people. We were rowdy group of people as we were Hanger. The staff here were friendly and inviting and fed us right away. We got some Buffalo Style Chicken Wings in a large (16 pieces) in flavors of Mild and Lemon Pepper, Large Onion Rings and Cheese Fries. Everything came out piping Hot and crispy. It was finger licking good kind of meal. This place has alcohol, wings and Tvs. What else can you ask for. Great place to come for a game or for late night cravings. I had a highly enjoyable experience here. I would definitely come here again. Yelper worthy place. Come check it out!!! read more

Been going to this spot for years, and the food is always excellent. THe wings are crispy and flavorful. My personal favorite is the lemon pepper wings. Such salty and crunchy flavors! I love the fries and the rice, always such good fillers. I recommend this spot for lunch and dinner. The service is beyond excellent. Such nice ladies that remember my order! One of the best spots in Old Town Pasadena. read more

Came here at 2pm and they didn't want to serve draft beer and cocktails to us? Unfortunately only had can beer . I was just tryna lunch out with my man it's 5 o'clock somewhere read more

Crispy and perfectly sauced wings. The curly fries were also amazing. Never tasted fries like them. Can't wait to come back.

We ordered around 3 pm today during Super bowl Sunday on the phone. The lady who took our order gave us major attitude. We asked her if she can call us 15 minutes before our order was ready. She said, verbatim, "yeah.... I'm not gonna be worrying about your order" Like wtf? So rude Then when we got our food we got the SADDEST wings we've ever seen. Every wing had literally a tiny bite. Never ever come here. They steal your money and give you major attitude. If you don't wanna work on Super bowl Sunday DONT WORK. read more

Hot Wings Cafe - Saddest lemon pepper wing I've ever seen - New American Near Me - Pasadena, California

Picked up some wings today for Super Bowl. I love them Lemon pepper wings. When I arrived to pick up my order, the line was fairly long however it moved rather quickly as they had a little system pot in place. My order was correct however, the wings seemed to be cooked well done. Some of the pieces were over cooked but all in all, the wings were good. read more

My husband and I were really craving some hot wings and we were in the area so we ordered takeout since it was cold out. The regular wings were dry and the curly fries were bland. The boneless wings were juicy and delicious though. What I also didn't like was that I specifically ordered Buffalo chips and then after I picked up didn't see any. I called back and they said that I never ordered it, which I did. read more

Been a longtime customer here. Stopped coming for a little while because I was not digging the quality or size of the wings. Was here a few days ago and wings were awesome. Salad was awesome. Great service. Hope quality of wings continues. Btw their Philly Cheese steak sandwich is also awesome. read more

This spot has definitely been my favorite since my high school days for some good ol' wings! When you step into the place, it definitely feels a bit outdated. I don't think they've changed much of their interior decor since I started going over 15 years ago. The walls are dirty, the posters are old, and the chalkboard messenger is wiped probably by someone who was playing around with it, but we're not here for the ambiance. We're here for the wings! The last few years, there's definitely been a rise in demand for Hot Wings, and I've tried them all, but really, this one hits home for me. The past few times I've gone, the restaurant has never been full. It's pretty easy to find a spot to sit, and the servers will then bring you their basic menu. I like to go for the wing special. It is 8 pieces of wings with curly fries. My go to is the extra crispy lemon pepper and hot (extra hot if I'm feeling risky that day). wings. For my fries, I'll also be sure to order cheese on top. The combination of the lemon pepper wings, hot wings, and cheese fries with a coke are just so heavenly. What tops it all off is the ranch that they serve. I'm not sure if it's homemade or what, but I can eat ranch all day if that was in my fridge! read more

I came here for the first time with two friends last week. It was a Thursday around 6 and there was only a few other people in the restaurant. We ordered boneless buffalo "wings" - mild, lemon pepper wings, regular buffalo wings, onion rings, and fried zucchini. We really enjoyed all of the food! The mild wings were perfect for someone who can't handle too much spice but enjoys the taste of buffalo sauce. The lemon pepper wings were also delicious! We all really enjoyed the onion rings and fried zucchini. For being fried, the zucchini were suprisingly light and fresh. Our server was kind and attentive! Another staff member made effort to put a basketball game on for one of my friends which was very kind. Overall, I'd be happy to go back and would reccomend. read more

Hot Wings are tiny and not worth the money. Who wants mini chicken wings, with hardly any meat on the bones? When I lived and worked in Pasadena, I loved this spot. I will still to Wing Stop or restaurants that sell hearty wings. read more

Went to old Pasadena on football Sunday hoping to go to Kings Row or Lucky Baldwins, but they were both completely packed so we walked around looking for somewhere else and came across this place. It was mostly empty but the staff were really nice and the food was surprisingly good! I got mild boneless wings and curly fries and they were delicious! My wife got the Caesar salad and really liked it too. Also the Diet Coke was really good. Recommended if you're looking for somewhere low-key with decent food to watch the game :) read more

Today I went to indulge in a memory way back from 2009 when I graduated from phs we used to come here to hang out but it has changed a lot and I wish I hadn't I should have went to TFK and got something healthier but instead I came here and got the overpriced wing combo. Sadly the wings were soggy hardly any crunch at all as if I didn't just call to place my order 7 mins on the way from walking down fair oaks, but what tipped my anxiety was the fries!! The cook gave me COLD OLD FRIES next to hot chicken they were horrible all end pieces no curly anything I was sooooo angry but whatever NEVER AGAIN!!! read more

This review is strictly for the 'boneless wings'. I'll keep it short and sweet. The wings are frozen-food-section, Tyson quality. They are that kind you can pick up from any supermarket. I paid $8.50 + tax and needless to say, this is horrendous. The owners should be ashamed for serving this 1 star for existing. 1 star for giving me an extra 'wing' = 2 stars total read more

Hot Wings Cafe - 6-piece 'boneless wings'. Laughable for $8.50 + tax - New American Near Me - Pasadena, California

Ah man it honestly pains me to give this place this review. My wife and I used to really love this place! We honestly thought they used to have some of the best wings in Pasadena and used to rave about it to everyone. Unfortunately the last couple times we've been here the wings have been extremely dry to the point where they are hard when you bite into them. You can tell that the flavor is still there, but they are just utterly unmoist and dry. Given the price and the quality of the food the last couple times unfortunately that's why I'm leaving the negative review. I'm hoping they pull things together, the remodel looks great, and I can't wait to change this review when things improve! read more

I have been coming here for over 15 years and I am never disappointed. Good service and amazing wings. The wings and not big but they pack a lot of flavor. The curly fries are also delicious. Get them well done. I only get the original hot but I'm happy with that flavor. @raulvsfood read more

Dam where can I begin, ordered the wings that were really dry, cold and the other third of the wings were scorching hot as if they were microwaved. We ordered the onion rings that were soggy and not crispy at all, that really was the worst onion rings in my 40 years of existence. Some of carrots were dry and rubbery . I ask how do you mess up carrots? The best thing from the night was the celery, the celery!!! disappointed. I usually don't review restaurants but this was beyond not leaving them the truth. I would really like my money back if possible. Go to Buffalo Wild Wings or Wing stop, don't waste your money read more

Hot Wings Cafe - Soggy onion rings where they belong, in the trash - New American Near Me - Pasadena, California

Decided to come here for lunch, I ordered a chicken club sandwich. Initially I ordered my food to go, but the day was nice out and decided to instead eat my sandwich at their outdoor seating area. I was approached by one of the waitress (in training) who said I couldn't sit there that it was only for customers, I told her I had purchased my food at that restaurant and said she knew and had already told the other waitress (trainer) that I was a paying customer. But the waitress (trainer) said because I ordered my sandwich "to go" I couldn't sit there. I had never experienced this at any other establishment, it was not busy, there was no one waiting to be seated. It was such a terrible and embarrassing experience. read more

The food was good but the workers were horrible and judgmental. Not sure of their names but the man had curly hair and a beard and the woman had brown hair tied up. They wouldnt stay out of our personal business. Not kid friendly. read more

Not a bad spot to grab a beer and wings. I like that the ceilings are super high, so that it doesn't feel like that small of a space. A few of us ordered 50 wings in two sauces (lemmon pepper and spicy bbq). Both sauces were decent, though nothing out of the norm (or different from others i've had at similar places). The staff was super friendly, though a little distracted considering there weren't many people there to begin with. Overall a decent wing place, but hard to compete against all of the other great food spots in Old Town Pasadena. Stay Cheerful ;) read more

The worst restaurant we've experienced in years. Whatever it is they attempted to serve us wasn't food. Every item was disgusting - we ended up returning everything and leaving. Here's what was wrong with the order - every single item was inedible: * Fries were not cooked fully, were soggy and cold. * Cheese on the fries tasted like stale Velveeta. * Grinder sandwich meat was old and disgusting. * Grilled cheese was barely grilled and was two pieces of bread soaked in butter with some unmelted cheese in-between. * Zucchini sticks were soggy and tasted raw. * Burger looked like it was cooked hours before with an attempt to heat it up immediately before serving. read more

This place has been my go-to for wings my whole life but it always ends up a solid three stars for me. Congratulations on the remodel - happy to see this place fresh and new. They have better wings than Wingstop in my opinion. They serve more than just wings which is cool for the times your friends wanna dine here but you're not in the mood for just wings. The food comes out better when dining AT the restaurant. Their curly fries are so fun and fresh at the restaurant but when taking them to-go they always end up stale after the ten minute drive back. The wings taste wonderful but they are on the dry end so I ask for more hot sauce on the side, which costs extra, but they only fill half of the dressing container =/ read more

This place Sucks!!! The manager screamed at me when I asked for money back. The wings where nothing but bones and dried chicken skin. I have never seen such small wings ever!!! I thought this was a joke !!! But the joke is the manager, he know nothing about food service or customer service!!! He kept screaming in his native language and then proceeded to hang up the phone , a real tough guy ! , we will see how tough he is when I go back to get my 60.00 dollars !!! Jerk!!!!!! read more

Ordered to go on Uber eats. First time trying this place out, I ordered a patty melt with cheese fries and an order of bbq wings. I wasn't expecting this place to be amazing but I was so confused and grossed out about this food. The fries were the number 1 disappointment. It looks like the fries were boiled and then put on a tray, slap on two pieces of cheese and nuked for a minutes. The fries tasted raw, it had absolutely no color to it. Are these even fried??? The shape of the fries are strange. The flavor was disgusting. Took a few bites of the stone cold fries, I saw it wasn't even cooked inside and was done with it. Patty melt was basic, and greasy. Also when you order a patty melt on the Uber eats app, you can't add the patty melt unless you choose a "add on" extra, like add bacon, onions or extra cheese. There was no option to add just as is. You HAVE to pay an addition. It is required. So I went for the cheapest of sautéed onions for +1.50, compared to the +3.35 for bacon?? That's crazy!! The bbq wings were cold, and soggy, and barely fried. The sauce tasted like a generic bbq sauce from a bottle. It was incredibly sweet, not tasty at all. I ended up throwing away most of the food, it was such a waste of money. I am still tripping out about the French fries. I expect the fries to be a little cold since I did get delivery, but for it to be raw!?!? That's ludicrous. First and last time. read more

Hot Wings Cafe - Tiny, dinky wings...expensive, underwhelming. - New American Near Me - Pasadena, California

Service was good. Food was ok.... We went here on a recent Saturday night. We seated ourselves at one of the middle tables as all the ones lining both sides of the restaurant were all taken. It took a little while for a server to recognize us and bring us some menus. They were a little busy in the restaurant. That was the only snag I thought service-wise. Our waitress was attentive. She asked how we were doing a few times after our food arrived and refilled our drinks in a timely manner. We ordered a large order of barbeque wings (16pcs) and another large order of half lemon pepper and the other half mild buffalo wings. We also ordered curly fries... The food arrived in about 10 minutes. It seemed to take a while longer but we were just hungry I guess. The wings were ok but they are kind of small in size. That is something I definitely noticed in comparison to other wing places. The flavor on the mild buffalo wings were good. It wasnt too spicy. For me it was just right. The lemon pepper was ok but I've definitely had better. I didnt have any of the bbq wings but my nephew devoured them so they must have been good. The curly fries were real good and salted just the right amount. read more

My family loves it here! We love the wings and the size is just perfect. I know a lot of the complaints is the size of the wings, but that's actually what I like! I don't like the giant chewy ones I've got in other places. The service is always great and fast. We always get the same girl and she's very friendly. Awesome wings good beer selection. 4 big screens for sports viewing. Recommend for small parties. Open late 11:00

They need to change the name to WACK WINGS! This place is trash, do not even dare come in here. These must've been game hen wings, they were literally an inch and half long. WTF?! One was almost two inches long, my perception was so skewed at this point I thought it came from a pterodactyl. All you taste is sauce. read more

Ordered thru Uber Eats. Some of the worst food I've ever had. Chicken was dry. So dry I wouldn't be surprised if it'd been sitting out all day. Coleslaw was lukewarm and made me dry heave after barely getting it in my mouth. Afraid of getting food poisoning from the bite I sadly swallowed. Fries super stale. Couldn't choke down a bite. I assume it's impossible but feels like we got a batch that was cooked this morning (got a night delivery) My stomach definitely isn't feeling good. read more

Avoid the lemon pepper. Tasted like lemon pledge on the wings. The chicken pieces were also very thin and dry. I was very upset with the quality of the food. The service experience was also pretty bad. We ordered our wings and the waitress messed up by bringing boneless instead of bone-in. When we asked her to correct the order, she was snarky but changed the plate. We waited around 40 minutes to start eating, definitely not coming back here. Wings aren't hard. Make them right or don't make them at all. read more

Been coming here for the last few years and I still think this place is underrated. The wings might be smaller in size compared to other wing spots but they make up for it in flavor. BBQ, Mild, Hot, and xtra hot., simple and I love it. The albino curly fries haven't a hint of color on them but they are crispy and thats about it. No salt no flavor so I had to drown in ketchup and ranch. The Mozzarella sticks were as good as they come. The tomato water pretending to be Marinara sauce could use a little love though. The place was empty so the service was great. I could see this place doing very well if they made a few tweaks, we are always looking for a spot that has sports (with Sound!) decent food and beer. Its pretty scarce to find a good spot and this place has tons of potential. Dodger season coming I want to see this place thrive! read more

The ORIGINAL hot wings! BEER, WINGS, LIVE SPORTS!!! Never lets me down! Ever! Parking can be tricky for this location! Either a block away or right in front if you're one of the CHOSEN ONES. Service here is always good enough to enjoy your meal, not once have I had a bad moment. Always show rescept and respect will be shown. PLUS MY WATERCUP IS ALWAYS FILLED, but that's probably due to the employees seeing me sweating my beard off. Ha! Now back to the wings! So bomb I tell yah! Gimme a large half hot and other half extra HOT! (Sometimes a small on the side if I got extra room) These are smaller wings, not the whoppers from other establishment. Either spice level isn't so bad! It's doable! My favorite is extra hot, it's really pungent and spicy. And the hot as regular as it gets. Best ranch in town too BEST!! Perfect balance! Extra veggies too please! That's always a plus. When you run out of wings you can the rest down! So good, my mouth is watering now thinking about this meal I've have uncountable times. Fair prices, good food, and not a lot of people always so wait time is minimal, you're good now time to finish all those wings! See yall soon! read more
