    Homemade Onion Rings
    Lori H.

I only had a takeout experience here, but it was pretty good. When I walked through the front door, I was directed to the back wall with the double windows to place to-go orders. Once I placed my order, it didn't take long for it to come out. Food: I had Homemade Onion Rings and 15-piece wings with Lemon Pepper, Medium, and Garlic Parmesan. The Onion Rings were thin-cut and lightly battered, but they still had a nice crunch to them, too. The wings were no frills or thrills, but they were classics, so it would be great if someone were craving wings like I was. My favorites were the Medium Buffalo flavor and Lemon Pepper. I liked the spicy and tangy flavors of the buffalo and the sharp tang from the lemon pepper, so those hit the spot. The garlic parmesan was more plain and less flavorful, so it was my least favorite. Overall, now that I have had the wings, I would go back to either more Wings or try the "N' More" part of the menu, lol. They have so many options, and they have Happy Hours. Another customer getting takeout told me their Margaritas were good, too.

Traditional sports bar with loud speakers on the tv, late night dj playing, and the best bar area to watch your favorite team. I loved the buffalo shrimp wrap and the curly fries. They have an option on the appetizers for you to pick two of the price of one! I recommend the fried pickles and the mushrooms! On Sundays they have an amazing happy hour! I enjoyed half prized appetizers and frozen margaritas bigger than my head! If you sit at the bar, ask for Mya, she's beautiful, attentive, friendly and awesome at making mixed drinks and shots! My favorite place to make new friends! You'll have a great time and your stomachs will be happy! And don't make the mistake to park where the towing signs are! There's plenty of parking, but the nearby establishments are quick to tow you if you park where you're not supposed to!

Our server was nice, but it took a really long time for our food to come out. The restaurant wasn't very busy, so I don't know what the hold up was. Then they brought me seasoned fries when I asked for them unseasoned. The chipotle honey mustard wings are good. The flavor is sweet with just a little spice. They only come with a couple of carrot sticks, so if you want fries, you have to order them separately. The curly fries were good, well cooked.

Received chicken tenders. But, i ordered wings.

Do not order from here unless you want something completely different from what you want! I place an order for take out for wings. But, when i picked it up, i guess they did not check the order before packing. I received chicken tender instead. I tried calling but, no one answer. Their answering machine line just went in circles. Very disappointed.

If I could give it more stars I would! Been coming here since I was little and NO other place beats them. I could probably eat this everyday I love their drinks and wings my whole family is a big fan

The food literally has no seasoning or flavor to it and it's over cooked. It's like they just deep fried everything but didn't use salt, pepper, or any other spices. Bland!

This is $5.67!? Keep in mind they only have 1 option for fries so this isn't a " small".

Never Uber Eats, they over charge and don't even put the right amount of food. They take over an hour to prepare just for the food to be cold. I was charged $5.67 for this amount of fries. Keep in mind there are only 1 option for " crinkle cut fries" so this isn't a "small".

The email adress provided is not active.

Be advised this review was blocked and hidden on google. UPDATE [12/9/2025]: The owner responded below asking me to contact them to resolve this. Do not be fooled- this is a stall tactic, and for show. Notice how the responses are the same for the previous negative reviews. According to their website this is the correct email address, (info@wingsnmore-austin.com) I attempted to email the address they provided immediately, but it was inactive and bounced. I then called the restaurant and was given the runaround by a Manager who provided this address, (BrianMnonaco@gmail.com), Ive confirmed the spelling with her multiple times. I was told the General Manager, Brian Monaco was unavailable. I've sent my response to four separate email addresses (including the one from their website and the one the manager finally gave me). It has been several business days, and I have been completely ignored. It is clear their reply below is just a generic copy-paste to make themselves look good to future customers. They have no intention of addressing the poor service. [Initial Review] Cynthia O was a terrible waiter, she did not deserve the 20% tip that they automatically added. She had a bland attitude, barely visted the table, messed up orders, and was slow. And this was for a birthday party with family. I understand if it's a big party, it can take time to serve is all. However, they were dead slow with three other customers. There are three waitresses present with the hostess and they rarely left their booth while on their phone. So you tell me if there is any incentive to even do the basics when it comes to service. Since the tip is already included there was obviously no need to serve adequately, and it showed tonight unfortunately. Food took forever to get here, the food was cold by the time it hit the table. The wings were dry. We had to ask multiple times for our sides, and drinks. By the time we got our side which was supposed to be large fries, it was cold and not even a filling the bowl. The photo attached is how we got the fries. The waiters are on their phone and talking behind the bar with multiple drinks waiting at the counter. Our party had to go to the bar multiple times to the bar to get our drinks since we were sitting there, watching them kick it. This was beyond infuriating. Also they didn't have any slush drinks and no ketchup...seriously no ketchup, so we ate dry and cold fries. Also someone wanted to place a to go order, but she had to place it ONLINE since the waiter was nowhere to be found. If you're planning to go here. Don't.

The food was great, but I have to give a shout out to Iliana. I rolled in there with a bunch of firefighters and she remembered everybody's orders and got them exactly right. She didn't even give us a hard time when we split the checks! She's the best.

    The best fried pickles!

They were perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of vinegar and cooked to that ideal tender texture without being mushy. The fried chicken and catfish were outstanding. Both were well seasoned, incredibly crispy, and tasted like they were fried in fresh grease. Every bite was hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The baked macaroni and cheese was good, but it leaned a little more toward a Velveeta-style cheese sauce than my personal preference. Still a solid 9/10. I also ordered the Peach Passion Fruit Hennessy margarita, and it was superb. Smooth, flavorful, and easily one of the highlights of the meal. The staff was friendly and welcoming, the prices were very reasonable, and the portions were generous. If you're looking for authentic soul food in Austin, The Rolling Rooster is absolutely worth the stop. I'll definitely be back.

The young lady at the register left quickly when we approached, and when I asked if we could dine in, she told us there was no room. That felt unusual, but we decided to order takeout. While placing the order, she mentioned there were plumbing issues and something was overflowing, which raised another concern about the cleanliness of the environment. She also seemed anxious and unprofessional during the interaction. We were told the food would take about 15 minutes, but it ended up being closer to 30-45 minutes. Unfortunately, the food did not meet our expectations, especially for the price. The oxtails, rice, greens, and macaroni and cheese were around $36. The okra looked like it had been refried, and the chicken wings tasted as though they were cooked in old grease. The greens had an unusual flavor, and the macaroni and cheese did not taste like traditional mac and cheese. The oxtails were messy but not tender. Based on the lack of professionalism, the long wait, and the overall quality of the food, I do not plan to return.

Only complaint is we saw they have .99c wings on Tuesdays, it says limit 10, which was perfect for the girls and I since we can't eat more than 6. The waiter said it's a misprint and supposed to say 10 minimum. That was frustrating and sad because we would go every Tuesday if we could order less, 10 is way too much for all 3 of us and all 3 like different flavors so sharing won't work either. Love the hand cleaning station, although it looks like it could use a cleaning itself lol. But 5 stars because yesssss, the food and the service are so good. Wait one more complaint, sorry! The website paints a picture of a beach‑side getaway: easygoing, flavorful, relaxed. That's exactly why our visit felt so mismatched. My partner and I ordered the Perfect Storm sampler and 10 bone‑in wings, split between Garlic Ginger and Garlic Parm. The wings came mixed with flats and drums, which was fine, but both flavors were so greasy that we had to wipe them down before eating. And not just a little sheen -- I mean the kind of oiliness that dulls the seasoning and clings to your fingers. The Garlic Ginger had a nice aromatic profile underneath, but the fat muted it. The Garlic Parm leaned heavy, with the grease overshadowing any sharpness from the garlic or cheese. The sampler didn't fare much better. The fries were soggy and limp, the kind of texture that tells you the oil temperature dropped or the batch sat too long. The shrimp and mozzarella were edible, but lacked crispness -- everything felt weighed down instead of bright or crunchy. When fried food loses its structure, it loses its appeal, and that's exactly what happened here. From a food‑critic standpoint, the issue wasn't flavor -- it was technique. Grease is a symptom. It usually means the oil wasn't hot enough, the baskets were overloaded, or the fry time wasn't adjusted. When the oil temp drops, moisture stays trapped inside the food, and instead of crisping, it absorbs the fat. That's how you end up with wings that feel slick instead of snappy and fries that collapse under their own weight. And that's where the disconnect with the branding hits hardest. The website promises "hot and crispy wings with a 100% chance of cold, frothy beers," "jumbo‑sized wings," and "an escape from the ordinary." What we received felt more like a kitchen struggling to keep up -- heavy food, tired textures, and none of the crispness that defines good fried comfort food. The frustrating part is that the service was excellent. Our server was warm, attentive, and genuinely kind -- the kind of person who makes you feel taken care of before the food even arrives. But the kitchen execution didn't rise to meet that level. When the service is top‑tier and the food feels like an afterthought, the imbalance becomes impossible to ignore. Great people, but the food didn't match the promise or the care they put into the experience. We wouldn't return.
