I thought I could get 15% off at the food truck. Your emoloyee said no. I asked her how much lobster do you get in the lobster bisque She said one ounce of lobster is in a 32 ounce (one 32 ounce container costs $35) before taxes. I said thank you and left without purchasing anything. She told me if I wanted more lobster it would be $8. I then drove 25 miles home.

The food was so spicy it burned my tongue and lips. I called them and was told I could come back and place and pay for another full order. I have attached picture so you could see the full order is still here. I could not see myself having to go and pay over $30 again with the possibility that I would not be able the eat the second order.

Their lobster bisk was out of the world, the chunks of lobster were perfection and served at the perfect temp. Lobster rolls are a little small but heaven sent for sure!!! Love that they gave our kids goldfish and crayons along with the playground to keep them entertained so we could actually talk. Service has always been good, nothing incredible but good and reliable, that's all I can ask for. Sundays there is a cute little farmers market out front too that we like to walk thru. The one thing that keeps us from frequenting more often is the price for us to eat there as a family. It was $242 before tip this last time for what feels like a light lunch. I understand these are quality and luxury ingredients just hard to justify when the lobster roll isn't the size of my head like in Boston. But still we love it here and will continue to be back. 4 stars because we love it but portions for price could be better imo.

Springhill feels like a restaurant that's been coasting on its reputation for a long time…read more The best thing I can say is that the fryer oil appeared clean. The catfish and fried items weren't greasy, rancid, or carrying that old-oil taste that ruins a meal. For a place centered around fried food, that's important. Beyond that, the experience was pretty underwhelming. The food was bland and forgettable, cafeteria-quality at best. The salad bar was sparse with limited choices, and nearly everything being served on Styrofoam makes the entire place feel cheap and dated. Service was adequate but nothing memorable. Nobody was rude, but there wasn't much attention to detail or hospitality either. What really stood out was the condition of the facility. The restroom looked neglected, and the sink was partially detached from the wall. When customers see maintenance issues that obvious, it raises questions about the overall upkeep of the restaurant. I don't expect fine dining from a catfish buffet, but I do expect decent food, a clean facility, and some pride in presentation. Aside from the fryer oil being in good shape, there wasn't much here that would make me want to return. Pros: Clean-tasting fryer oil, food served hot. Cons: Bland food, limited salad bar, heavy use of Styrofoam, mediocre service, facility needs maintenance.

After seeing this place on social media I was excited to try it. We ordered a wing plate with two sides, red beans and rice and collard greens. The food came out pretty quickly and smelled amazing. I quickly noticed that the to-go box was heavy and hot which are both two great signs in my book. The wings were the star of the show for me, they were perfectly cooked with just the right amount of seasoning and crisp to leave me happy and satisfied. The read beans and rice and collard greens were flavor filled with plenty of turkey meat cooked in with both. I hope to try the catfish and mac next time I stop by! I should also add that the service was good, the two ladies working were friendly and patient with us as we placed our order. They also added a cute decorative napkin and a fork in our to go bag which I appreciated.

Server was nice to share how backed up the restaurant was. I ordered the fried shrimp with flounder combo. I love how the fries have that beer batter exterior so it's extra crispy. The shrimp was great plum and juicy. I felt like the batter was a little too thick and the batter didn't have any flavor in it. The flounder was good, but the fish was dry. I wish for the price point. The fish was a little thick thicker in meat. It was slightly sweet white meat so that was good. The chicken wings honestly are really good. I was surprised how crispy and juicy the wings were. I love the Cajun flavor along with the lemon pepper. You can really taste both seasonings. They have the chicken wing fried game down very surprised how good the wings were, crispy skin and juicy white meat. The oysters were great, big sized oysters, no sand or shell chips. Nice sweet flavors from the oyster meat. Clean tasting, a little briny, good seafood taste. Alll the side dipping sauces were good, cocktail, ranch, etc. beers were good too. Reasonably priced.

Sigh... Surfing Crab, we need to have a little talk…read more After a long night of work, my fiancé and I just wanted a nice little Friday night snack. Nothing fancy, just some good seafood to end the night. I called in my order around 9:00 PM and ordered Combo #2, which comes with 2 snow crab clusters. We chose green mussels and shrimp with medium sauce, plus I ordered an extra side of sausage when I arrived. I got there around 9:24 PM, and there was already a line, so I honestly assumed my food probably wouldn't be ready yet. Welp... SURPRISE! My food was already sitting on the counter when I arrived. Now, I'm wondering... how long had my $56 seafood dinner been sitting there before I got there? Because by the time I got home and opened those bags, pretty much everything was COLD. And then came the real plot twist... I opened the bag expecting saucy, seasoned seafood, and instead I got DRY SEAFOOD. The sausage had more sauce on it than the entire bag of crab legs and mussels! I'm still trying to figure out how the sauce was supposed to work because the crab legs were dry, the mussels were dry, and basically all the meat was dry. The crab legs had seasoning sitting mostly on top, but there was no sauce throughout. The mussels? Just sitting there dry as the Sahara. The ONLY thing that was actually hot was the extra sausage I ordered when I got there My fiancé didn't even eat. And THAT made me even more irritated because this was supposed to be our little Friday night treat after a long night of work. Instead, I'm sitting there looking at $56 worth of cold, dry seafood like... surely somebody is playing in my face. Surfing Crab, I'm mad. I'm mad that we paid that much money. I'm mad that the food was cold. I'm mad that the seafood was dry. And most importantly, I'm mad my fiancé didn't even get to enjoy his food! For $56, I need more than a bag of seafood that looks like it has been waiting on somebody since the dinner shift started. Surfing Crab Round Rock, y'all are going to have to do better. Because when I order seafood with sauce, I expect the seafood to actually meet the sauce. Not the sausage to be swimming while the crab legs are over there fighting for moisture. Friday night: RUINED. Fiancé: DIDN'T EAT. Wallet: $56 LIGHTER. Me: MAD. I really hope this was just an off night because I wanted to like this place. But based on this experience... Surfing Crab, baby, we need to do better. At least shake the bag to get sauce on everything is that hard for a girl to ask for!!

The restaurant is on the first floor, almost directly below the check in desk in the lobby. Take the elevator or stairs down a level to access the breakfast buffet. Since the buffet gets busy on the weekends, they will escort you to a table. We sat with a colleague and friend who presented the most amazing lectures at the conference. The buffet itself has a lot of classic and kid friendly foods. So many stations. Cereals. Cut up fruits. Pastries and muffins. Corn. Wedge potatoes. Omelettes. The cook at the Bennie station was so nice. When I asked for a Bennie with no meat, she suggested that I grab some smoked salmon from another station to make a salmon Benedict. My favorite...and what I was planning to do once she gave me my meatless Benedict. So thoughtful. Other yummy options at the buffet included the bread pudding and the cheese grits. So many carbs!! The station with smoothies and fruit juices was a very good option. The pinacolada smoothies and the green juice blends were so yummy. Although I didn't use it, the hot sauce bar was so interesting. So many hot sauces. From mild to hot, hot, hot. Check out the Scoville Scale to gauge if you can handle the heat. A nice place for brunch during an annual conference at Kalahari Resorts in Round Rock.
