Another amazing stop at Garbo's. I ordered the seasonal lobster roll - Hatch Chili Lobster Roll…read more Simply fabulous fusion of creamy hatch chili butter and succulent lobster. The salad with champagne vinaigrette was fresh and fantastic. Had to save room for the number 1 of all time key lime pie. As usual the service was 5 stars. Barkley is the role model of an efficient, friendly and caring waitress. Already planning my next trip to Garbo's!

I know last time I got the clam chowder but hey, it was 102° outside! One thing that never ceases to amaze me is the cleanliness of the restaurant. It's wasn't too busy but the music was on the loud side. Maybe a touch lower please? The burrito was really nice. I thought that maybe my Mahi Mahi would be a little thicker? The fish seemed slim in comparison to the whole of the "Maines" entree. Jalapeño slices accompanied for some pizzazz. The sauce was flavorful and left no shortage of drips. I chose the side of fries. Perfectly made and absolutely screams fresh cut & fried. There's only one problem with them. They tasted fishy. That's because they fry them in the same fryer as the fish is fried. Not my kind of expectation with perfectly golden crisps. I would advise using a stand alone fryer for potatoes only please. Knox my server was very kind and hospitable & we enjoyed talking about the best hot sauce in the world which is found here, Belize's Marie Sharp's. That's a real winner to accompany your meal. Garbo's is classy but to get lobster which is what they're known for, you're going to have to pay for it. It was unfortunately a higher ticket item than I was willing to go for. Definitely improved in value from last time, thank you Garbo's. It's a nice place to dine & I hope to continue getting a superb value when I'm able to visit there again.

I had to get in some cajon food in this town…read more this restaurant is very close to my hotel and I have been eyeing it ever since I got here. finally, checked it out a couple days ago. i order the catfish gumbo which comes with 2 sides. I got beans with rice and the veggie of the day, also got a shiner bock beer for 5 bucks. total with tip was ~33 i think i gave 5bucks tip the fish gumbo was really good. i also really like the beans with rice. it has a slightly different flavor profile but also very good. i think this place is a hidden gem.... good portions, decent price, and easy parking, had to figure out another P for a triple P. i think this was better than when I got rip off on bourbon street, yrs back. that was straight up super expensive double charge the tourist stuff...

We tried to go to happy hour with my partner's parents, but that was only available in the bar area. Given they have some health problems to consider, we could not move over and hover over teeny tables to have dinner so had to handle full price. At full price, I'd give it a solid 3.5. Bumped to a 4 because this is hard to find around here. We got: - shrimp yoli (if you only order one dish, get one with this SAUCE. It's to die for. The shrimp had too much seasoning that it was a little choke worthy and I NEVER complain about flavor. Just lighten up a little!) - escargot (the butter was broken.. so it was kinda rough) -catfish gumbo (solid portion) -redfish add lump crab (while we enjoyed this, it was pricy for what it was) -shrimp and crawfish pasta (good) -orange crème brûlée (light.. not my fav crème brûlée ever but fun to try) - chocolate cake brownie with ice cream

The process was a bit confusing to us newbies but we had a Korean friend with us who helped us navigate as well as explain things for us to some of the waitstaff who spoke better Korean than English. I wanted to try everything, but they ask you only get what you can eat since it's an All You Can Eat situation. You can't take any leftovers. We ordered a couple of bottles of sake and some soujou. One was too sweet so we traded an unopened one for a less sweet one. We all tried the meats, seafoods, veggies and had different broths for the hot pot. They have a nice dessert station too. They refill your broth upon request. I look forward to coming back again soon and trying more things!

I was honestly surprised it wasn't crowded when we went on a Sunday around 6pm. The only thing you would really order with the server is your hotpot soup base and drinks. Everything else including the appetizers is self serve. I liked how everything is nicely organized and labeled. I was also surprised by how clean the staff kept the self serve area. For the food, I went with the miso soup base which was nice and light, exactly what I was hoping for. They have a great selection of ingredients at food stations. You can best believe I added a ton of lotus root to my hot pot! I'm glad the banchan dishes were self serve too because I always ask the server for multiple rounds of it at other Korean restaurants. For the meats, there is a marinated meats section and a frozen meats section, both with plenty of options. I do want to also highlight the sauce station. It was honestly sauce heaven for my husband with so many different sauces and garnishes. He loves making his own sauce and was able to experiment with a variety of combos. Overall, this was a great experience and we will definitely return in the future.
