They have about 6 large tables that fit I would say 5 comfortably maybe 6 Now the food the menu is very small which I love because it shows me that they take pride in the few dishes they do make. We ended up getting the bistec tacos, a pastor taco and the queso enchiladas. It took a min because everything is made to order, but DANG I would have waited longer. The meat was so juicy too, and was perfect with the hot cheese. Only thing is I think they forgot to bring out the birria sauce. When my taco was dropped off, my server told me "un momento" and mimed a little dipping container, but she never came back with it. But the taco was juicy enough without it and I ate the taco pretty soon after. The carnitas was good, but not necessarily my favorite. I feel like it wasn't as moist as I was expecting. But the flavors were all there and so good! I also love all the extras they give you, like lime, cucumbers, radish, salsa, etc.

The cheese enchiladas (get the regular dinner!), crispy tacos, queso, and just about everything on the menu are excellent. We used to live in central Austin, but now we happily drive from Cedar Park because this is our place. What truly sets Maudie's North Lamar apart, though, is the people. The staff, especially Mr. Emilio, genuinely care about their customers and provide exceptional service. We've practically raised our kids at Maudie's. Emilio went from seeing them in high chairs to welcoming them home from college with the same warm smile and excitement. Seeing him with our kids again today was a special reminder of why we keep coming back. Other restaurants could learn a lot from Emilio and the entire team at Maudie's North Lamar. I purchased the three items pictured below for $8.50 and was very pleased with how they tasted. The mulita was crunchy with lots of cheesy fajita flavor and the chorizo taco was exceptional.
