I have been to this restaurant several times and generally it's a decent experience however yesterday I went with a group to celebrate a friends birthday. I am celiac and I informed the waitress (she was great by the way) that my fiancé and I would be splitting some wings but we needed my 5 on a separate plate since his wings will be in a sauce that's not gluten free, sounds simple enough right?! Apparently not... She comes out to inform me that their kitchen won't put my 5 wings on a separate plate without changing it to a separate order - so they wanted to upsell us to charge for my wings separately from the rest of them because of AJ ALLERGY/Medical necessity.. The manager then said well we can keep it at the discounted rate if we can keep them all on the same plate and we'll just make sure his sauces don't touch your wings.... Now, I don't know about y'all but that logic still does not track for me.. how can you keep sauce from getting to my wings on the same plate?! So after I asked her if she realizes how ridiculous this sounds and that it's crazy they're trying to change the price to separate the dish for this purpose, she goes well actually we have the 10 wing plate on special today so at the end of the day it'll all come out to the same price.. My fiancé tried to show her some grace and tells me she probably just doesn't understand what celiac is -- and I understand that a lot of people do not however if you are in the food industry and the manager of said restaurant no less you should absolutely educate yourself and so you can understand that the suggestion of "we'll just make sure his sauces on his wings don't touch yours" and if that's not okay, we'll up charge you for a separate plate are the most absurd ideas and suggestions I have heard to date. read more

There's tons of wing places in Austin, and when you look at round rock, you name it Pluckers, Wingstop, Anchor Bar, and Hurriances can keep up with the masses. What sets the food apart is how fresh everything is. The shrimp was plum and juicy, crispy exterior, and really nice spicy dynamite sauce on the outside. Very nice snap and crunch. I didn't order more wings like I should have, I tried the moco loco wing flavor, very nice coconut, tangy, sweet flavor. One of the nicest sauces I've tried in a while. I'm definitely going to switch up my wing selection from the other restaurants because Hurricanes has a big selection from wet to dry flavors. I'm going to go with a three here. They do have pretty good wings, but I ordered Grilled shrimp and corn and Broccoli. The grilled shrimp had a not grilled shrimp taste. That's their version. I am at a loss as to why many restaurants feel like they should sprinkle parmigiana cheese on everything. Broccoli doesn't taste good served like that. The shrimp had it too. I probably didn't read close enough, but the corn wasn't on a cob. It the bowl though the put a sauce that tasted great. Try it out though just for the wings. read more

When I don't make them myself this is my go to wing place! Their menu is quite large. They have a big selection besides wings like their burgers, their cheese sticks, the jalapeño bacon fries, the Brussel sprouts, wraps, chicken tenders, fried pickles, tacos, shrimp, fish, bowls, steak Philly, steak sandwich, quesadillas, etc, and it has all been pretty good, but I keep going back for the wings! They have about 20 different flavors of wings from sweet to savory to mango to fiery and everything in between. There is truly a sauce or rub for anyone! Since covid has come about we have taken to getting delivery through Yelp orders and they have always been on time or early. I will say that the fries do not travel as well... they are way better fresh on location, but they are not bad... just better when you get them there. On location they have a full bar which is always a great addition to wings... I miss the location with its patio, big tvs, and good food but luckily I can still get the food through delivery! read more

We order chips and guacamole, hamburgers, wings, calamari and beef steak, the calamari was ok a bit dry and to my taste a bit over cooked. The guacamole was not good at all and had to add my touch to it for a better taste. We also ordered the hottest wings and I can barely taste the spicy on them. My churrasco steak was tender with good flavor, the steamed broccoli with butter was good too, but my rice...had no flavor at all; had to add salsa to it for flavor. I stopped here with my family while on vacation in the Round Rock / Pflugerville area. I ordered the lunch boneless wing special with a side of garlic parm broccoli. I ordered 2 sauces on the side: secret weapon and garlic ginger. Out of the two Garlic Ginger was my favorite. I would definitely return and maybe order bone in with the garlic ginger. The service received was quick even with our waitress training someone new. There were many TV's on to spark table conversation while waiting and eating. read more

Memorial day weekend service dog and handler denied service. I have been to the Round Rock location several times without a problem. Today myself and a friend tried to get a seat. It was not busy at all. We were told the only place we could be seated was outside on the patio in 95° heat. My dog was in her Vest and boots, so there was no mistaking her for a pet. I am handicapped and do not do well with heat. Never have I been told at this location that my choices were only the outside patio or to leave. This is against Ada access laws. I am extremely disappointed with my treatment. I really expected better, especially on Memorial Day. read more

My coworker and I were hungry on a cold, rainy day so we decided to come here since it's been a while since we have dined here. I've had their wings, sandwich and fish here before. Everything I had wasn't bad so it was time to try something new. Parking was easy! We were seated immediately! The server was awesome. I decided to order from the lunch menu. I went with the Cabo chicken and avocado wrap with a side of garlic Parmesan. My coworker ordered from the local favorites section of the menu. The buffalo chicken dip is an appetizer so the server let her know that. My food didn't take that long to come out. The wrap was ok. I'm not sure if the Sriracha buttermilk dressing just ended up at the bottom of the wrap, but it didn't have as much flavor as I expected. I asked for sriracha so I could dip it with my wrap. The garlic Parmesan broccoli was good. I wish I had a big bowl of it. Yum! I tasted my coworker's garlic parm fries and they were good. My only complaint is that they gave me so much celery (see attached), I had to walk down to the lobby of the hotel I'm staying at and ask for medical assistance from sheer celery overload. So far I've always had a positive experience. Their wings and rings are awesome, the Trifecta rub (lime, Cajun, mesquite) is my favorite. They have a decent very cold draft beer selection, and if you like Lone Star or Pabst Blue Ribbon (PBR) is like $2 or $3 a pint. The calamari and fried pickles were good which is why I gave them two stars for the food. The service was ok. The hostess seemed to like her job but you could tell that the server wasn't really thrilled where his life was at in that very moment. It wasn't the worst service I've ever had but it wasn't great either. Two stars for that. The atmosphere was cool. It was kinda like an ocean side sports bar but very family friendly. We ordered our drinks, a diet Dr Pepper and blue moon. The diet Dr Pepper tasted different here than were used to but the beer tasted good. We then ordered an appetizer of fried pickles to start. The fried pickles were 3 stars, about what you would expect from a wings bar. We then ordered our meal. I ordered the yuengling beer battered fish and chips and my girlfriend ordered the chicken tenders and a side salad. The fish was slightly over fried. The breading was hard and dry but the fish was good. My girlfriends salad was forgotten and we had to ask about it after we received the rest of our food. We also ordered a blue cheese dipping sauce which also didn't come out until we asked. The reason for a poor review was how unaware the staff here was. We regularly had servers walk past our empty trays and trash and didn't bother to pick it up. Our order was incomplete a few different times. The cleanliness of the table and restaurant was sticky and uninviting. I would say if you just want to go anywhere and sit right away to order wings for a football game and you don't care about the food or experience then this is a good place. It'll get the job done. But if you want quality food and good service this isn't the place. I would recommend waiting the extra 30 minutes for pluckers. read more
