We'd heard so much and were really excited about this. I don't know whether or not the burgers taste just like they did 30 years ago like everyone says, but they don't taste good. We ordered medium rare and they were way well done and dry. The patties are way too big to be that dry and unseasoned. Fries were greasy. I have called three times to find out if I could bring in a nice bottle of wine to go with their hamburgers. Each time I was told to give them my name and phone number and the owner would call me back. I never got a phone call back. This tells me that follow through is not important and that they already have enough business. Went to Wingfield's for a huge burger. What I received was an ok and poor customer service. We walked in and no one had mask on, the place was empty and everyone just looked at us but did not provide assistance. Best burger I've ever had, if not, in my top 2. You taste great-quality meat, and not the fat and definitely not greasy. The kid in the blue shirt gave me an attitude when he had my order in his hand, and wouldn't ask me what number I was. I even asked him more than once what order it was and he didn't respond. Idk if it was because I had a mask on, or it was my first time there (earn my stripes?), but I only hope that I wasn't treated like that because of my color. BEST BURGER IN DALLAS!! I cannot believe I have gone this long without having tried this little hole in the wall, hidden gem. They only have burgers in the menu. The single patty is HUGE. They are seasoned so perfectly. They have NO seating and it's very very very tiny inside, so you order to go. I went on a Friday during the day, around 1pm and there was no wait to order. Our order took less than 10 minutes to come out. The parking lot is small but since there weren't many people there when we arrived we didn't have a problem with parking. I ordered us both the burger and fry combo, and it was the best burger I've had in a while. You can tell that the meat made to make the burgers is very fresh, and the bread and condiments are fresh as well. I was so excited to try this place. Everyone raves about it at work. I read the reviews and everyone raved about it there. I placed the order through grub hub and went to pick it up. It was a 40 minute wait (+/- a few minutes). I didn't get the notification that it was ready for pick up, but when I walked in the order was sitting on the counter. It smelled like raw sewage inside the building. There were flies buzzing about in the kitchen. The young man in the kitchen was not wearing gloves nor a hairnet. As well, it was hot and everything was covered in grease and dust. Some of the best hole in wall places aren't the cleanest, so this wasn't necessarily the issue. The fries were soggy! Covered in grease. Limp. Cold. I can not fathom how they thought that was an appropriate thing to serve. The burger was not fresh, at all. This business has been around for decades, my mother and aunt told me stories about how the patties were about 3 inches thick and they would cut them into 4s just to eat one slice. True to the stories their burgers are now about 2 inches thick. Serving sizes are amazing and you definitely get your money worth. The taste is great, it's pure beef without the big company feel or taste of a franchise location. With the mom and pop feel, the employees here love their job and the city, and it shows from the way they act towards customers. Recently they upgraded to card readers so they DO accept cards now! As with all things the negatives are not enough to deter the true yelpers. Time has stayed still at Wingfields but the area around it hasn't. It's nestled on Beckley and EXTREMELY busy street. So backing out is literally risking life and limb and your juicy burger. Blind spots and backing into a busy street to get out alive with your reward may scare some. Parking is also small for this location so often times, going in could mean staying because another patron has blocked you in to avoid getting hit. Other times, there is no parking so early come early park, early blocked in, late leaving. Inside the building there is minimal standing space, so busy days people are forced to stand outside. Health wise... Look it's burgers they're greasy and delicious, if you're a health nut, this probably isn't for you.... In summary, if you want to eat one time a year and be full for 5 more years, buy one of these burgers and you'll be full forever, times infinity! read more

Just picked up lunch and it was to die for. I travel alot for work and I must say this was definitely a burger I will never forget. I'm sure I will be back since I'm in town working.
