My daughter, a family friend decided to drive across town to try Wingfield's. She and I split a double cheeseburger. She thought I wanted a double when she overheard me describing one to our friend. Damn Good Hamburgers, if you want a good hamburger, go to this place. The hamburgers are big, i mean the big two handed fellows, you will definitely love the burgers. The French Fries however are not the greatest. Frying French fries in Bacon Grease, not a good choice. It is bad when you get a hamburger from there, and have to go around the corner to Williams Chicken to get the fries, but who goes their for the fries anyway, but they should be good also. I came here yesterday and was first in line. Glad I went when I did because the line stacked up pretty quick. Very friendly service. The food is super filling I ate half for lunch and ate the other half for dinner. It's made hot and fresh to eat and the patties are THICK, a lil dry but it's well done. I know I'm late to try out this Wingfield's Burgers.. I came across them on social media, so i decided to give them a try. This place is what you might call a hole in the wall type of place. I ordered myself a Bacon cheeseburger with French fries. Right of the bay after opening the burner I was shocked at the size of that patty. The meat has some great flavor but just a bit over cooked for my taste. The fries are not bad also, the seasoning they put on them just gives it a great taste. I have heard so many great things about this place and finally had the chance to check it out for myself. When placing my order for me and my partner, we were met with a very rude team member who seemed to be upset she was working that day. It was our first time at the establishment and therefore we asked simple questions ie. how big is the burger typically? what brand of lemonade is the lemonade etc. The worker had very short and had agitated responses when she did speak. Some questions were completely ignored. To top it off when it was time for our lemonades, there was no more ice in the machine, She didn't seem to care nor gave us a response on what kind of lemonade it was. We had to go down the street to 711 to get ice for .75 a cup. I'm not upset, but the experience we had was definetley not stellar. On the flip side the worker who made our food was the opposite, a light skinned woman with freckles made our food with the amount of season I would put on my own burgers at home. The flavor of the burger itself was really good. However, the burger texture was as if the patties were boiled and not cooked on the flat top. The fries were really fresh and seasoned well. To simply put it, this burger wasn't for me. It was a hunk of meat put on a bun. It was as if your 8 year old wanted to make hamburger's for the family. For starters, I placed my order at 5:30, I didn't receive my food til 7-7:10. I placed my order through Yelp and arrived to pick my food up about 35-40 minutes later. Once inside I was told online ordering was not available so they had to take my order inside....okay? The lady at the counter said "oh that must be the grub hub order that's calling, yeah the tablet isn't working, sorry." If online ordering is not available then why is it an option or why is grub hub/yelp not notified to cancel orders? Okay, that's fine too lol.
