Chicken strip basket w/ Garlic Parm seasoning!
    Izzie P.

A bit of a drive from Dallas but SO worth it! The chicken tender basket was to die for, crispy outside with juicy chicken inside. Fries were good and could've used a bit more seasoning but other than that the meal was perfect. Staff was supper nice and made the food fast! No dine in, just order and go!

This is the old Nana B.'s spot but same people and great food. Their soul food is not extra salty or fatty. Down home country food with reasonable prices.

Amazing food & service! This spot is the real deal. The food was very well-seasoned, oxtails were tender. Second visit: YES!!!!

Used via the 2Good2Go App. Suprise meal for $10 included mashed potatoes with meat gravy, chicken tetrazzini, backed chicken with onion, bell pepper, and tomato topping with cornbread. All tasted very good and looking forward toward the next meal.

Oxtail, comes with rice, Mac&Cheese, greens, cabbage, yams,

We came here on a whim. A last-minute brunch decision. Nothing planned. No expectations. And what…read morefollowed was a core memory in three courses and a complimentary Bloody Mary shot accompanied by the cutest green olive. The moment we walked in, it felt like home, but not in the "kick off your shoes" way. No, this was the "you're safe here, baby" kind of home. The vibe? Cozy. Elevated. Like Restoration Hardware met someone emotionally stable. Elliott was our server and an absolute delight. Joseph was the manager, casually spreading joy like Oprah with a tray of Bloody Mary shots. Amber... now let me pause here, because this woman deserves a paragraph of her own. Amber isn't just a GM. She's the kind of soul you meet once and never forget. When I asked for her to come to our table just to pay her a compliment, we both practically teared up. She received it with open arms, no ego, no deflection, just pure, gracious presence. I was mid-sentence and suddenly I had that Creed song stuck in my head. You know the one. "With arms wide open..." That's the kind of energy she brought to the entire restaurant. Amber made every person in that room feel like they mattered. Not because it's her job, but because it's who she is. She's fresh off earning her master's in hospitality, and if that degree came with a crown, she's wearing it. The Porch doesn't just run smoothly. It runs on Amber energy. But let's talk about the moment I saw God. Cornbread Eggs Benedict: Not crab. Not salmon. Corn. Bread. And not just any cornbread. The softest, fluffiest, most cuttable cloud of golden glory I've ever had the pleasure of annihilating with a fork. A fork, not a steak knife. Do you understand how rare that is? Normally I'm out here sawing through an English muffin like I'm in a lumberjack competition. This? Melted like butter. Tasted like a hug. 12/10. Incredible. And then, as if the eggs benny enlightenment wasn't enough, Joseph reappears with a tray of free Bloody Mary shots for the entire restaurant. With olives. For everyone. The joy? Immediate. The energy? Electric. The crowd? Unified. I watched a grandmother at the next table raise her glass like the queen she is. I nearly cried. This wasn't service. This was a masterclass in human connection. Restaurants can be transactional. Robotic. This was the opposite. This was care, intention, soul. My high school principal once said: "The difference between ordinary and extraordinary is that little bit of extra." The Porch brought extra, bagged it, garnished it, and served it on a tray. Final thought: If you're not brunching here, I'm concerned. If you are? I'll raise my Bloody Mary shot to you. And Amber, if you ever run for mayor, you've already got my vote. I'll run your campaign and show up in a custom t-shirt.

We ordered 2 bottles of champagne and 1 Bloody Mary and it took over 16 minutes to arrive and we had to remind him 2 times. He never brought us water. He messed up our checks and added gratuity, said he wasn't, did and then came back and said he didn't when he did. It took about 15 minutes to get our checks back after we paid. Honestly it was one not a great customer service experience. Salad was very good! Everyone's food was good. Issue was just service!

This business seems determined to squeeze every dollar possible out of its customers, often without being transparent about it. We visited during the World Cup festivities and were told ahead of time that it was reservation-only, meaning a table required a minimum purchase of a $350 bottle. Expensive? Absolutely. But at least we knew that going in. When we arrived, however, the staff gave our group completely conflicting information. One employee told us there were no tables available unless we purchased a bottle. Another told us there was a table available and that we were welcome to sit and enjoy ourselves. A member of our party confirmed that we could sit, so we did. Then, as game time approached, they started forcing people who were actively eating and drinking to move because the tables were suddenly "reserved." Fast forward to the end of the night: around 10:00 PM, we were told we had to give up our table because they were transitioning to the "night crowd." If we wanted to keep our table, we would need to purchase ANOTHER bottle. This requirement had never been mentioned before. We were also not even done with our first bottle. Then came the bill. In addition to a large-party fee (we were six), they added a "late-night fee" despite the fact that it was just approaching 10:00 PM. They also charged us for bottled water after we simply asked for drinking water and were never told there would be a charge. The food was good, and the atmosphere was fun, but the lack of transparency and the constant attempts to add unexpected charges left a bad taste in our mouths. It felt like they were looking for every possible way to increase the bill rather than provide an honest customer experience. We won't be returning, and I'd recommend carefully reviewing your bill and asking questions about every fee before ordering.

We also appreciated the manager acknowledging the long wait and missing food and drinks by sending over complimentary dessert. Unfortunately, our experience with Taylor was disappointing. She spent the majority of the night standing against the wall and came across as rude and passive-aggressive, especially as we were preparing to leave. This was a noticeable contrast to Ozzy and Terrance's hospitality. The "Cowgirl Dinner" was enjoyable, but the service issues were disappointing, especially as returning guests. Overall, we appreciate the team members who made an effort and hope management addresses the concerns regarding Taylor's attitude.

The freshly grated Parmesan on top was chef's kiss. Tuna and Avocado Roll: this was fresh and paired nicely with the sauce. 10/10 **Entrees** I got the Joey Classic Steak (on accident lol) but I'm not disappointed. The steak was cooked perfectly. The "crispy mashed potatoes" were unexpected lol. They were more like mashed potato eggrolls/flautas, but tasted fine. Id give this plate a solid 8/10. I ended up only ordering a drink and an appetizer because I was so disappointed I didn't want to go further. $23.75 Joey Martini - just a simple dry vodka martini w Kettle One. But the description lured me in with the promise of a fantastic martini with an "extra martini on the side". What I received was a half of a martini with the rest of my martini in a shaker next to it. The martini was fine but nothing special. Not the first time I've overplayed for a drink but I do feel a little funny about the way their menu sold me then undelivered. $19 Hummus - The food was an issue for me though. When I order Hummus, I expect to receive hummus. Like the dish should be 70-80% hummus with some light toppings and some good pita bread. What I received was a pretty plate but very little actual hummus and a disaster of pita. First, they made a pretty plate circle of a small band of hummus then filled it with extra stuff to make it APPPEAR as if the center was filled with hummus yet there was zero hummus except for that small outer band. I estimate 49% hummus and the rest tzatziki and garnishment. Don't get me wrong, very aesthetically pleasing and tasty "extras" but the menu item isn't titled "EXTRAS with a little hummus". It's titled "Hunmus". And the pita... oh boy, what a mess. Proper pita is lightly grilled - served warm with a nice sponginess yet bite friendly approach. This pita was way over saturated in their butter/oil, and crisped up to the point there were burn marks and char on every piece. Horrible pairing with hummus and JOEY should know it. I feel these other reviews may be fake honestly as the prices are insane and the execution quite poor. Be careful. $45 for a $15 meal isn't worth it. Go somewhere else - I'm including a pic of the "hummus" reveal so you see what I'm talking about
