I ended up ordering a second burger because the first one disappeared way too fast... it was that good. I've been a fan since their pop-up days, so seeing them in their own space now is so exciting and well deserved. And the quality hasn't skipped a beat, if anything, it's even better. Easily some of the best burgers in Dallas. No question.

I got their re-known schmurger burger without grilled onions with their seasoned fries. All in all, I definitely recommend this place! The burger was fantastic and reminded me of those old fashioned cheeseburgers you only find in small-town burger restaurants in the Texas country. Also, the fries were equally as good as their schmurger in my opinion. They couldn't have seasoned the fries better too. Honestly, reminded me of those fries you only find at wing restaurants like Wingstop!

BYO Burger ($10.99) + Bacon ($1.50) + Caramelized Onions ($0.50) + Fried Onion Ring ($0.50) + Bodacious BBQ + Goat Chips ($2.99) = $16.48: This burger was better than the Firebird. My only gripe was that the fried onion ring had a harder texture than I would have liked so biting through it wasn't the best experience. The real star of the meal though was the goat chips. Perfect texture, nice and crispy with seasoning that was chef's kiss. My husband was absolutely addicted and said it was Michelin level. Firebird ($12.99) + Fried Egg ($1.50) + Avocado Spread ($1) + Onions ($0.50) + Side Salad ($6.49) + Balsamic Vinaigrette = $22.23: The salad came with no bacon and was very plain tasting. The chicken didn't seem fried to us and had no outer batter so it tasted more like it was baked. There was a slight heat to it and the taste was okay but if you're looking for a hot Nashville chicken sandwich this isn't it.

My favorite burgers are the classic and the chili cheeseburger, which is not a big gooy burger you have to eat with a fork but has just the right amount of chili and chili sauce on it and just a delicious flavor. You can pick it up and eat it with your hands. You can either get a seeded bun or a plain one. Everything always tastes fresh and hot.

This unassuming restaurant tucked in a corner of nondescript row of stores has stood the test of time. My first review of the place was in 2013. Here it is 13 years later then it is still going strong. I went for lunch with the family on a snow day. You order at the counter and they bring it to your table. No numbers, they just remember who you are. I always get combo number 1 and add sweet potato fries. The prices are great and not much more than McDonalds but the difference in value is significant. The burgers are not thick but this time I noticed the double burger (#2) is just a couple of bucks more than the the single patty in #1. Note to self for next time. Although the patty is thin, the flavors work. The burger comes with lettuce, tomato, onion, and mustard. No ketchup, you add that yourself. The bun with sesame seeds always comes out piping hot. Sweet potato fries are crispy and not greasy. The combo comes with a drink for $10.99. That's a deal. I hope they stay in business another 13 years!

We ordered the fried mushrooms to start, and they were so hot that one of us severely burned her lower gums on them. Seriously! A prescription from the dentist was sought; mea culpa but damn. Once they were less volcanic, they were good. We split a burger with fried onions, and it was dry. The meat was overbooked, the bun was over toasted, and the whole thing needed plenty of beer to go down smoothly. The fries are fine, and we did appreciate that they had some steamed broccoli on the menu. Our daughter was happy with her kids cheeseburger meal, and she did like the chocolate-caramel malt shake she scored at the end. A main reason that we're landing on three stars is the ice cream situation. One of us ordered a soft serve vanilla, and nobody told her that the machine was down, so what she got instead was a cup of half melted Blue Bell soup...are you kidding! Thanks for the prompt refund, but letting your customer know what the situation is in advance goes a long way. So, we tried it. Add a notch to the Dallas belt. We wish them well, but we won't be returning. There are better burgers in DFW.

Then the food comes out and it somehow gets even better. We tried the OG Smash, Chopped Cheese, and the Special Cowboy Burger and every single one was so freaking good. Seriously, Herby's has to be in the conversation for a Top 5 burger in Dallas. If you're anywhere in the Metroplex, this place is absolutely worth the drive down to Oak Cliff. They've also got a solid selection of beers, so come hungry and thirsty. Old-school burger joint, great food, great atmosphere, and just an all-around awesome spot. Highly recommend Herby's.

The decor was vintage, and I loved the jams they had that evening: 90s-2000s hip hop. The staff was super friendly and informative about their menu, which is simple but delivers in quality! I ordered their OG smash with jalapeños. Loved the seasoning on the meat, and it was decently sized. I was craving a burger, and Herby's hit the spot. Condiments are sold separately, and they do offer a table for you to dress up your order as you like. The beverages are cold, so I sipped on my red wine and just enjoyed the chillness. The wait wasn't too long, and as I waited to dine in, the evening rush was showing up for to-go orders. I highly recommend dining in if you have the time!

I ordered the following #5 Special with bacon #1 The best burger and then the cheese fries I got the order within 10 minutes and did not take too long. Once they deliver the food to you, I paid through credit card and then you can tip them so I gave them an 18% tip as they were nice and serve the food to me. The food is very messy and oily so make sure you bring some hand sanitizer. They packed in a lot of napkins as well. The burger itself was just alright, was a little cold for me though so not so sure how long it was waiting. The lettuce and tomato was a little on the soggy side. The meat itself was just alright. When I ate it, I did not experience the wow factor. I can not complain about the price however.
