Found this place where I started purchasing my sea moss in a small market place center. One of the best finds out there. The food is delicious! Very tasty and seasoned to perfection. The fries are fried perfectly. The catfish is delicious. We are very picky about our catfish. You'll wait a while to get your food because it's made to order and that's ok. It's worth the wait. read more

Best fried fish I've had in DFW! I went here because a guy I follow online raved about his experience here and they are right up the road from me. I ordered a chicken thigh, wing, fried fish and Mac n cheese with their signature butter cake on the side. Fried chicken- Really good fried chicken! I got mild and it was plenty spicy. I don't care for the traditional dry Nashville hot rub and this was not that so I was happy about that. It was crunchy, flavorful and juicy. Fish- 9.6/10!!! Great flavor, cooked to perfection and just the right amount of heat. Next time I go back will be for the catfish basket. Mac n Cheese- Did not hit... extremely cheesy but possibly too much. I know that doesn't make sense but as a Mac n cheese fan, jt was too cheesy. Butter Cake- I'm not usually a fan of butter cake but the guy said it's their best seller so I tried it. It was delicious! I will be back for sure! read more

I got the 2-piece fish basket with medium spice, and I wasn't expecting it to be so good! Crispy, seasoned perfectly, and that spice hit just right. Not too hot, just enough to make it exciting. Exactly what I was hoping for!! You can tell they fry it fresh because it came out hot and golden. I was craving fish now I'm hooked. 2 Neighbors Hot Chicken just earned a repeat customer! read more

2 Neighbor's Hot Chicken at 324 E Belt Line Rd, DeSoto, TX 75115 - Inside Grow DeSoto Market Place What can I say this was a chicken eating experience. The hot things on their menus are the chicken sandwich, the chicken tenders even the fried fish. Today I kept it simple I got the chicken sandwich with coleslaw inside some macaroni and cheese. Also they had eight piece chicken tenders and I got it medium. Medium was pretty hot to me I want it bottled water I actually went to other places there looking for some bottled water but I wound up coming back getting a bottle of water and Kool-Aid First macaroni and cheese was mid-level at best. It was not as good as the person is counter said it was but I did mix it with some fries and chicken tenders and the sauce lol the chicken sandwich was very tasty with that coleslaw it was top level. The chicken tenders were well done that crust on it with that sauce was a little bit hotter than I thought it was but I ate them all. And washing it down with that delicious Kool-Aid. My blood sugar cause me to start an instant 24-hour fast. Plus I went to the park and walked at least a mile. Overall this is definitely a place that I would like to come back and try more things and probably bring friends and family too in the future. This food Hall has always been a hidden gem in DeSoto for very interesting and delicious food choices. Please take your time and come check them out inside. read more

Peeps. I hit the area and decided to check out this spot. The food was tasty. Had the wings medium. The guy who helped me was a good kid. Had personality. A little less food and a little higher price then I expected for three whole wings so be prepared. Tell them PK sent you. read more

Tried the tenders and for once I was not disappointed. I will be revisiting and trying more of the menu.

The customer service is trash and still plan on coming back. I think that says a lot lol. The chicken sandwich is delicious and filling. The fries are acceptable but they could use more seasoning. The dessert was bomb. Idk what it's called but it was some type of cake that had cheesecake in it. Keep in mind that this restaurant is located inside of a market place with other eateries and businesses so if someone in your crew doesn't care for chicken sandwiches, they can try something else. read more

An associate of mines door dasher me some strips from this establishment and I must say they have some fantastic strips . Skin was nice and crispy, but once you break into the strip the meat was so moist and nicely seasoned. Crinkled fries are my favorite and this place did not disappoint with having crinkled fries and season to perfection. I also like that you can also mix up the flavors , so I got one regular strips and two medium. read more

Well, it's very RARE that I make a comment about any establishments, especially when I make an asserted effort to support black businesses & meaning across town + the recommendations from a food blogger .. I'm completely, and totally let down with the HORRIBLE AND UNCOUTH customer service and care I received, especially being that I drove over 40 minutes, and having a fellow local Dallas chef to give it a try!! I guess I wasn't the typical "blue print" of the fellas, in the back making SLY comments, that they didn't think I heard! The music was way too loud (almost yelling to place my order). And having to pick my order up outside - who does that!!? The tenders were good, however, there absolutely no Mac & Cheese. And, after seeing the staff washing pots and pans from the window that I had to pick up my food wasn't too inviting either. DO BETTER, please . It hurts to not want to support this business, as I really believe that this has potential! read more

New Mansfield location across from Mansfield Methodist Hospital. Their soft opening was this weekend. We enjoyed the catfish basket. Battered just right and fried to perfection. I have been to this spot twice now, and both times it was absolutely delicious! Their chicken is fried to a crispy perfection. The seasoning is delicious, but not overdone. Their greens were full of flavor too. Let me tell you though- the star of the show is their banana cheese cake or chess cake idk, but it is SOOOOO good! Oh and don't get me started on the kook-aid! My mouth is watering as I write this review! Lol. The point is, you should def go give them a try! Be prepared to wait a lil' minute for your food to come out though! Maybe order ahead if you can... read more

You have to go inside of the market and to the right. I called ahead. 30 min wait. Worth all of that wait, though. Sandwich was HUGE, honey. HUGE. I could barely eat it all. Koolaide was ALL THAT. $3 but good. Sandwiches come in different levels of heat. Next time, I will order TWO Koolaides (I ordered one and thought I would share with a friend. We could've fought!). I will only order one fry, if any. $3 and some change per order of fries, and I didn't feel there were enough fries. Nothing special about them. The sandwich and Koolaide is enough. Will I be back? Update: I received a call in regards to my order and they were very apologetic, I received a replacement order today and it was delicious like I remember before! I'm so mad... they changed their quality of fish or the provider and it's literally thin small pieces with hardly any meat!! It's seasoned so well but the fish is trash quality! I'd prefer the prices get raised for better product than what I paid for today. Also, the sauce was spilled all over my fries so those didn't get eaten, packaging could be alot better. read more

This place did not disappoint!!! I'd been craving a chicken sandwich for weeks and settled for Wingstop (big mistake) because I couldn't find anywhere else. I came across this place on TikTok and Yelp and I'm sooo glad I did!! The chicken sandwich was so flavorful, crispy and cooked to perfection. The Mac n cheese was also on point. As you can see I'd already eaten all of it before I could get a pic lol!! Even my picky eating toddler loved the food. They have that Popeyes and Chick Fil A sandwich beat by a long shot. The fries, kool-aid and cakes were also good!! I can't wait to go back!!!! Oh and the customer service was top tier as well!! read more

Food. Service. Ambiance was ok considering the set up. I am a huge advocate for service oriented businesses. Any business: Blk Owned or not. Even if the food is not that great but the service is good, I will support that business. Well this one missed the mark. LThe cashier just stood there to wait for me and my guest to order. No hello. Welcome to 2N; nothing! Heard about them from a TikTok influencer. He rant and raved about how good the food tasted and made it look like it was off the chain. Well he must have received preferential treatment cause I nor my guest were impressed. Our food was waaaay too salty and the service wasn't pleasant. So work on your customers service 2N and reduce some of salt! I might revisit because I believe in 2nd chances but no guarantee. read more

I actually took pictures this time. This past week was customer appreciation week, which i had no idea but the owner of this black establishment informed me and offered me a $25 gift card! I love a BOB that loves their customers! Now this time i got the 3 piece wing combo which is my usual but i saw on the board they had a special for a leg and thigh so i got that as well. Now i knew i was finna tear them wings up and i did as y'all can see the bones but that 2 piece... Am i the only one who can not eat big chicken? When i tell y'all i picked up the drum and i thought it was a fried turkey leg i couldn't do it y'all. I tasted the skin and it was still as seasoned as everything else so if you're a big chicken eating person then go ahead but it just wasn't for me so i handed it over to my big chicken eating husband and he enjoyed it. read more

Customer service was subpar... We weren't even greeted after standing in front of two women. They only spoke when we said we were ready to order. The fish was fried to perfection, but the seasoning left something to be desired. I liked the chicken sandwich, but it was average overall. The fries were also average. The prices are high for this type of food, especially given how much is lacking in flavor and service. read more

The chicken sandwich I got here was the truth. It was so huge. Oh my goodness! Everything about this sandwich just did it for me. The level of spiciness, the seasoning of the chicken, the bread, and even the coleslaw (I do not like coleslaw btw) sat well in my soul! I saw on the counter they had this banana pudding chess cake. I like banana pudding and I like chess pie. The thought would have never crossed my mind to combine the two, but I am glad it crossed their mind. BABY, what Tabitha Brown say, come on in this room! That was one of the BEST desserts I have ever eaten. It was so rich and decedent, but it also reminded me of my childhood. Just heavenly. I got the sides as well. Mac & cheese and collared greens. I had myself a ball baby! read more

The food was ok, just ok! The plain wings were bland and little. The Mac and cheese tastes like box Mac that was spruced up with no seasoning. The greens were pretty good but could've used a little more flavor. The koolaid was the best thing, as well as the banana pudding chess cake. The service was cool. Overall the food was 3 out of 10. read more

I just went here for the first time. The staff is friendly and the Hot everything looked clean. I decided to try the Hot Chicken Sandwich because a friend asked me to because she lives far away and wanted to know if it was good. I ordered a medium because I wanted to taste the meat more than the heat for a first try. Because they do not cook it until you order it there was a wait. The sign says 20 minutes but it is really only around 10 minutes. The Chicken Sandwich is excellent. The sandwich was bigger than I thought it would be. And to be honest it is the best chicken sandwich that I have tasted to date. My wife wanted to try it and after she tasted it she wanted on in mild. So back I went to get one for her. I wanted to see what a mild would taste like and I was surprised to see it was still full of flavor. I will get the hot next time. My wife ordered fries and they are the best fries I have tasted. Clearly they are seasoned fries. But they are much better than the fries that were my favorite prior to tasting these. Is it worth the $7.00 price? Yes... yes it is. I have paid that much for sandwiches that was smaller and did not taste as good. You are getting a great tasting sandwich which for many people are going to be two meals. So yes the price is fair. Both me and my wife gives 2 Neighbors a thumbs up in all three categories: Clean, Friendly and Taste. read more

This is a hidden gem, nestled inside the Grow DeSoto Market Place. The sandwiches are made to order with your choice of spice. We elected to go with the Double OG spice, which was pretty good. The sandwiches are huge with the meat extending well beyond the bun. The sauce, coleslaw, and pickles added the perfect "sumptim sumptim" to finish it off. The fried okra was tasty and cooked just right and the 7-up cake was delish! The only thing keeping me from rating higher was the Mac & Cheese. I found this to be shockingly bad. It tasted like it was prepared with powdered cheese with a little of the real stuff sprinkled on top to fool us. Welp, we ain't buying it! Come on, y'all know we don't play about our Mac& Cheese. This I was a hood crime. To end on a high note, the customer service was great, and I would definitely go back! Bye bye Chic fil who! read more

This is in the DeSoto Grow Market and they had a musician performing pretty well. We ordered a 3 piece wing basket Double OG heat and tenders mild basket. The food takes an incredibly long time, possibly longest I've ever waited on to go food. Since it took around 45 minutes we just left instead of eating at the tables set up like a food court. I also got a Kool Aid and it was really good, I get my wings home and they're absolutely amazing. Possibly the best chicken I've ever eaten, the outside was so flavorful and inside it was so moist. I literally ate every crumb. I do enjoy the fries too. I'll go back but just not after work cause the wait was bad. read more

This was my first visit in a year... we tried the hot chicken before and it was super delish. This time we went for the fried fish. We placed an order over the phone with a 15 min-wait but got there and it was another 15-min wait.... Not so bad but our order was incorrect. They quickly made it right AND offered us free cake. The cake was good too - it was banana pudding cake!! The fish was very very very good - crispy, hot and just perfect. We will definitely go back and give it another try because it was sooo good!!!!! read more
