Peeps. I hit the area and decided to check out this spot. The food was tasty. Had the wings medium. The guy who helped me was a good kid. Had personality. A little less food and a little higher price then I expected for three whole wings so be prepared. Tell them PK sent you.

Been hearing a lot about this place so decided w stop by after work and ordered a 3 piece wing medium with hot on the side the food was delicious the medium was not spicy so I am glad I paid for a side of the hot on the side service was great will definitely visit again

An associate of mines door dasher me some strips from this establishment and I must say they have some fantastic strips . Skin was nice and crispy, but once you break into the strip the meat was so moist and nicely seasoned. Crinkled fries are my favorite and this place did not disappoint with having crinkled fries and season to perfection. I also like that you can also mix up the flavors , so I got one regular strips and two medium.

Nice lil food spot tucked away in the Desoto Market. Enjoyed the fried pork chops greens and mac. Definitely worth checking out,, try the banana pudding chess cake if they got it!!

2 Neighbor's Hot Chicken at 324 E Belt Line Rd, DeSoto, TX 75115 - Inside Grow DeSoto Market Place What can I say this was a chicken eating experience. The hot things on their menus are the chicken sandwich, the chicken tenders even the fried fish. Today I kept it simple I got the chicken sandwich with coleslaw inside some macaroni and cheese. Also they had eight piece chicken tenders and I got it medium. Medium was pretty hot to me I want it bottled water I actually went to other places there looking for some bottled water but I wound up coming back getting a bottle of water and Kool-Aid First macaroni and cheese was mid-level at best. It was not as good as the person is counter said it was but I did mix it with some fries and chicken tenders and the sauce lol the chicken sandwich was very tasty with that coleslaw it was top level. The chicken tenders were well done that crust on it with that sauce was a little bit hotter than I thought it was but I ate them all. And washing it down with that delicious Kool-Aid. My blood sugar cause me to start an instant 24-hour fast. Plus I went to the park and walked at least a mile. Overall this is definitely a place that I would like to come back and try more things and probably bring friends and family too in the future. This food Hall has always been a hidden gem in DeSoto for very interesting and delicious food choices. Please take your time and come check them out inside.

Well, it's very RARE that I make a comment about any establishments, especially when I make an asserted effort to support black businesses & meaning across town + the recommendations from a food blogger .. I'm completely, and totally let down with the HORRIBLE AND UNCOUTH customer service and care I received, especially being that I drove over 40 minutes, and having a fellow local Dallas chef to give it a try!! I guess I wasn't the typical "blue print" of the fellas, in the back making SLY comments, that they didn't think I heard! The music was way too loud (almost yelling to place my order). And having to pick my order up outside - who does that!!? The tenders were good, however, there absolutely no Mac & Cheese. And, after seeing the staff washing pots and pans from the window that I had to pick up my food wasn't too inviting either. DO BETTER, please . It hurts to not want to support this business, as I really believe that this has potential!

I have been to this spot twice now, and both times it was absolutely delicious! Their chicken is fried to a crispy perfection. The seasoning is delicious, but not overdone. Their greens were full of flavor too. Let me tell you though- the star of the show is their banana cheese cake or chess cake idk, but it is SOOOOO good! Oh and don't get me started on the kook-aid! My mouth is watering as I write this review! Lol. The point is, you should def go give them a try! Be prepared to wait a lil' minute for your food to come out though! Maybe order ahead if you can...

Update: I received a call in regards to my order and they were very apologetic, I received a replacement order today and it was delicious like I remember before! I'm so mad... they changed their quality of fish or the provider and it's literally thin small pieces with hardly any meat!! It's seasoned so well but the fish is trash quality! I'd prefer the prices get raised for better product than what I paid for today. Also, the sauce was spilled all over my fries so those didn't get eaten, packaging could be alot better.

This place did not disappoint!!! I'd been craving a chicken sandwich for weeks and settled for Wingstop (big mistake) because I couldn't find anywhere else. I came across this place on TikTok and Yelp and I'm sooo glad I did!! The chicken sandwich was so flavorful, crispy and cooked to perfection. The Mac n cheese was also on point. As you can see I'd already eaten all of it before I could get a pic lol!! Even my picky eating toddler loved the food. They have that Popeyes and Chick Fil A sandwich beat by a long shot. The fries, kool-aid and cakes were also good!! I can't wait to go back!!!! Oh and the customer service was top tier as well!!

You have to go inside of the market and to the right. I called ahead. 30 min wait. Worth all of that wait, though. Sandwich was HUGE, honey. HUGE. I could barely eat it all. Koolaide was ALL THAT. $3 but good. Sandwiches come in different levels of heat. Next time, I will order TWO Koolaides (I ordered one and thought I would share with a friend. We could've fought!). I will only order one fry, if any. $3 and some change per order of fries, and I didn't feel there were enough fries. Nothing special about them. The sandwich and Koolaide is enough. Will I be back? Um YEA

I actually took pictures this time. This past week was customer appreciation week, which i had no idea but the owner of this black establishment informed me and offered me a $25 gift card! I love a BOB that loves their customers! Now this time i got the 3 piece wing combo which is my usual but i saw on the board they had a special for a leg and thigh so i got that as well. Now i knew i was finna tear them wings up and i did as y'all can see the bones but that 2 piece... Am i the only one who can not eat big chicken? When i tell y'all i picked up the drum and i thought it was a fried turkey leg i couldn't do it y'all. I tasted the skin and it was still as seasoned as everything else so if you're a big chicken eating person then go ahead but it just wasn't for me so i handed it over to my big chicken eating husband and he enjoyed it.

    No sauce or slaw

The service was horrible! The young man at the front was more focused on his phone then the customers. The sandwich did not come with fries nor a drink! Everything was charged separately. The sandwich had no sauce or slaw! And two sandwiches came out to $30! NEVER AGAIN!

The smoke from the kitchen basically consumed the dining area and was very irritating. It eventually dissipated after a while, but I wouldn't recommend infants in this environment. After our party was seated, it took 15-20 min before our waiter greeted us and provided water; that was a bit annoying. After we got our orders in, things were smooth sailing from there. We were a large party and our waiter did a pretty good job at managing us and all of our requests. Food: they do not waste time bringing the food out. Most of our orders came out within 10 minutes! I ordered the Short Rib (unfortunately not pictured). It was hot, tender, and seasoned well....very good. It came on a bed of rice and some type of sauce. I was not a fan of either. The rice seemed uncooked and the sauce was too much and very liquid. It drowned the rice and practically made it soupy. I would have been fine with just the short rib. I also ordered a side of black eyed peas... also not a fan. It was undercooked and I didn't love whatever seasoning was used to prepare it. Other items I tried: Fries, Cornbread, Yams, and Soul Rolls. These were all tasty, specifically the soul roll. It came out crispy, hot, and stuff proportionately. I could take every bit of what was inside. It's definitely a must try.

The menu prices could be adjusted downward but it was a nice experience. I'd recommend if you're in the mood for soul food. The sweet potato cornbread was the best!

It's a small, intimate space with about six booth seats (three on each side), plus some outdoor seating. Now, let's talk about the food. I have to say, the mac and cheese and Cajun corn were a solid 5/5 -- I would absolutely order those again! The oxtail was just okay -- a bit bland, and you only get two pieces for a $40 plate. Not bad, but I've definitely had better. The beef tips and rice, however, were on point. Customer service was a 5/5 -- very pleasant and welcoming. What I ordered: Oxtails and gravy, catfish with Chicken Pasta and green beans. The Issues: * The Oxtails: Received 3 oxtails in my order that were noticeably overcooked, and it was clear the gravy had been added as an afterthought after the cooking process rather than being cooked with the meat. * Missing Items: I ordered the catfish and pasta, but they completely forgot my side. * Overall Value: Between the execution of the main dishes and the service oversight, the experience just wasn't there. Vivian Howard of North Carolina, Chef, Restaurateur and teacher to hopeful home cooks with her current show on PBS, "Kitchen Curious" cites Bojangles as the source of her inspiration for dirty rice, wanting to recreate that specific flavor profile at home. Yes, Bojangles. She even went through their drive thru on the show where she makes her own version of dirty rice. So I finally went to the Bojangles near me in Lancaster one evening. We stopped in and marveled at the many biscuit combinations on the menu. I will say that reading through the reviews on our way there was weird though. There are apparently "legacy" Bojangles out East that serve bone in Chicken and more selections of sides or "fix ins." This caused consternation after this Lancaster franchise opened and they didn't have bone in chicken. It seemed to affect customer perception of the current trimmed down menu of biscuit and tenders, salads and sandwiches only menu early on. The menu reminds me of Chick- fil-A, just different. As for today, I came for the Dirty Rice. But we did order two Chicken sandwiches plus pickles, a family size dirty rice and a family size coleslaw, to go. Bojangles does not have jalapeños FYI. The menu neglected to show a sandwich only price. So I asked. I was told $6.92 including tax. The family size fix ins were $4.99. Combos with sandwich, beverage, and side choice are approximately $9.50. Sandwiches come with lettuce and tomatoes according to the menu. The restaurant was clean with booths and tables. Service was friendly. When we got home though, I must have been misunderstood or I misunderstood what went on the sandwiches. We had ended up with only pickles instead of added pickles. I don't usually post photos of food with utensils or half full containers with food already removed but today, I am doing that. I sliced up some tomatoes, washed lettuce, got out the jalapeños and more pickles and mayo and we fixed up our sandwiches. I would like to think that everything would have been sorted out at the restaurant if we had dined in, but only 2 pickles? Seriously? The chicken itself was cooked perfectly. The exterior was still mostly crispy and was well seasoned. It certainly needed the veggies. And I have to have my jalapeños! The bun was brioche however and perfectly toasted. Now the dirty rice. I could taste the chicken bouillon in the well seasoned rice and the big chunks of sausage were appreciated. It was good. So was the coleslaw. Nice and cold, crunchy and a perfect foil to my jalapeños on my sandwich. So we spent spent $24.42 on two people for no drinks, two large sides and two sandwiches. Honestly, it was good, but it is not something that I would eat frequently. As I said, we don't usually eat fried chicken out. They are open 24 hours!
