Stopped in here to get some food relief with a belly full of wine. Can't say we ordered any more wine off the menu. But I did drink down about 3 glasses of water which they put lemon and cucumber in it. NICE TOUCH. The server was really friendly and helpful. I had one of their pizzas, a half though. Which was the prefect amount. I thought it was really good. My grandma had a shrimp salad which she sad was also very good. Great place in the village to get some grub! OH and we sat on the patio and they had misters on ceiling which was awesome cuz it was hot out! read more

I was looking so forward to checking this place out as everyone here loves it. Well, the food was alright. The pear bacon pizza was very good, it sounds strange but tastes great..The wine was ok, I like tasting wine so it was a good opportunity to do that. The service however was awful. So slow. I had to ask the water gal a few times for help as the server hardly ever checked on us. That is the reason for the lower rating. I did like that surrounding Wine O Clock there are several other wine tasting opportunities. read more

We had dinner at Wine O'clock just after 4th of July, and it was wonderful. We went on a Saturday night expecting it to be busy, but it was only steady and we got a table right away. The atmosphere is great - it was designed (I assume) to resemble an old farm house, with a beautiful interior and fantastic outdoor seating.The outdoor seating is near the owner's herb and lavender garden, so besides the food there were lovely scents of fresh herbs wafting our way. Susan, the owner came to say hello and she is a wonderful and gracious hostess. She even gave me tips for growing lavender in my own garden. Our server, Lorraine, was attentive, friendly, and very thoughtful. I asked her for water for a baby bottle and she was kind enough to mix in some cool water to ensure that it wasn't too hot. Wow! This place is awesome. I love the setup, it's an open kitchen and they have a nice pizza oven. The tables and chairs are beautiful and comfortable. There are lots of windows and the staff was very nice. As we began browsing the menu, our server poured us a half glass each of their Rose, which was pretty good and totally free. They have delicious artisan pizza. We ordered the savory & sweet which had an olive oil based sauce, sharp cheddar cheese, bacon, and pears. The taste of the pears was delicious on the pizza but they got a little too mushy in texture which took away from the overall experience of eating it. We also purchased the white wine flight to go with it which was 3 half-glasses, riesling, viognier, and gewurztraminer - pretty good but nothing out of the ordinary. Prices were fairly reasonable - we shared our pizza, had a flight of wine, and 2 half glasses of rose for about $28. Not bad. Definitely worth a try to have a nice lunch, it gets packed pretty quick - we arrive on Saturday around 11:30am and it was pretty empty, so I recommend arriving early to get a good seat. read more

I'm giving this place 3.5 stars. We were referred to Wine O'Clock by someone in the neighborhood of Prosser and were excited about this eatery/wine spot. The restaurant is laid out identical to your best friends kitchen and is just as cozy. The island/bar separates the dining area from the stove and prep area so you see the chef cooking away. The hanging pictures tell the story of the small family run wine operation right out of the home. The special of the day...er the only thing offered on this day...was a chicken sandwich with mozzarella on a ciabatta bread. We did see the menu and there are alot of dishes that seemed especially tasty, however the only thing offered on this Monday was the sandwich. The sandwich was really tasty, the chicken was moist and the bread tasted as if it was just pulled from the oven. I had the Riesling and it didn't suit my palette, so I left over half the glass on the table. We were curious about the place and our server suggested we speak with the owner since she was there. Later the server came back and told us the owner was busy and wasn't going to come over so she tried to answer our questions. I was shocked to see the owner very much present but didn't come over to speak to her own customers. I was also surprised that the server didn't offer another wine or option since I didn't enjoy the Riesling I had. Overall the sandwich we had was good. The wine that I tried was okay and the service was not superb, but the atmosphere is comfortable, open and at the same time cozy and I'll give this place another try. read more

Unfortunately I'm revising my review of Wine O'Clock down from 5 stars and "one of the best restaurants in WA state" to 3 stars and "meh, it's fine". I'm not sure if it's the change in chef or something else, but the menu was very restricted (down to a list of things about which I am admittedly unenthusiastic -- literally as I looked at the menu I thought "there isn't a single thing I really want to eat -- no beef? no chicken? no pork? no pasta? no salmon or any other fish?"), the ingredients were a great deal less local, they really rushed us in-and-out...and honestly the food they did have wasn't that good. Not being a fan of scallops or duck -- and eating salads most every other night -- I ended up with the Pizza because that's about all that was left on the menu. I got the "chef's pizza", which came with about 6 half-bite sized pieces of chicken spread over 4 pieces of pizza, and then a handful of tomatoes dumped haphazardly over it. Honestly, a pre-made pizza crust cooked at home with left over chicken & tomatoes would have tasted just as good -- probably better since I wouldn't have skimped on the "chile chicken" (which had no chile flavor at all). I had not eaten much today, anticipating a great meal tonight; and as I was eating, I found myself wondering about a walk past a fast-food restaurant afterward to actually fill up. My wife had the "composed salad" and she had no complaints. "it's fine", she said. And that's sort of the point. It was fine. Last time I was here I called it "one of the best restaurants in WA". "It's fine" is a big step down. Wine O'Clock was our must-stop restaurant as we pass thru wine country. We'd go in twice in 2 days sometimes because we loved it just that much. But, after this showing, I'm not sure I'll return. It's not bad, but it's not great -- and there are plenty of 'not great' restaurants in the world I haven't tried yet. read more

2 stars because the pizza was tasty. Why not 5 stars? Because we walk in at 6 pm on a dead sunday, after wine tasting all day (and sent here by locals for a bite), and being told, word for word "well we usually like to have reservations but we have open tables so we can seat you this time." Really? You have 2 tables full and 20+ empty tables and THATS how you greet new customers?! We have been to many, many wineries this weekend who greeted us with open arms and made us feel WELCOME. Of everywhere we are and tasted in Yakima (20+ wineries and resruraunts in 3 days) this was the most cold greeting ever. When we asked how much for a glass of Chardonnay we were told "like 6-8$ Im not sure" and the waitress walked away. Ok, I guess we won't order a glass then. Thanks anyways!! I'd like to end by saying we had an absolutely FANTASTIC WEEKEND in Yakima's wine valley for our 5 year wedding anniversary. But this was our last stop and pretty much ruined the mood for us. read more

We were quite surprised to find a true fine dining experience in what would otherwise be considered a very small town. Proximity to Vinners Village makes it a plus, especially if one has undertaken an afternoon of wine tasting and doesn't feel like driving. It's a small but well executed menu, with the option to vary the portion size on their pizzas and some entrees. The Composed Salad was so good that we opted for it again on our next nights visit as well. Sweet and savory pizza, duck leg entree excellent as well, as was the panna cotta. Very nice selection of locally sourced wines from three different producers, I believe they are available for bottle purchase as well. The variety of flight options gives one the opportunity to sample quite a variety if desired. Service was good one evening, and excellent on the return visit. It's a little on the pricey side, but offers great value for what you're paying!. read more

I am always indecisive when ordering, but the waitress told me the pear bacon pizza has a "cult" following and that was enough to sell me. Boy, am I glad I ordered it. This is probably the best pizza I have ever had. The left panel of the menu stays the same, but the right panel changes weekly. Ingredients are seasonal and locally sourced. I suggests ordering a wine flight as the pours are quote generous. Outdoor seating is a must when the weather is nice. Cheers! read more

I seriously enjoyed this spot owned by Bunnell Family Cellars! A warm, comfortable atmosphere welcomed us on a busy evening. We were seated fairly quickly and ordered a bottle of the Rosé. It was full in color but surprisingly dry; The acidity was very nice with light strawberry flavors. I loved how the kitchen was essentially part of the dining room, so we got to watch the chefs do it their thing. It really upped the ambiance! We ordered the caprese salad (good but nothing to write home about), the savory and sweet pizza (their most popular and rightly so), and the artisan cured meat pizza (also tasty but could have more punch). The savory and sweet pizza was definitely the highlight of the meal, and the Rosé paired nicely with it! Service was fabulous and we all had a great dinner. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a nice dinner, good wine and friendly atmosphere with a slightly upscale touch. read more

The charred salad and fondue appetizer was tasty. The margherita style pizza had fresh ingredients. The mozzarella and dough was god but overall the pizza was a little bland. The pizza crust had a garlic seasoning, maybe spread the love on the rest of the pizza? I thought it was good, just could have used a little more flavor. Overall, Wine O' Clock was a nice find. I wanted to like this place, it came highly recommended from our server at the Kiona winery, but... We stopped here on a Wed at 2. We had just come from Kiona and I was expecting to do another wine tasting and get a snack. First impressions: nice outdoor space but when it's 95 out you don't really want to lounge outside. Their entrance was small, not inviting. There was a small wine tasting table? in the foyer, but no one was tasting or pouring. Otherwise, my choice was the small indoor "restaurant" to the right. So I asked for a table for 2 and we were seated at a very small table. The short menu was mostly pizza and appetizers with I think 4 main entrees including a Copper River Salmon dish. We had been looking forward to doing another wine tasting but that wasn't really what they were doing here. We were given a wine list with full bottles and glasses, so since we had just come from Kiona and had purchased a great Gewurtztraminer, I asked the waitress if we could pay a cork fee and open one of our own wines. She said sure, so I walked back to the car and got our wine. Upon my return I was met by the owner? manager? Susan who told me that they were a winery and not a restaurant and they couldn't serve another winery's wine. Okay, hmmm so I ordered 2 glasses of the NV Rose So, I ordered their BBQ ribs and the chef select salad, My husband got a woodfired pizza. The server asked "is that all?" I wasn't sure if that meant I was supposed to be ordering a full $32 entree (I had ordered 2 appetizers) so I checked to make sure if small plates were ok. I mean after all it was 2 in the afternoon. It was just all very awkward. I mean the tables are so small that it should just be a small plate pizza place with wine tasting. But the menu was expensive fine dining and so are the portions and the presentation. The salad was good, the pizza was excellent but small for the price, the BBQ ribs were disappointing. I was expecting ribs, but they were the Korean Beef Kalbi cut, the meat was going off and was so tough it was inedible, forget about having these as an appetizer while sipping wine. That being said the sides were great.. little potato salad balls with dill and the creamed corn was terrific. The salad was also really good. I would say that the kitchen has a really good crew. We finished off with a new dessert for July 4th.. a Red, white and blue cheesecake which was a delicious light cheesecake custard presented with great berry sauces All told, not a tasting room, not a "restaurant" and my lunch of a small pizza flatbread, a salad, 2 pieces of inedible Kalbi, 2 glasses of wine and one cheesecake was $62 plus tip. For real food and more friendly atmosphere, I will go to the Desert Wind next time. read more

We had a great meal at this restaurant. It was fun to try a couple of their "library" wines that are not available anywhere except at this restaurant. When I booked our trip I was not expecting a lot from a restaurant in Prosser but I was very happy to be wrong. Getting a confirmed reservation was a bit of a hassle but they did call me back eventually and the setting and restaurant are wonderful. And the truck stop 1/4 mile west of this restaurant had biscuits and gravy and grits to die for the next morning before we hit the road. read more

He loved the sliced meat and cheese appetizer; his scallops were perfectly prepared; and the tart was awesome...again. My wife had the duck salad and it was cooked perfectly as well. Love love love! The food is fantastic; it is not uncommon for me to dream about the cheddar, pear, bacon pizza, and I don't even like bacon. Last time I branched out with the mushroom pizza, and was delighted. The wine is...there are no words to do it justice. I'm obsessed with the mourvedre, and have been blown away by all of the red flights I've tried. The service isn't the best, but it's acceptable because of the food. I don't usually say that. Pear bacon pizza. You can't even imagine how good it is! My husband even loved this place, and he'd rather go through a drive thru any day. The pizzas are served with a condiment tray of crushed red peppers, sea salt, and this Italian olive oil, garlic, anchovy sauce that you MUST try! I asked my waitress 20 times how to pronounce it, but I can't remember now (bagnon?!). Anyway, you need to have it. They also have a goat cheese fondue that is the best thing ever. I could have sworn there was nutmeg and fresh rosemary in it. I was told no, but whatever it was, it made my mouth very, very happy. read more

There are so few restaurants that deserve 5 star. This is definitely one. They let us bring our puppy for outside sitting. We comfortable picturesque setting with dill all around you. This restaurant was recommended by the nice folks at Col Solare (thanks Felicia!). It's owned & operated by Bunnell Family Cellars, so forget about brining in your own juice. We ended up having a couple bottles of their Sangiovese, which paired nicely with the meal. Between the four of us, we shared a couple of small plates and couple of flatbread pizzas. We had the Artisan cured meat pizza. Beware, the salami has a little snap to it so taste before you sprinkle the crushed red pepper flakes onto the pizza. Our fiends had the Viva Italiano pizza (same warning). Both were delicious and plenty for two. The staff was helpful and friendly, even giving us tastes of the wines she felt would compliment our meals best. Since I don't know Prosser that well and probably wouldn't tend to stay there longer than one night on our way to Walla Walla, I'd certainly dine here again. read more

We were visiting some friends in the tri-city area and headed over to Prosser for a Sunday late lunch. My friends heard good things and I was all game to check it out. The place was dead. The hostess couldn't count. There were 6 of us and an empty table for 6 inside and she said we'd have to sit outside...in the 100 degree heat. Uhm, we pointed to the empty table for 6 inside and she said, "oh, yeah, I guess that is available". I think we had at least 3 different servers...like one couldn't do the job alone even though there was hardly anyone else in there. The food was definitely delicious. We ordered a variety of pizzas, main dishes, and the goat cheese appetizer w/berries - yum. My friends agreed it was good as well, but they concluded that it wasn't good enough to warrant a 30 min drive. The white wine flight was good too. Similar to a lot of the other reviews, our complaints lie mostly with the service. Airhead hostess, 3 different servers, and my biggest complaint was an automatic 18% gratuity added for 6 people. And then, they refused to split the bill. What the hell, I know you must have the technology to split the bill, but they refused. Such a simple task and it really annoyed me that they wouldn't do it. It's not like they were too busy to do it either, I think there were only 2 or 3 other tables in the whole place. Annoying. So I've been there, done that. Wonderful!! Beautiful inside and out. Patio seating outside and comfortable dining room. I enjoyed the open kitchen view and watching the dishes come together. Excellent service - casual, not snooty, friendly and attentive. We had a bottle of Pino with the cheese plate, which was very creative - blueberries, olives, apple, goat cheese , which cheddar, roasted peppers, crunchy bread warmed in the fire brick oven, old world salami and pistachios. Main course was Sweet and Savory fire roasted pizza (pear with pork belly bacon) and the ahi (some of the best I've ever had). So fantastic we went back for dessert later that night. We shared a apricot galette, pot of the French press coffee (which was excellent) and a pot of Blue Eyes tea (beyond excellent). The dessert was perfect. Not too sweet with a crust that didn't overwhelm the texture of the fruit. My only complaint is that I would have loved more of the amaretto whipped cream - like an entire bowl of it. read more

If you are ever want food on time or expect at least descent service, then this is not the place for you. We reached the place at about 1-1.15 and got seated at about 1.30. But once we sat down, we placed our order immediately and it took at least an hour for the order of half veggie pizza, one full bacon and pear pizza and bone marrow appetizer to come. First of all the food took so long to come, the table that sat down after us got food and the server didn't even come once to check on us. In fact we tried to get the server's attention but we couldn't until 2 mins before our order came. I don't know if it's because the were under staffed but the least you expect is the server to at least check on you when the good takes more than an hour. read more

After waiting for tables we ordered and one hour and 15 minutes later our food came to the table. My $16 burger sat on the counter ten feet from my table for at least ten minutes. And not under a warming lamp either. My wife had a chicken salad about the size of an average dinner salad. It didn't look amazing which it should for $22. In fairness they did not charge me for the burger. One pizza ordered by our party sat at the door of wood fire oven for thirty minutes while the rest of our meal cooked. I'll bet you can guess how great the pizza was. We new this is an expensive place but hoped that would be balanced by great food and service. read more
