We had one problem with one of our meals and the chef actually came to our table to take a look at it and remade it for us he said it was definitely not done right. Stopped in with friends for a late lunch, and wasn't disappointed. The setting is very classy. The service, on point. The assorted appetizer platter, with flights of red wine was the perfect way to start our relaxing 2.5 hour lunch. We followed up the appetizers with an assortment of flatbread pizzas, all of which were outstanding. My personal favorite, was the sweet & savory. The one with pears took a close second. They have their own little tasting room just inside the front door serving Bunnell and Newhouse wines. The menu offers minimal options for a main meal, but the food never disappoints. There are a few choices of specialty pizzas cooked in a wood-fired oven. We had the chef's special for the day and the pear and bacon pizzas that were both delicious and full of flavor. Also try the grilled Caesar salad, which I've never seen anywhere else. Again, top notch. The space is small and open so can get noisy at times. Reservations are highly recommended due to the small space. This is a place to relax and take your time because the service is slow due to everything being made fresh as it's ordered. Top off your meal with a specialty dessert and French press coffee and you'll be ready to continue your wine tasting adventure. read more

Wine O'Clock is cool because it basically IS like going home. The building basically looks like someone's house (well, a BIG mansion-esque house). And when you're inside, the tables are set such that you feel like you are in someone's living room, or dining room. And the kitchen is right there in the open and you can easily see the culinary magic from your table. We had a group of 6 and enjoyed a table near the kitchen. Our server was super nice. We had one friend who had dietary restrictions and our server patiently noted & suggested options. Our water was never empty. I also think an owner of the establishment also came by to check on us. So, I've been here before and had a pizza---they have some of the most funky and yummiest pizzas around, but I had to go with their special of the evening: Cold Smoked & Pan-Seared Buffalo Yeah, whenever buffalo is on the menu, my eyes turn to stars, and I talk in a robotic voice: "Beep-beep. Must have buffalo. beep-beep" Buffalo is a unique and different choice. To make it memorable, you have to have some skills. Within the first bite, I knew I was dealing with an utterly dangerous professional. I knew I chose well, and was smitten with the cook. I didn't care that he was a dude, and probably winked at him several times during the night. My friend had a Pear & Bacon Pizza. Oh damn. This was also very tasty. If buffalo didn't roam into my mouth, the pizza surely would have...and I would not have shared. For something to drink, I went with a flight. Wine O'Clock is situated in a wine-tasters mecca. My server recommended a nice red flight, and I do have to admit liking the variety and falling for a couple of them. Now since we were well into spring, one of the biggest things being harvested in the area was some wonderful Washington Asparagus. So, also on the special were some asparagus dishes. I had a taste of some of these, and they were tasty as heck, too. I love this. I love that local and in-season food was prominent on their ever-changing and lively menu. Lastly, I have to give props to Elliot. No, that's not the chef cooking my buffalo. Elliot is the corgi which is featured prominently in some photos in the hallway to the loos (bathrooms). Anyone who has a corgi has to be cool. (I know this cuz it's the only way I can be cool---I have two). So if you are on a wine tour, passing through town, or just looking for someplace different, and beautiful. I highly recommend Wine O'clock. It's always a good time there! Beautiful setting in Prosser. We used Yelp to find Vegan food..... We were asked if we had reservations... then if we preferred indoor or outdoor seating. Service was adequate if not terribly warm or helpful..... Amazingly the chef special was vegan pizza. Yum! Roasted tomato sauce and garlic, vegan ricotta cheese and arugula on top seasoned with oil, anchovies, salt and pepper. Very tasty, but a bit tough crust. We chose the Summer Refresher which was a lovely spritzer with cucumber, watermelon, cantaloupe and mint with a white wine (can't remember the type.... ) All in all we would go back. It is a fall tradition to meet friends for dinner at this outstanding restaurant. The paved walkway to the restaurant is a welcoming one through gardens of flowers, herbs, and raised beds of little tomatoes. I love stopping to watch the bees. Outdoor seating is available during warm weather months, but we always eat inside. The staff is attentive and kind. The food never disappoints. This last visit I enjoyed the butternut squash soup with yummy little tomatoes and the BLT. The tomato was awesome and filled the craving I'd been having for a really good 'homegrown' one. Husband generally does not comment on a meal, but for this one, he must have brought up how great his steak was a half dozen times. One friend had gnocci and it was a hit with her. Her partner always gets a pizza and he enjoys it in its entirety. The wine is always great and lately I haven't been willing to consider anything other than a glass of ALX. Overall, the atmosphere is comfortable and quiet enough to carry on a conversation. Wine o'Clock is definitely a dining experience one should enjoy if they are in the area. I'm editing my review score based on the reply from the hostess/owner. After reading her response I read other reviews and discovered a pattern. Whenever someone provides critiques she responds with a suite of excuses that she claims are reasons and 'apologizes' for why patrons were unsatisfied. Honestly, the food wasn't good. Don't waste your time. Original review: One word - disappointed. The reason they get more than one star is that the ahi was cooked properly and they were trying to offer 'fancy' food. We entered the restaurant and witnessed a conflict between the hostess and wine tasting person. Uncomfortable. It was just before 5pm and we asked if we could wine taste. We were told no, which was fine, but she gave a reason as needing to prepare for a group that ended up being kids. And she had plenty of time to chat with other tables. The hostess then sat at a table and drank with someone while we ate dinner. We were seated and when the server came by she asked if we knew what we wanted or had any questions. We weren't ready. She didn't come back for awhile and never told us anything about the menu or the wine. When the wine flights came out the quantity was visibly different between the two flights. And, it was just okay wine. The pork shank was under-seasoned and the salad came undressed. My husband described the pork as a white bean soup without the broth. The salad just wasn't good. They need to learn how to season the food or put salt and pepper on the table. Before entering the establishment we had started to make plans for return visits that would involve wine tasting at the nearby wineries. Now, we see no reason to drive back to Prosser. read more

We came yesterday around 6pm with a child (a well behaved 5 year old who has eaten at hundreds of restaurants around the world in her 5 years of life), and the hostess literally said, "this is fine dining, we don't have anything for kids." My partner then asked if we can have take-out and she said she needed to talk to her manager. She came back and very rudely said we can "buy ourselves pizza if we want something". We walked away but I have to say this experience was like a scene in a movie and we will never come back. This is not a bar nor a place where children are not allowed, they were not busy at the time, and we have eaten here - with the same child a year ago. So if you have a kid, this "fine dining" of Prosser may be too fine to serve you now...Laughable. read more

One of my favorite places of all time. Food is always, I repeat, ALWAYS fantastic. Also, with an ever changing menu this place will never get old. With the Bunnell wins as pairing, its also hard to go wrong. Of my favorite wines of all time, this small winery has 6 of my top 10. My reviews usually focus on food, but I want to take an an additional moment to talk about atmosphere and service. Wine O clock has that great and impossible to find mix of casual and fancy. Its the sort of place where you can feel classy but not pretentious or stuffy. The staff clearly is trained at a fine dining level, and the restaurant is clean, organized and well decorated, but it still has that feeling of relaxing in someones kitchen. We have been here twice already since we moved to Tri-Cities, and it is the best restaurant and dining experience anywhere around. They serve a rotating menu of artisan foods (yes I know, a novel concept for this area), with some truly wonderful Chef's Specials (see their Facebook page for all up to date information. They feature wines from the Bunnell Family Cellar (who at times use grapes from the esteemed Boushey Vineyards) as well as RiverAerie. The owners and staff are very sweet, making the place that much more special. We love supporting the independent businesses (coming from the mecca of home-growns in Portland), and Wine O'Clock always makes us happy! The restaurant is small and quaint (includes a lovely fireplace in the dining area), with plenty of tables to accommodate different group sizes. They also have some great counter seating where you can watch the cooking in action. It is decorated in a classic style with an extremely homey feeling. You can do a tasting and have lighter fare menu from 12-5pm M-Th (tasting is free if you are scheduled for dinner), or come for the regular menu Fr-Sun 12-8pm. We are totally smitten by the pizzas here, and admittedly have not tried other entrée dishes! The pizzas are just too good to pass up. Salumi from Seattle is our favorite, so we were so excited to see it on the menu here (both on pizza and charcuterie)! We also always get the Chef's Special pizza, as well as the Chef's Special appetizer. Their selections have never let us down. The pizzas are hand-crafted and are works of art, with a crust that is on the thinner side, served crispy, and topped with only the freshest ingredients. I can specifically recommend the charcuterie plate, it is dynamite. My only wish is that they were open later...it is tough to get done working and make it for dinner and be out by 8pm. As a side note, we'll be joining the Bunnell wine club at our next visit. After doing our research at local wineries, they have a solid selection of wines that we would be looking forward to receiving. Also, now open to all is their "Supper Club," check it out on their Facebook page. Maybe we'll see you there in May! This place could rival some of our favorites in Portland, and for this area is quite literally "as good as it gets." Solid 5 stars from me, and I can't wait to return. read more

Wow! This place is gorgeous, with a creative and DELICIOUS menu and is very reasonably priced. We went about four or five months ago in the summer but I can still remember most of the details of our meal because it really stood out. This restaurant building is surrounded by raised beds and you can smell the fresh herbs and veggies as you approach. As we came to the door the restaurant owner warmly welcomed us in and told us a little bit about the space and the winery she owns with her husband. We started with the watermelon jalapeno gazpacho. The soup had a really amazing texture and crisp flavor, perfect for a hot summer day. Then we had a charred salad with pine nuts and shaved parmesan. The salad greens were cooked in the wood-fire oven and the greens nuts and cheese were all warmed. Really great flavor combination. We finished with a pizza, also with pine nuts and prosciutto. Delightful thin crust with just the right ratio of sauce to toppings. We did a flight of the white wines. The winery makes Rhone style wines, so they were mostly dry whites. I think the flight was between $7-$9 and the pours were on the heavy side. If you want to have more wine before or after eating (or both before and after), there are several (15+) other winery tasting rooms that are a few steps away. I brought my sister and aunt here for my a birthday lunch for my aunt. I found it on Yelp. We had a my sister's 14 mos. old son with us, and even though he was curious, he's very well-behaved. Even so, I say it's not a place for kids. It's a very relaxing place with a wonderful open kitchen and friendly staff. A black and white Julia Child video played on a big screen TV, and I especially enjoyed this! We had a wine and cheese pairing with breads, and shared the pear bacon pizza. All really good. We got a kick out of watching Julia Child cooking poultry (not the most appetizing, but whatever, it was very entertaining.) It's a gem of a find, located on the outskirts of Prosser which is not the most sophisticated place on the planet. There's plenty of parking, and I think in the spring the garden out front must be gorgeous with fresh lavender. We were there around Christmas time. I enjoy fine dining, and going to places that pace the meal well. It takes a special server to get that. I'm sort of European like that. I believe if you're going to drop $100+ on lunch you should really enjoy your friends and family and their conversation. So often, servers rush out the drinks and apps and entrees, so there's all this food getting cold and you can't enjoy it. It's not like that here. There wasn't much overlap to rush us. I think this is the mark of fine dining. Afterall, quality servers will earn the same tips if they are polite and conscientious of the people they are serving. I think this place does a great job training their people. Anyone who has visited the great metropolis of Prosser knows: There's not a ton of culture. I really really like this place. It is a nice treat after all the chains in Tri-Cities. The setting is unique - almost like having a meal in someone's fancy kitchen at home. Everything is one large yet cozy room. There are only 8 or 9 tables in the main room but lots of outdoor seating. The menu is small but delicious, lots of seasonal choices. We began our meal with grilled asparagus and a meat-and-cheese plate. It was awesome! For dinner, I had the pear and bacon pizza with a flight of wine wines. They have a large pizza oven that makes these extra delicious. My mom had the lamb with roasted vegetables that she very much enjoyed. We finished with some chocolate cake and a creme brulee. I finally felt like I was getting some local flavor since moving to the area. As the weather warms, I look forward to going back for some wine and cheese on the patio. read more
