Some of the June wine offerings.

Longship Cellars, delivers on wonderful wines, superb service, and deliciously fresh bites to eat. I ordered a three wine tasting. My favorite wine was the effervescent Harvest Rose' and to eat, the warm brie with seasonal berries and a crusty baked bread. We also shared a flatbread and hummus plate at our table of 3 and were pretty filled by the end of our visit. We sat at a table inside, and it was pretty busy for a Thursday night in June. Afterwards, we walked over to the Bradley for a cocktail to end the night.

We had to get some wine while in eastern Washington, which is where the best wine comes from, duh! And Longship Cellars is a great place for a tasting in Richland. We had a great time here and felt like we were among the locals. Longship Cellars is located in the downtown area of Richland and was walking distance to where we were staying, so decided to check it out. We were happy to learn that they had an outdoor area that's dog-friendly and it's a winery that doesn't have a tasting room in Woodinville as we wanted to explore wines that we can't easily get on the west side. When we visited on a Saturday night, the place was busy. Fortunately, even though we didn't have a reservation, we were able to get a table out on the patio and then the entire place filled. Longship Cellars is the place to be at on a Saturday night in Richland! There are three different flight tastings and we tried the red one since I don't like white wines. There were no bad red wines here, even the red table wine had a good kick to it with how it's blended. I like more bold, savory red wines and Longship Cellars has a great collection of just that. I was happily impressed. We ended up taking a bottle of their petite sirah, Once is Enough, which I recommend for anyone who enjoys a strong, red wine. Service was fantastic as our server was super friendly and although she was busy with the rush of customers, she checked in with us throughout our time here. In addition to wine, they offer food, such as flatbreads, cheese plates, and they have a wine pairing with truffles. Yum! It was nice to discover a new winery and enjoy a night out in Richland.

I had such a fun time at longship. I was only in town for a few days and this was a pleasant experience. I have never heard of this winery before and it was fun to hear about their theme of Viking names for their wines. The Malbec and cinsault were amazing. I brought some home with me! I work in the industry and I am excited to spread the word in the Seattle area about this winery!

Great atmosphere, great food, great wine. Really enjoyed our time at Longship Cellars. We ordered two flights and some pita with goat cheese. All the wines were really tasty and the food was above our expectations. Definitely recommend.

Nice little winery in a shopping area that also has some bites to eat. Although they typically stop doing tastings around 4:45, they served us two when we arrived closer to 5:30 or six which was super nice of them. The berry baked brie was delicious and the inside was a cute space. Thumbs up!

    Delicious yum!

Pro tip: drop off your pre teens at the movies and come here. Super comfy setting and fun wine tastings. We got a white and red tasting. Ended up splitting a bottle of Rosé which isn't like us since we stick to red wine. Didn't order food since we had dinner plans with said kids but it looked and smelled AMAZING. Friendly people, good wine and a superior comfy atmosphere. Forgot the music was on point

Enjoying a quick taste before heading home with a bottle for dinner! What to choose? Hummmm!

Winery was modern upbeat and full of clients! I bought a Rose'. They are expanding their tasting room adding comfy chairs. Should be nice when they finish. Close to hotels, dining and river walk as well.

Love this little winery. Winemakers Cassie and Kyle are lovely (parents too) and I like what they are doing. Lovely Chardonnay and oh the reds! Majik, Invader, GingerMan some lovely couples wines. Now in restricted Covid circumstances they have their Outdoor patio set up and wine flights with a view of the Columbia, some flatbread- lovely!!

Definitely an up-and-coming winery to explore if they come to your town for a tasting, and worth a trip to Tri-Cities too! I expected to like their 2016 "Ginger Man" Syrah and 2016 "Invader" Tempranillo, because those are two of my favorite varietals, but the surprise was that I loved their 2017 "Steel Dragon" Riesling, as that is one I rarely choose. Owner Ryan noted that was a common reaction from people with my palate. Looking forward to seeing more from this team!

    Wine tasting

I went this place for wine tasting. The selections for wine tasting was nice, and I loved the side dishes! I ordered baked brie, and that one was super good. I definitely wish to visit here again.

Located on the first floor of the Lodge at Columbia Point - right off the lobby and facing the…read moreparking lot - with an understated and "ahhh..."-some relaxing vibe this is a good place to start, finish or be your evening. In the three nights we were guests at the Lodge we visited Vine every night. That was a result of the friendly welcome the bartender, Paige, gave us on the evening of our arrival plus the fantastic cocktails she mixed that we took out to sip in front of the fire in the Lodge's "living room" while we waited on our reservations for dinner at Drumheller's upstairs. On the second night we stopped in Vine to get glasses of wine to enjoy in our room after a long day of exploring the area and dinner out. And on the third evening it felt like 'coming home' to enjoy Vine for a couple of delicious cocktails along with good eats from a small bar-plates menu to share as dinner with Dustin providing great service to take orders and deliver the food as prepared by Drumheller's upstairs. (As "PS", the Drumheller's full dinner menu can also be used in the Vine bar.) When we were tallying up "favorite things" from the trip, both my husband and I had Vine on the top-5 list. (The others? Tasting at Kiona winery when founder John Williams popped in and we had a chance to say "thank you, sir" to this now octogenarian who put Red Hills AVA on the map, the hospitality of all the Lodge staff, walking the paved river trail accessed right outside the lodge back patio, and our 'welcome to town' lunch at Dovetail Joint.) Paige's hospitality and mixology skills made us fans of Vine but also the overall "exhale" ambiance. Nicely bright in early evening from big glass doors at front, dimly lit at night but not dark, standard height tables that work for everyone (including me as I have MS and cannot boost myself onto high stools) with plenty of 'elbow room' around them as well as seats at the bar for people who choose to sit there - like the nice guy we met on our first night who said he comes to Vine when in town on business to enjoy wine from the interesting by glass selection. It looks like they have table seating on a small outdoor patio in front - right off the parking lot - in warm weather months. This is not the frantic, sardine-can-tight, booming sound, high-density high stool tables of other venues of which there are many in the area. This is the harder to find gem of "all are welcome here" setting to take a breath and have conversations with your companions - as some were - or be comfortable as a solo guest working on something as you sip and dine - as we noted others were on all nights. In addition to serving Vine customers, Paige is pouring wine and mixing cocktails for the guests dining at Drumheller's upstairs as servers send down orders and them down to Vine to pick them up to take them back...so she is making it look pretty effortless to handle the dining room too that "Vine alone" guests don't necessarily know are also being served via this bar. PRODUCT: Great craft cocktails for standards or from a specialty menu. An array of spirits that include some from NW distilleries that are likely new to you and about which Paige knows a lot. I note in some Drumheller reviews folks mentioned disappointment that their fav (inevitably described by them as 'top shelf') liquor wasn't available to use in their fav cocktail. The same happened to me for a gin drink and I let Paige be my guide for the local distiller options and the outcome was luscious. If you're looking for wine, the selection here by glass and bottle is excellent and Paige can answer your questions about them and make recommendations. Ditto for the beer offerings. OPEN TO ALL: If you're not a guest at the hotel, you can still visit and enjoy Vine. But we sure did appreciate it was such a 'short commute' from Vine to our room upstairs as guests of the Lodge. PARKING: Ample amount in private lot. ACCESSIBILITY: Standard height table seating, ample clear floor space, three accessible (and gender neutral) loos right off lobby. HH: Some discount on libations and small plates menu from 4:00 (opening) - 5:30 and again from 9:00 - 10:00. TIP: If the gochujang glazed cauliflower is on the small plates / bar menu when you visit, order that dish. And also try Paige's new and luscious "Cold Brew" cocktail. You're welcome! ;-)

We had a reservation, and they had our table ready the moment we walked in -- comfortable, well-placed, and perfect for conversation. The staff here deserves a shoutout. Friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful when it came to picking drinks and explaining the menu without rushing us. They gave us that perfect balance of attention and space. First up: the chicken tortilla soup. This thing was flavorful, comforting, and packed with that slow-cooked, homemade taste. Honestly, it was delicious as-is, but a couple slices of avocado would seriously take it to the next level. Still -- a great start. Now the paella... WOW. A good size portion, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The rice was cooked perfectly -- not mushy, not dry -- and honestly better than what I've had at a lot of dedicated Spanish restaurants. The mix of seafood and chicken was generous, the seasoning was bright and warm, and every bite hit exactly how paella should. It was the star of the night. We paired everything with sangrias, and they were fantastic -- refreshing, not overly sweet, and just the right complement to the meal. The berry sangria especially worked ridiculously well with the paella. Overall, Tagaris gave us a solid, memorable dinner. Great service, great food, cozy atmosphere, and everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully made. Definitely a place we'll be returning to.
