Came here for lunch and was pleasantly surprised with how amazing the food is! We started out with prosciutto and focaccia with olive oil. I didn't try the prosciutto but the focaccia was the best I've ever had! So pillowy and yummy with a hint of salt. I wasn't that impressed with the gnocchi, it might have been better if accompanied by a dipping sauce. I also loved the calamari - so fresh! The pizza was the best part of the whole meal, they give you scissors to cut it with, and that was a fun hands on experience. It was absolutely delicious. I can't wait to come back! read more

Never ever again. Food: 2 out of 5. A citrus salad that had 1% vegetables and the rest was orange. Very thick pizza. Very thick. And taste was just meh. Octopus was ok but so small. Service: 1 out of 5 Our friends had eaten half of their entree almost and we still didn't have our one pizza. After having ordered it one hour before. We thought they had forgotten bc they never came to say anything and we thought "that's ok we can get by with the appetizers" and since they'd been meh, we didn't ask. Suddenly it shows up. Our friends were done with their food and we were going to start with ours. One single Margheritta. The simplest pizza ever. And they took forever to cook it and they never came to say anything. And guess what. The host came and said "I heard your food was delayed so we will give you one dessert for the table for free. But we don't have this or this or that". Guess what Mr Host: after waiting forever for food people lose their appetite. We got a tiramisu for free which we barely ate. Price: 1 out of 5 They charge 20% of gratuity and I don't know where they display that bc I never saw it anywhere. Shocking that you have to pay 20% for bad service and regular food. That's why I will never ever come again and what I will tell my awful experience to every one of my friends. Pizza was pretty good but the toppings options were pretty standard (pepperoni, sausage, etc). It was a rainy December Friday night in Seattle. Imagine that, so it was perfect.The Center of the city was empty and the inside parking was free and we had a 8:15 PM reservation. WG is located on the ground floor of one of the Amazon Spheres and as such it is a stunning minimalist space that curves around the inside. Our wet coats were taken and our party of 5 was quickly seated. We began our evening with cocktails and appetizers that were both tasty and a bit pricy even for city center dining. Cacio w Collins Honey crostini came with two small slices of the cheese and maybe a tablespoon of honey at $12.00. Pacific octopus w/ roasted fennel and anchovy came with a price tag of $20.00. Both of these appetizers were very tasty but they both deserved either a larger portion or a more reasonable price. The roasted beets w/ creme fraiche and the Gnocchi w/ pecorino both were very tasty and priced more in line for what we expected. Now for the real reason to come to WG and that was the main course, Pizza. One large Chanterelle Pizza and one crispy Pepperoni Pizza were everything you would expect from a top notch Pizza kitchen and the Pepperoni was cooked to a prefect crispy crunch. These thick pies are served on wood cutting boards and you are given a pair of scissors to cut whatever size piece of pie yours eyes desire. Overall the service was friendly and attentive the space is unique and visually exciting. The food was all very tasty. My recommendation would be to come for the Pizza which is very good and pass on the pricey appetizers. In fact that is what we will do next time we are in Seattle. read more

We went for the Valentine's day dinner. Though a lot of people were expected there were very few who turned up. He called a lot of times to confirm the booking and was very accomodating to fit us at 7 pm. But when we came in, he did not offer us a seat though the seats were full and they said they expected some people. If they did, then why didn't they let us sit? The food was average. But I liked the pecorino and calabrian chilli fritti. The potions were small and the cost was $12. We ate mushroom pizza which was very tasty but I didn't like the hint of lemon. I saw this place when it opened and immediately assumed that it must be bad because it's in a high-traffic area that everyone wants to visit (and therefore would not have to work hard to attract customers). How wrong I was (and I'm happy to admit that)! First off, this cute little pizza and small plates (among other things) place is in a great location in the downtown Amazon Dome. It really takes advantage of the architecture the dome already pre-provides: the restaurant is round, with floor to ceiling domed windows, and a view of the outdoor seating and downtown office area. But there's plenty of room for that sweet and sophisticated Renee Erickson ambiance: fresh flowers, quirk, marble, and mint details. I was pleasantly surprised the pizza is to die for! It's deep dish (in case you were hoping for the thin crust kind popular throughout Seattle), but that's part of its charm: You cut it with scissors. The dough is divine, being made from some kind of sourdough bread starter (I think?). Anyway, you must try it yourself -- It's truly original. Their shrub sodas are also delicious. I tried both flavors, but (personal preference) was more drawn to the cucumber one which was on the tart and "pickle-y" tasting side. If you love Renee Erickson's style, pizza, love a gimmick (in a good way) of saying you ate in the Domes, or all of the above, you must try this place. All-in-all, we will be back. read more

Willmott's Ghost is a great concept, in reality however it misses the mark. My brother and I looked to make a reservation here and it was wide open, so we chose to risk it for a table without a reservation on a Sunday night. We showed up and the place was empty except for two tables. They asked if we had a reservation which we said no, and they were only able to seat us at the bar. We looked around at the entire restaurant with open tables but they refused to let us take a table. We ordered salad, burrata, drinks, and a pizza to share. The salad was delicious and had a great dressing. The bartender failed to tell us that the burrata did not come with bread until after it arrived, so we had to order focaccia at that point which they bake from scratch so it took another 20 minutes to arrive. It was worth the wait because it was delicious, but it seemed like something they would want to mention at the time a customer orders the burrata. The pizza was good, it was unique that you had to cut your own piece but it was fun at the same time. By the time we were done with our two hour meal, there were multiple tables that were still available and we could have sat at. Not allowing us to sit at a table felt like a strange choice since the restaurant was empty the entire night. The atmosphere was pretty, and very aesthetically pleasing. I would probably go back to see if the service changed at all, but it seemed like a mismatch from the image they are presenting. read more

We came to Willmot's ghost with high expectations. Our family is a fan of Renee Erickson's cuisine, particularly " The Walrus & The Carpenter" and "The Whale Wins". I also love me my "General Porpoise". That being said, Willmott's was a rather large let down. While it was not bad, the best description I have is "Boredinary".....The wait staff, while pleasant, was seemingly uninterested in our wellbeing. They were not harsh, just distant and distracted, seemingly content to know that their 20% tip is automatically included with the bill. One of the main chefs was fraternizing with a friend during the entire time that we were at the restaurant (about an hour), and I am not sure how clearly she was attending to the dishes in the oven. Further, having a chef distracted from prep/oven oversight for nearly our entire one hour visit did not provide a sense of confidence in how the kitchen was functioning. I will say - food delivery was prompt. Yet, the preparations were again...underwhelming....the cheese and fig plate was drowned out by the olive oil that was smothered upon it. The presentation of this dish was somewhat bland (see pics). The fried gnocchi was actually quite good, crisp, with a soft, inviting center. We ordered the Chicken under a brick (which was literally hiding under a pile of arugula and sesame seed with a light vinaigrette, and I am not sure I found the green tomatoes (see pic), and this presentation was somewhat comical. For a $30 chicken dish, I'm not sure where the price was justified. The mussels were basically presented with a marinara sauce, and while the shells were sprinkled with a spiced breading of sorts, the best part (to me) was the bread that accompanied this dish. We concluded with the Sausage Pizza. While I actually liked this dish, my wife felt that it reminded her too much of the microwave "Red Baron" pizza brand, with an added, somewhat heavy handed flare of lemon zest...I thought it was solid, if not unremarkable, but for $23, I would have found a better value elsewhere. We passed on dessert, due to our general disappointment.... Other impressions 1) The restaurant (or at least our spot, near the oven), was not well ventilated. Our eyes were watering by the end of the meal, and my 11 year old, who normally does not complain, was heading firmly into her tweens by the end of the meal due to the annoyance of irritated eyes.... 2) Salt level: The general amount of salt applied to the dishes seemed too much. I'd recommend that this be scaled back, with an option to add if people wish 3) Setting: The spheres are interesting, but somewhat austere. I thought, overall, that the setting was pleasant enough to view and take in, but the general atmosphere was a bit sterile and unwelcoming, like much of the experience. Parking's also a pain in this area, but we were able to find some on the street after a bit of searching...not a big deal at all, for being downtown, but I can imagine there may be times where parking is nearly impossible I started this review in stating that I/we are a fan of Renee Erickson's restaurants, but Willmott's Ghost falls flat, and short of her great aspirations. Something about the name engenders a melancholy about the place that permeates its soul, our lack thereof. I hope, for everyone's sake, that there is a brighter future ahead for this place, but as Ms. Erickson's dining empire expands, there will certainly be misfires and wrong turns....this one might be one of them. read more

This place is decent. Aside from their cool location (inside of the Amazon Sphere), their menu wasn't super expansive and their HH is just okay. HH was 1/2 off on 4 appetizers and $15 for the pepperoni pizza. It's also a bit more on the pricey side and for the food they served - it wasn't entirely worth it. Not to mention, our waiter wasn't very attentive. We had to ask him for a refill on water and crostini a couple of times before he remembered. He also forgot to ring in the focaccia bread so when we got our burrata, we didn't get a chance to eat it with the bread. He also cleared our calamari without asking if we were done with it and did not pick up our dirty plates. The host was much friendlier and attentive IMO. Also note there is a 20% gratuity charge and the gratuity charge is added to the total... so they TAX you more off your total bill. I have never experienced the gratuity charge being a part of the total at any other establishment.. so this was indeed strange. Personally - I would have not mind paying the 20% gratuity if A) service was better B) the food was better. My friends and I ordered a wide selection of food - focaccia, burrata, chicken liver pate, gnocchi fritti, calamari, scallop crudo, penn cove mussels, Salish Sea halibut, the Lumni Island flash fried shrimp, and the pepperoni pizza. What I liked: Pepperoni pizza, focaccia, burrata (although nothing spectacular or out of the ordinary), squid, scallop crudo, and the Salish Sea halibut. Everything else was just sub par. The gnocchi in particular was a complete waste of money. It was just overly salty, lacked flavor and was dumped in Parmesan. Most likely will not be making a return. read more

I'm giving this 5 stars because of the pepperoni pizza + decor. It's in the Spheres so that's a thing. The decor is magazine-worthy, and you can get some good IG moments here. You can make reservations on OpenTable, so that's convenient. So yeah. That's enough for 5 stars. The people who work here are, like, *cool*. But to the guy's credit, we asked for wine recommendations to pair with the pizza, and he was knowledgable about their wines and gave a great recommendation. We ordered burrata and focaccia to start. After a few moments the guy came back saying that they were out of burrata. We got there right when they opened. So that was whatever. We still got the focaccia and it was good. And with the burrata, I'm pretty sure it would have been amazing. The pizza was perfection. I think it's called Sicilian style? The pepperoni was on point. So so good. They serve it traditionally where it isn't cut. And they give you scissors to cut it. So if you're trying to look cute on a date or something, be prepared to deal with that. We ordered the pistachio ice cream with biscotti even though we were pretty full, and it was definitely not a mistake. I'll definitely be back. read more

Overview: Came here for lunch during the weekday. Even though we made reservations ahead of time, it wasn't needed since there was only 3 other couples there. The place has nice decor and the natural light coming through the clear spheres definitely adds to the ambiance. The staff was friendly! Food: The lunch menu was pretty limited, 5-6 pizza options, 2 panini, and a few antipasta. We all ordered different slices of pizza and you can order by slices or whole pizzas - note that whole pizzas take up to 15 minutes to prepare. I ordered a couple of slices of pizza with the pork sausage and it was good but I wasn't super impressed, especially compared to some other pizza shops in the area. I would recommend coming here for some drinks and to nibble on some shared plates but I wouldn't recommend coming here for a full lunch. I do plan on coming back to try the dinner menu though! read more

Came here for lunch, and we were able to sit outside. It's right near the Amazon spheres so the environment is pretty neat. We ordered pizza, and while it's very good, a $20 pizza serves 1.5 people. The building itself is an eye catcher, as it's a sphere with a rainforest garden in the upper floors, so it draws you in if not just out of sheer curiosity. The sign in the door is so nice in today's toxic climates, informing patrons that they welcome EVERYONE!! We stopped in for desert and coffee and what a gem we found!! 1st, the smell hits you when the door opens, calling you to come try!! The pizza coming continuously out if the oven looked amazing, but we had just eaten and couldn't indulge. Then there's the fresh focaccia bread loaf that's sitting in the display case, that you can't help but want to try. At $6 a loaf you have to at the least take a loaf home, it was SOOOO worth it! I'm just sorry I don't live there. We didn't cut ours until the next day after a red eye flight and it was AMAZINGLY still soft and fresh!! I ordered the pistachio ice cream and it was great!! The wild berry crostata was so good, we had to order another one to split, as all three of us fell in love with this surprisingly tasty dish. The berries weren't too tart or sweet, but just right!! Watching the mixologist prepare drinks was a delight in and of itself, but we will have to try the beverages another time, as we all ordered americano coffee, and were not disappointed! The coffee was piping hot, even after adding the cool cream, and remained hot for a good deal of time. Talk about doing coffee right, this place has it down to a science! The dinner menu was mouth watering and I'm so sorry we didn't venture here first, but we will next time! The staff was so pleasant, patient and friendly, I'd return just to talk with them! Great ambiance, most of the staff were great to us, except for a gentleman with a mullet and glasses (didn't get his name). He was unfortunately was our sever. We landed at this restaurant because we wanted to visit the sphere, but it closed for the day. So we came to Willmostt's Ghost to grab a bite. Once our server came to introduce himself, you can could tell he was disinterested in serving our group. As we placed our orders, he forgot to enter our appetizer, which we let him know. We got no apology as he just walked away to put in the order that he forgot. He seemed more annoyed. As most of our group got our entrees, someone is our party never got their food(clams). So we alerted the very friendly host, she was very apologetic and actually comped the dish. So were definitely appreciative of it. After the second boo boo he made, he completely stopped checking on our table, which led me not to wanting to tip at all but couldn't do that because of the other friendly employees. The reviews are mixed mostly because of impatient Amazon workers at lunch and I do agree with the hate of the auto 20% gratuity especially if you are taking out. The food and drinks are really good. The Calamari was better than any place I can think of with extra crunchy tentacles and good batter. The bean toast was weird but tasty and the pizza was very solid with the authentic Roman scissors to cut into it. The Brussel sprouts were the only disappointment with only 30% Sprouts and 70% potatoes. I also had a Rye cocktail that was very balanced and I am excited to try the rest. read more

No idea how this place will stay in business. The servers were rude. You order at the counter, grab your own water and they charge you 20% service fee. There is no signage to tell you that they charge you that, and they don't break out the service charge on your receipt. The only way I caught it was because the price of my panini on the receipt was much higher than listed on the menu. I suggested they break out the service charge for visibility and I got back a "ya I'll get right on that" nice sarcastic response. The place was extremely slow for what little service they even provide for that 20% and the prices are ridiculous for what you get. $16 for a panini and $27 for a salad. One and done. I won't be back. Only reason it didn't get one star is because it was an easy walk. Don't bother. read more

This was my first indoor restaurant dining experience in over a year, and it couldn't have gone better. We were safely seated far away from other diners, who left shortly after we sat down, leaving us in our own restaurant. Our server, Tessa, gave us complimentary glasses of sparkling rose due to the wait, which wasn't long at all. Since we like everything Renee Erickson does, we asked Tessa to choose from the menu for us. It started with the focaccia -- an amazingly delicious treat, which felt indulgent. Next we had the "Kraken," a chicory salad, and a half potato half sausage pizza. All were perfection. Was by far my best meal in a year, in the prettiest place, with a sweet friend and a kind server. This place looks cool. It has that going for them. And it is unique and i can appreciate them trying something different. However, i didn't find the food all that great. Maybe it's not my favorite style of pizza, a little on the chewy side. The sauce was also a little too salty for my taste. It was all around just OK. I do take issue with the automatic 20% gratuity on take-out orders! For in-house dining I think putting the gratuity added-on makes sense and is becoming more standard in a lot of places. It is a policy that makes for a more consistent pay system for your employees, which in turn makes for more consistent service, etc. I think that's all fine if it is apparent to everyone that is what is happening. But automatic tipping on take out orders?!!! What is that? I'm being forced to pay the same service charge for a fraction of the service. Not cool. read more

I will assume the people that gave this place 5 stars are family or friends of people who work here. Either that or they are really into interior design since that is the only thing this place has going for it. But at the end of the day people go to restaurants to eat and the food here is not good at all. My first issue with this place is that it's labeled an "Italian" restaurant but has no pasta or real Italian dishes. Then I thought it was maybe a pizza place... but they actually have a pizza with no cheese, no sauce and no toppings... this is not pizza, this is bread. It feels like they were never able to decide what type of restaurant they wanted to be. If its supposed to be a pizza place, there are a lot of way better and cheaper places just walking distance from this one. read more

Finally get to try this place - what a gem! You enter towards the back of spheres and you are almost transformed to an Alice in wonderland meets.... Princi? Anyways, it is a charming little place and I recommend making a reservation because during lunch or dinner hour it does get pretty busy! We had 4 slices of the pizzas and share between the two of us and it was definitely enough food - perhaps next time we would do salad to share and two slices of pizzas. The check (with 20% service charge already included) was barely 30 bucks so I am happy that it is quite affordable especially for a lunch. The pizzas are roman style as other yelpers mentioned so more on the thick chewy side of the dough spectrum, which is filling! I definitely will come back for drinks and snacks next time. Wow just wow, we ate at three other restaurants before stopping here for a drink and ended up ordering more food and we were blown away. The chicken liver pate was so soft and creamy paired very well with the crunchy toastinis. It had the right amount of salty flavor, we couldn't get enough of it. We also ordered the pepperoni pizza and it had the crunchy ones I really liked. The bartender Breck was awesome very entertaining and easy to talk to.
