We started coming for breakfast and had a good experience. Then, one day we came for lunch. I had their ruben sandwich and when it came out it was soggy and fell apart. I've never had to eat a ruben with a fork before. I would expect a restaurant to take pride in every meal they prepared. Much to our dismay, this was not the case with Wild Berry Diner. We will never be back. read more

Great food and great service! Love the location in downtown Mesa. Definitely will bring the whole family back.

Amazing sliders! Delicious and fresh! Can't wait to try the French toast!

Home-style breakfast with very generous portions. Reasonably priced. And *so* good! We love the Eggs Benedict so much, we didn't order anything else for awhile. But when we did, we tried the waffles with fruit and whipped cream, and they were equally excellent. Then we tried the blueberry pancakes - same thing. Pretty sure that they make their own sausage patties, which are also excellent. Service is very attentive, even when they're busy. Our orders came out perfect every time, too. This is now our favorite Sunday breakfast place! read more

This is a diamond in the desert. For those of you looking for a diner, you have found it. It might not have the 34 page menu, but the items they do have are amazing! I had the skillet the first time and couldn't finish it all. The next time I had the Greek burger. The patties are handmade and delicious! My family had the pancakes. They are huge, light, fluffy, and so tasty. Everything is great there especially the amazing servers and welcoming owner Christina! We will be coming back many times. read more

Great Find! I was stranded in Mesa during a car repair. The shop recommended this place and they were spot on! This is a no frills, home style diner. The staff is very diverse and everyone is making a living and trying to have some fun at the same time! read more

The senior breakfast is treat and also try the Yannie omelet, delicious. Carrie is friendly and helpful. Always busy so don't worry if you have to wait a few minutes to be seated, the wait is worth it. read more

Food is good, service is good too. However, I'm giving one star due to the atmosphere. Religious music playing, dark, dingy inside and patrons allowed to bring non service animal in WITH a pillow to lay on. Pretty disgusting. Overall impression not good unless you are one of the regulars who enjoys the religious music and churchy overtones. read more

This place feels just like home. Food is so great. Cheap prices for the quantity and quality. Service is great, I would so recommend this place to anyone and everyone. read more

We're visiting from California decided to try this restaurant out and glad we did the food was delicious fresh and the staff was very nice and great all around service will definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone read more

We ordered take out. We live across the street. By time we got home food was COLD. The meat loaf and potatoes were drenched in salty gravy. The meat loaf was not your typical meatloaf but more like a processed frozen TV dinner. We also got Ceasar salad The lettuce was more on the wilty side. Big disappointment. read more

Only been their for breakfast and it was great. Old town sitting alot of locals. A great place to have a home town breakfast.

The place was packed so the service was a little slow for a typical breakfast diner. Food was average greasy spoon fare with not a lot of highlights to write home about. Decent selection with discounts for people over 60. read more

My wife, kid and I on a whim embarked on a trip to Mesa for V-Day. Knowing well that most of the restaurants at Superstition Springs would be booked to the hilt for dinner, we ventured down Main Street instead and found this gem. They welcomed us with open arms, and fawned over our little girl. Although we had never been in this restaurant in our lives, we instantly felt treated like family when we walked in the door.. Not only that, they had a live accordion! It was a ton of fun. read more

Eh...it wasn't as good as what the reviews said. My Denver omelette was a little over cooked, kinda tough bland eggs. Hash browns were not homemade, I think it was frozen potatoes. However my husband dish looked good and he said it was good. Don't think I'd return. Cute and clean dining area though. read more

Not the closest diner to where we're staying in Mesa, but it is the BETTER diner. Yummy homestyle food with a varied menu. The service was also fast, and staff friendly. Definitely coming back! read more

Wild Berry Diner - Entryway - Diners Near Me - Mesa, Arizona

I came here for biscuits and gravy at a friends suggestion. The service was great, but the biscuits were just ok. They were rather large biscuits, and kind of dense. The gravy was bland and didn't have a lot of sausage in it. A couple shots of Tabasco took care of the blandness. I read the menu and decided I would come back for an omelet or an evening entre. read more

This is one of the most wonderful experiences I have had with my family, especially on such a busy morning like easter. The food is delicious, and the portion size is great, so be careful! lol. With her amazing cooking skills and amazing staff especially her sister Michelle who brings a greeting when you enter that you will not forget! Love the soup appetizer.. delicious!! I was concerned about my AARP card ofr lack there of, but then remembered it was only 6 and the dinner crowd is made of all types. I believe this spot is located in the center of RV mecca Mesa, beautiful or not its not a late dinner crowd if you catch my drift. HOWEVER!! The staff is more than friendly and welcoming. The food is good and priced very VERY wel.. I love that they still have blue plate specials and menu boards complete with desserts in the cold case at the front door. Local mom and pop would be all encompassing, however located on a dark poorly lit road, this place would scare me... good thing its got good location and obviously local patrons. . good choice! CANT WAIT to try breakfast, which BTW is served all day. . read more

We eat at the diner at least 3 times a week and usually order from the breakfast menu. We've never had a bad experience. The reasonably priced food is always good. I love the french toast...because it's the way I like it. Not a ton of sugary sweetness! You could 't find a better staff, even if you tried. Most of servers have been there forever and are wonderful people. I obviously love the place and the people and Christina is doing a great job of remodeling and redecorating the place. It's well worth giving it a try. read more

Came in for a quick bite due to appointments we only had 30 minutes... Asked of it was a possibility and they welcomed the three of us with open arms! We ordered three different breakfast options...all delicious mmmm the sausage links were so good and their breakfast red potatoes mmm mmm mmm. The lady running the host stand was hilarious and had us laughing so hard messing with our 14 year old son! Definitely recommend getting breakfast at the wild berry cafe! Reasonably priced, good food & great/fast service! Thank you wild berry cafe for the good food and service. read more

This is a fun Mesa Diner. It is a Greek Diner and everything that comes with it. One thing that was a little weird was the proprietor grabbed my wife by the hand and led us to our table. Never had that happen before, and was a little off putting. The food was solid diner fare. My wife got a bbq sandwich that was chopped and had lots of fat in it, and her browns weren't that crispy. Our amazing waitress, Maureen, happily replaced my wife's order to her liking, and took terrific care of us. We'll be back! read more

The staff here is super friendly, the food is marvelous (and such huge portions), and the menu features a wide variety of dishes from various places in the world. The dessert case is full of really good stuff that's all made fresh! The price is hard to beat, too. Today I went here for breakfast and got a plate bigger than my head full of yummy food for just $4.99. For two people the bill was only about $10. read more

The best places are the old diners with history.... fresh food and quick service .... the prices are competitive and blue collar friendly.... nutritious menu .... great, crisp Greek salad...fresh cold lemon club soda... I've read the recent reviews that appear "subpar" ... but this was not my experience.. sorry for those who had a bad time . Ample parking and window tables are great locations if you can get one ... overall this is a place to repeat! read more

Have dined at Wild Berry many times and never was disappointed in the food. Went today and lousy cook. Ordered a chicken sandwich with teriyaki sauce. Got a bland piece of chicken (does he not understand what seasoning can do) with a glob of gooey teriyaki sauce spread on the bun. Bun became soggy and sauce was dripping out. My husband ordered chicken fried steak. Meat was again bland and gravey was lacking seasoning. They desperately need a new cook. Will not recommend this place again. read more

My family and I were looking for a place to eat and saw that this place had 4 and a 1/2 stars. They should have been 4 and a 1/2 falling stars. I've never had a worse pancake in my life and the biscuits and gravy were fresh out of a can. The biscuits could have been used as bricks to build the restaurant we were eating in. The French toast was horrible. The only people eating in here where geriatrics that knew no better. I didn't complain I just will never return as I could have eaten better at St. Vincent de Paul in the soup line. Save yourself some money and get the big breakfast at McDonald's, it'll be a 100% better and cheaper. We live in the county and will be feeding the pancakes, the biscuits and gravy, and the French toast to our wild bird population. Hopefully they won't die as then I would have issues with AZ Game and Fish. read more

I took my mom here for Mother's Day. They had an all you can eat buffet that was amazing, live classical guitar music, and they gave my Mom a white rose! It is a very cozy and homey atmosphere and the waitress was very friendly and attentive. Great experience! read more

This is not the 1st time I've eaten here which has always been very good. Yesterday my wife and I stopped in for an early dinner and my wife had the fish fry which she was very hay with but I on the other hand was very disappointed. I asked the waitress if the Gyros was cooked on-site on the spit and she said it's cooked in the kitchen. When delivered the pita was great the sauce had great taste but needed cucumber and please no lettuce. What was a shock was that the gyro meat came in 3pcs of paper thin square meat that did not come off a spit but was processed and tasteless. It's not what I'd ever expect from a restaurant with a Greek flag on the wall. I'm from Chicago and anywhere we go for gyros have never had a gyros with so little meat and NO taste. Lastly I asked the waitress if they had any baklava for desert and was surprised when she had never heard of it! I will still come back for breakfast but can only hope they improve. Also even though the waitress was not knowledgeable regarding Greek food we did have excellent service as we always do. read more

Love this place .. staff is awesome food is amazing truly my favorite diner in Mesa ..

The six of us had a really nice time at the Wild Berry. It is a Greek restaurant that also has basic American food on the complete menu. I had the Greek spaghetti with a mild sauce and a unique flavor. Some of the others had other Greek style dishes which I cannot remember how to spell! One had the senior turkey, mash potatoes and dressing. Alas, the gravy was too salty for her taste. It was a large portion for a Senior plate. The waitress, Michelle, was a delight but being from Boston still spoke "pretty good "English. She was very entertaining and kept our group laughing as she interacted with us. All in all it is one of our favorite restaurants especially for small parties who have different tastes. With the good prices to go along with everything else, you will not be disappointed. A good place. read more
