We live just a few blocks from this Grill and stopped in hoping to grab some late breakfast. Unfortunately we were too late for that, so we decided on lunch instead. Birdies is very easy to find, as it is right inside the gate of Fountain of the Sun. We told the security officer that we were checking out the restaurant and were issued a placard to leave on the dash of our car. It only allows admittance for that reason, so there is no opportunity to check out the community. The place was very quiet, but the longer we stayed, the more people came in. No masks are required, or worn by staff. More of a sense of "normal" which I personally appreciate. We both ordered a BLT with fries and a Mimosa, and also asked for some water. The Mimosas were brought out pretty much immediately, which was really nice. A few minutes later our lunch was served. Unfortunately, we never got the water that we asked for, but that is neither here nor there. Lunch was delicious, the staff is super friendly and the atmosphere is very pleasant. We will be back to give breakfast another try.

Great fun place with live music on weekends. Reasonable prices and good diner type food.

We used Birdies Bar and Grill, Fountain of the Sun, for all of the catering for recent our 60th Anniversary party. The food was perfect and so delicious. We had their homemade lasagna and chicken alfredo on Saturday night. And finger foods at our party on Sunday at the AC. Again delicious and the presentation was beautiful...complete with a watermelon carved with 60th. I highly recommend phoning them for your next party. They expertly planned everything..even the smallest of details.

Natalie never forgets a special occasion and because of that our Saturday lunch crew celebrates each of the regulars birthdays. In a world where we don't always feel seen or welcome, it's rare to find someone like her who makes you feel important and special. And as I said they have great food! I've never had a soup there I didn't love and their breadsticks are to die for. Highly recommend you visit...and if you are in East Mesa - become a regular too.

Before…read moreordering we asked the waitress if we did half cheese and half 4 topping pizza whether they would charge for half a cheese and half a 4 topping pizza price. She said she would adjust it because their system doesn't price it fairly when doing half and half. When the bill came it was an extra dollar than a 4 item pizza. I paid for the bill but wanted the waitress to know for feedback purposes and she had said she helped me out as normally doing half and half cost $10 more. I was shocked because again, half the pizza was plain cheese and we ended up paying more for this than a 4 item pizza! The pizza without tax and tip was $29.50... keep in mind a 4 topping pizza is $28.50. So be aware when ordering pizza from red white and brew that their ordering system for pizza overcharges and apparently if I hadn't mentioned anything before ordering it would have been over $1! And yes the picture with my review shows the half with cheese was larger and that's how it was in person too. The chicken Florentine was so delicious! I will definitely order this again. The side of sweet potato fries were perfect and delicious. The portion was enough for leftovers, so that's a plus. The complimentary bread is always delicious and so nice to have something to munch on while we wait for food, especially with kids. I normally would rate RWB a 5 star but due to the way they charge pizza, I have to take away a star for this visit.

First things first, it was hot in the restaurant, potentially the A/C was not working as well as it should have been or something, but it was not super comfortable. The service was good, I didn't get her name, a younger woman waited on me and she was very kind and did the best she could. The food came out super slow, I ordered empanadas to start, the waitress said they burned the first order (I appreciated that didn't just serve me overdone empanadas lol) once they finally arrived they were just unfortunately bland, and just kind of lacked authenticity. When she finally brought out my main dish, she even apologized for the wait and said "I had to go yell at them". For a main entree I ordered the French dip with onion rings, another reviewer mentioned they were the best they had had. The meat was kind of tough and dry (which is odd for a French Dip, and everything just lacked flavor. Even the au jus really had no kind of salt or much flavor to it. I really hoped after seeing how everyone else rated this place that I had found that little hole in the wall spot putting out killer food that we all long for, sadly this wasn't it.

But, my wife had fries that I could steal and I appreciate having a salad option. The little side salad had a nice bitterness complemented by the slight sourness of the dressing. The meat was flavorful and sliced perfectly while the bread was toasty enough to stay together long enough to hold in all that juiciness. Our server was attentive and friendly and I'll happily go back to try some menu staples ... unless the next special demands my attention like that Reuben did.

The queso was rich without being too heavy, and the mustard added a nice contrast. For my meal, I had the Caesar salad topped with a bistro steak cooked a perfect medium rare. The romaine was crisp, the garlic-anchovy dressing bold, and the garlic croutons and parmesan tied everything together. The steak was tender, flavorful, and elevated the salad. At the table, we also ordered the cheesesteak with Angus beef, roasted peppers and onions, Havarti cheese, and garlic aioli served on a baguette, with sweet potato fries. The sandwich was hearty and satisfying, and the fries were really good The wagyu burger was another standout--topped bacon, Gruyère and smoky blue cheese, caramelized onions, tomato jam, and garlic aioli on a pub bun. The beef and bacon were fabulous and the fries cooked to perfection Jake, our server, was terrific--attentive, friendly, and helped make the whole experience even better. We finished with the butterscotch bread pudding topped with vanilla gelato and caramel sauce, which was the perfect ending--warm, comforting, and just the right amount of sweetness Overall, a great patio dining experience with flavorful dishes, excellent service, and plenty of variety.

Since becoming vegetarian, I have still eaten at The Cheesecake Factory because I believed there were menu items I could safely enjoy. One of my absolute favorites has been the Sweet Corn Tamale Cakes. Unfortunately, I recently found out that the salsa verde served with it contains chicken stock. The green salsa is not vegetarian. The bigger issue is that apparently no one working there seemed to know this. We explicitly tell our servers that we are vegetarian, and yet the staff was not equipped to accurately answer basic ingredient questions. A manager had to check the ingredients and then admitted that he had learned something new himself. That is honestly unacceptable. I have eaten this dish multiple times under the assumption that it was vegetarian-friendly. Finding out after the fact that I had been eating chicken stock in the salsa is incredibly frustrating and upsetting. Dietary restrictions are not something restaurants should casually guess about, especially a chain as large and established as The Cheesecake Factory. This review is not about expecting every single item to be vegetarian. It is about staff training, menu knowledge, and transparency. If an item contains animal stock, servers and managers should know that, or there should be clear allergen/dietary information available so guests can make informed choices. You get one star for being disconnected from your own menu and for poorly training your staff on dietary restrictions. When guests clearly state that they are vegetarian, the restaurant should be able to handle that with accuracy, not guesswork.
