Very reasonable prices! I had multiple holes in a cashmere cardigan and the repair was only $30. I asked to have it back in a few days for an event and they were able to accommodate. Came back to get a heavy Canada Goose, hip-length coat dry cleaned and it was $35. read more

Very friendly and accomodating. Certainly NOT overpriced. In a neighborhood that used to have many dry cleaners, this is one of the last ones standing. They go above and beyond in doing exactly what the customer wants done. Recommended. read more

Reliable, great quality and super friendly. Have been using them for years. Try them you will be impressed

I would not use this cleaner. they ruined a brand new Escada sweater to which the owner recleaned because she felt it was not done properly. The cotton sweater came back discolored and the fabric burned from misuse of chemicals. it was the owner Inook who personally handled the miscleaning then refused any responsibility for ruining my property. The owner is far from reputable and honest. I would not recommend any dealing with her/White cleaners. I will pursue my loss with the legal system and report her/White Cleaners to any and all organizations, city and state that deal with such consumer fraud and misconduct. read more

Just an update. Wish I could give the owner 20 stars for the incredible work she does for my clothes. She inspects before and after. I do not understand why some people have not given better reviews. I am incredibly picky. Again, she deserves at least 20 stars!! read more

I've been here a handful of times to hem soemtimes, take in at the waist or replace a zipper. They are always so nice and welcoming, and very helpful. They are pretty prompt with their turnaround and everything I've gotten tailored has held up. read more

Best dry cleaning in the neighborhood! Also did great alterations on my dress. The owner is always so friendly and there's a fast turnaround time. read more

Top notch customer service! Never had issues getting a quick turnaround on everything (including tough to handle Indian clothes). If you're in Lakeview, this is the spot you're looking for! read more

The ladies that work here are so beyond nice I give them 5 stars alone just for that! :) I had a Vegas trip around the corner and I needed a dress altered. They did a flawless job and the dress fit perfectly. THEN the day before we were supposed to leave, my husband accidentally got 2 big holes in his swim trunks and I offered to sow them but I could tell he was a bit nervous about that (no faith!!) SO we ran to WC and she said she could fix it within a few hours. We picked it up later that day and she had sown it perfectly and saved the day! They do a GREAT job and just have the best customer service. read more

Lent my roommate a tie and he returned it stained. How he managed to stain a black tie is beyond me... Walked into this place at 8:00am on a Monday morning on one of the coldest days of the year and the lady could not have been more chipper! She took the time to make a little small talk before asking me when I needed my tie back. 2 days and $4.50 later I had me a clean tie! I literally passed 3 other cleaning places on my walk over to this place, and I'll definitely do it again in the future! read more

All dry cleaners are basically the same for my purposes, since I only own a few items that need to be dry cleaned. So for me, the feature that places White's above the rest is the service. The woman working there is so sweet - she always remembers my name and asks me about my life. She even has a bulletin board with holiday cards and pictures from her customers. What a doll! For the record, I have always been pleased with the service at White's. The woman working there always asks when I'd like to pick it up - even if I say the next day, she has it ready by then. I have always been very pleased with White's Cleaners. read more

While I haven't noticed a pricing difference, I have noticed that this place does quality work, for which I am willing to pay the extra. They do the regulars, shirts, slacks, jackets, but they also clean rugs and other large items. I recently took in a silk dress for cleaning--they got out the stains and smoothed out a snag, for about $17. read more

This review is way waaaay overdue. Inok has come through every time. No matter what I ask for, she makes sure that things are done perfectly. She remembers me as a customer. She is always friendly and greets you with a smile. Not a single time in the past two years has she disappointed! Case in point: Today, I came to pick up an item that needed mending. I cannot see the stitches! I mean, this item looks brand new! Where else can you get such service? One helpful thing to note: the cleaning facility is in a different place, so it takes about a week to get things cleaned. If you plan in advance, the wait is well worth it. Thank you White's Cleaners! read more

Great place in terms of alteration services. I purchased two pencil skirts from jcrew, both size 00 but they were still big for me. One was wool and the other a jacquard/cotton blend. I tried to save money and have my mom alter the jacquard one....but she ended up making it tooo small. This left me heartbroken because I had to stalk this skirt online. Thus, I turned to White's to fix my problems. I tried my skirts on for the woman there. She was very friendly and helpful. She told me she could take in the wool one and try to take out the tight one. She was honest with me and said she will try to fix it. She charged me $20 for each. This wasnt bad since I knew the skirts were made with 2 layers and very hard to alter. And since I had already spent a hunk of change on them I decided to pay up. Plus, I really loved both skirts. About a week and a half later I am in love with the job she did. Especially my jacquard one, she loosened it as much as possible and did a great job. you cant even see the old seams. I am very happy, and next time i need alterations Ill just come here. read more

Ok I'm not sure what everyone else is talking about. First and foremost, this is so weird, when I went to pay for dry cleaning and alterations they asked me "oh you can't pay with cash". Lol k that's fucking ridiculous, and I could but honestly I was so annoyed they asked me so I was like no. And she was so annoyed. Also, I asked to expand a shirt that was too tight on my breasts and she added fabric. Literally the fabric she added was random blue and white stripe and that was so mismatched. Like ok I understand put white fabric and she didn't. Ok she should not have put the fabric she did on my shirt it was so weird. Also when I went to pay for my tab I was like ok my tan whatever and this botch was like "can you pay in cash" and I was like um and then was like no so told her "no" and I was put off by the fact owner literally tried me to not pay with a card read more

Wow! Just wow! She's got some magic hands! I had two pairs of pants with broken zippers that were oddly unraveled which happens to happen to me a lot. (Trust me, I wear pants normally too.) Those pants were not expensive ones but my favorites, which even brought me memories from my past so I couldn't just throw them away. My pants were hospitalized at white cleaners only for a very short time. Price was very reasonable and most importantly the outcome of my pants was successfully fixed/cured! The zippers were way smoother & stronger than when I first purchased them. I am definitely going back to Dr.White cleaners lady who specializes in clothes emergency surgery! read more

Just an update from my previous review. I just wish I could give this place 10 stars. Just recently brought in some pants for dry cleaning but didn't notice a stain on them. Neither did the lady that is the owner. When they were brought back is when she noticed the spot. She immediately took them out of the pack and sent those to be re-done. Almost fell over when she told me what she did! That was easily the most professional situation I have seen from a dry cleaner! Wow!! read more

My first ever Yelp review and it was this place that convinced me to say something. The woman who works there is the nicest and dearest woman you will ever meet in your life. I moved to Chicago a year ago and I didn't know anyone and this place was by my apartment; I could have been having the worst day ever and feeling in the dumps but EVERY single time this woman has a smile on her face and is positive and would make me realize we all need to be more like her. I know that I spent entire comment talking about the woman working there but in addition, I have never had a bad dry cleaning here and they are super fast with all items. Please support this business!! read more

The owner of White's Cleaners is fantastic. She remembers my name every time and asks how my wedding planning is going. Always on time and very professional, White's misses the final star because she is a tad on the expensive side. However, she is convenient, has great hours, and the personal touch cannot be beat. read more

This is a great place. My clothes are always cleaned and pressed to perfection. Not to mention the owner is super nice and very professional. read more

Love this dry cleaner! I've been going here for over 10yrs. I lived in the neighborhood for a long time and as I have slowly moved more west in Diversey, I still find myself bringing my husband's shirts back here. Can't ever bring myself to switch since it's that great. Great owner who's nice, friendly and always knows my name without asking. It's my Cheers of dry cleaning. read more

The lady working here is so incredibly polite and kind! I can't begin to explain how happy I was when I picked up my favorite dress just now. I apparently sat in some chocolate that was spilled in the booth at dinner the other day, and was certain my white and black dress was ruined, but this cleaner worker some amazing magic and saved my dress! ! ! I will be returning for all my dry clean needs! read more

I have lived in Chicago for just five months, and am so happy to have found White Cleaners. Have brought three batches of shirts done to my satisfaction. I found out they had shoe repair so I brought him a pair of my favorite boots from two years ago. They repaired the boots perfectly-remove the rubber around the bottom perimeter of the leather boot. They did an amazing job on the repair and polish. Yes, "Ino" the owner is super warm and appreciative of her customers. This is my go to place!!! read more

Nicest folks you'll ever meet operating a dry cleaning shop. They remember their numerous customers by name, they're funny, reasonably priced, and always on time. Even when the customer isn't right, they're gracious and double check everything cheerfully. As long as they're in business, I'll never go anywhere else. read more

The owner of this shop is friendly and welcoming. They restored a newly "found" jacket that was 3 years old and very dirty, and can get things turned around in a day. It's on my way to the L, so I stop here, but they're more expensive than most other dry cleaners. read more

The lady that works here is always friendly and nice. I've had them tailor alot of my clothes (I'm short and love when clothes fit like a glove) and I've been happy with everything they've done. They've even adjusted a bathing suit for me (I'm sure she thought I was crazy) but was still super polite & friendly and did an awesome job. I know they've taken a bit of a hit since Diversey stop closed, but still try to use them (that and I'm too lazy to walk to that one price cleaner half a mile down) read more

My only problem is the prices, but having used a cheapo dry cleaner before and been hosed, I don't mind paying more for this place, whose owner is fantastic! She always has my stuff ready, nothing has ever been missing, and she has fixed items before for very reasonable rates. read more

The owner is one the nicest, most sincere woman I know. I can tell by all the cards from her clients that other people seem to agree. She does the tailoring herself and gets things done in a very timely manner. She goes above and beyond for her customers. I get my clothes dry cleaned all the time and I am always satisfied with White Cleaners. read more

Super friendly service, never had an issue in the many times I've had items dry cleaned.

First time ever using a dry cleaning service and this place was amazing! I brought in a suit to be dry cleaned as well as a white blouse with stains that were a few years old. Wasn't sure if they were going to be able to get the old stains out but figured I would take it there and see what they could do. Picked up my dry cleaning a few days later and they were actually able to get the old stains off my blouse! The lady that runs the place is very sweet and had good customer service. I thought the price was really reasonable! Well definitely be back for future dry cleaning needs! read more

I have at two different times had torn sleeves on shirts repaired. I just picked up my favorite levis shirt. The woman at store did a excellent job. The price was very reasonable. Live in the area with a lot of tailor/cleaners. This business I highly recommend. read more

I was so impresed, and so were my pants! Incredibly kind (and insanely hardworking) owner who's willing to expedite, if you're in a pinch. A little more expensive than other places around Lakeview, but trust that they'll be doing things right. read more

Ruined my $300 suit pants. The pleat down the middle they created two. Wouldn't own up to it- don't come here.

Love this cleaners! Woman behind the counter is so sweet. Always remembers my name and is so thankful for all my business!

Cheap and amazing service! They were able to get set-in stains out of a dress and silk tie without issue.

I gave them a North Face coat to clean, and all I got back was the lining. They claim that's all I gave them. I wasn't up for any kind of conflict, so I left. Bizarre. I was so disappointed. It was odd. read more

drycleaning is drycleaning to me, but this woman did an amazing repair for me that made it worth my while to review her. normally i would have had to have this silk sweater rewoven (at a cost of over $100) and she fixed it for $8. and she's always smiling. a totally pleasant experience every time. only downside is that she's cash only. read more
