I would not use this cleaner. they ruined a brand new Escada sweater to which the owner recleaned because she felt it was not done properly. The cotton sweater came back discolored and the fabric burned from misuse of chemicals. it was the owner Inook who personally handled the miscleaning then refused any responsibility for ruining my property. The owner is far from reputable and honest. I would not recommend any dealing with her/White cleaners. I will pursue my loss with the legal system and report her/White Cleaners to any and all organizations, city and state that deal with such consumer fraud and misconduct. read more

The ladies that work here are so beyond nice I give them 5 stars alone just for that! :) I had a Vegas trip around the corner and I needed a dress altered. They did a flawless job and the dress fit perfectly. THEN the day before we were supposed to leave, my husband accidentally got 2 big holes in his swim trunks and I offered to sow them but I could tell he was a bit nervous about that (no faith!!) SO we ran to WC and she said she could fix it within a few hours. We picked it up later that day and she had sown it perfectly and saved the day! This review is way waaaay overdue. Inok has come through every time. No matter what I ask for, she makes sure that things are done perfectly. She remembers me as a customer. She is always friendly and greets you with a smile. Not a single time in the past two years has she disappointed! Case in point: Today, I came to pick up an item that needed mending. I cannot see the stitches! I mean, this item looks brand new! Where else can you get such service? One helpful thing to note: the cleaning facility is in a different place, so it takes about a week to get things cleaned. If you plan in advance, the wait is well worth it. Lent my roommate a tie and he returned it stained. How he managed to stain a black tie is beyond me... Walked into this place at 8:00am on a Monday morning on one of the coldest days of the year and the lady could not have been more chipper! All dry cleaners are basically the same for my purposes, since I only own a few items that need to be dry cleaned. So for me, the feature that places White's above the rest is the service. The woman working there is so sweet - she always remembers my name and asks me about my life. She even has a bulletin board with holiday cards and pictures from her customers. What a doll! While I haven't noticed a pricing difference, I have noticed that this place does quality work, for which I am willing to pay the extra. They do the regulars, shirts, slacks, jackets, but they also clean rugs and other large items. I recently took in a silk dress for cleaning--they got out the stains and smoothed out a snag, for about $17. read more

Ok I'm not sure what everyone else is talking about. First and foremost, this is so weird, when I went to pay for dry cleaning and alterations they asked me "oh you can't pay with cash". Lol k that's fucking ridiculous, and I could but honestly I was so annoyed they asked me so I was like no. And she was so annoyed. Also, I asked to expand a shirt that was too tight on my breasts and she added fabric. Literally the fabric she added was random blue and white stripe and that was so mismatched. Like ok I understand put white fabric and she didn't. Ok she should not have put the fabric she did on my shirt it was so weird. Wow! Just wow! She's got some magic hands! I had two pairs of pants with broken zippers that were oddly unraveled which happens to happen to me a lot. (Trust me, I wear pants normally too.) Those pants were not expensive ones but my favorites, which even brought me memories from my past so I couldn't just throw them away. My pants were hospitalized at white cleaners only for a very short time. Price was very reasonable and most importantly the outcome of my pants was successfully fixed/cured! Great place in terms of alteration services. I purchased two pencil skirts from jcrew, both size 00 but they were still big for me. One was wool and the other a jacquard/cotton blend. I tried to save money and have my mom alter the jacquard one....but she ended up making it tooo small. This left me heartbroken because I had to stalk this skirt online. Thus, I turned to White's to fix my problems. I tried my skirts on for the woman there. She was very friendly and helpful. She told me she could take in the wool one and try to take out the tight one. She was honest with me and said she will try to fix it. She charged me $20 for each. This wasnt bad since I knew the skirts were made with 2 layers and very hard to alter. And since I had already spent a hunk of change on them I decided to pay up. Plus, I really loved both skirts. About a week and a half later I am in love with the job she did. Especially my jacquard one, she loosened it as much as possible and did a great job. you cant even see the old seams. I am very happy, and next time i need alterations Ill just come here. read more

Just an update from my previous review. I just wish I could give this place 10 stars. Just recently brought in some pants for dry cleaning but didn't notice a stain on them. Neither did the lady that is the owner. When they were brought back is when she noticed the spot. She immediately took them out of the pack and sent those to be re-done. My first ever Yelp review and it was this place that convinced me to say something. The woman who works there is the nicest and dearest woman you will ever meet in your life. I moved to Chicago a year ago and I didn't know anyone and this place was by my apartment; I could have been having the worst day ever and feeling in the dumps but EVERY single time this woman has a smile on her face and is positive and would make me realize we all need to be more like her. I found out they had shoe repair so I brought him a pair of my favorite boots from two years ago. They repaired the boots perfectly-remove the rubber around the bottom perimeter of the leather boot. First time ever using a dry cleaning service and this place was amazing! I brought in a suit to be dry cleaned as well as a white blouse with stains that were a few years old. Wasn't sure if they were going to be able to get the old stains out but figured I would take it there and see what they could do. Picked up my dry cleaning a few days later and they were actually able to get the old stains off my blouse! The lady that runs the place is very sweet and had good customer service.
