Disappointing. Been going to this cleaners occasionally the last 6 years as it's down the street from my house, but won't again. They pressed my silk pjs and ruined them. Burned the buttons onto the other side of the shirt and it's permanent. They gaslit as well and said they didn't do it. They did. read more

Found a receipt for this cleaners in a copy of Howard Zinn's "A people's history of the United States" dated Wednesday August 21st. Just wanted to share and say that if this place has been providing service for that long, they must be doing something right. A little piece of real life US History in a history novel, if you will. Shout out to Sophia for taking care of Mr/Ms Mikuska's clothes so well on this warm summer day back in 04. read more

U S Cleaners - Shout out to Sophia for taking care of Mr/Ms Mikuska's clothes so well on this warm summer day back in 04. - Dry Cleaning Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

First they shrunk our drapes and now they lost four buttons on a dress. My bad for giving them a second chance, they don't care to make things right. Sad. read more

Satisfactory with dry cleaning, so-so on repairs. Go to F&G Cleaners Tailors on Grand for high-quality repairs.

I tried to be a loyal customer to this place but they're terrible. They continually miss agreed upon deadlines and the clerk makes rude comments about the length of my dress. My latest visit to them is my last as they completely destroyed one of my favorite blouses. I will never be going here again and I recommend that you don't either. read more

I came to US Cleaners to get a zipper replaced on a pair of pants. I'd had these pants for a while, and the store doesn't carry them anymore, so I thought fixing was the right route to take. When I dropped off the pants, the could who owns/runs the shop were extremely nice (as the other reviews say). When I went to pick them up, though, things were quite different. Not only did they fix the zipper, but they also shortened the pants by 3-4 inches! (I hadn't asked for this.) the couple apologized but insisted the pants would be OK. I tried them on, and they looked terrible. I asked them to give me some money to replace the now ruined pants, and the couple started calling me names, a liar, basically a terrible person. They insisted the pants were fine, that I could wear them as is or sew back on the extra material they'd cut off (conveniently ignoring the seam that would be quite visible). I don't mind when people make mistakes, but it should be their responsibility to fix them when they are undoubtedly at fault. And they certainly should not criticize the character and morals of their customer. Now I have a ruined pair of pants that I cannot replace. I cannot recommend anyone go here after the way they treated me. read more

Okay well, I didn't read Christopher J.'s review before I went there, or I probably would have gone somewhere else. I will say though, that if you want a dress altered there they want you make you wait a week for it, so if you've waited till the last minute you have to beg a little to get them to do it faster. I don't really know if that's a standard amount of time for a dress to be altered at a dry cleaners, but I do know that it doesn't take that long to hem a dress. I also wasn't expecting to cost $70 to hem a dress, but I have pretty much zero dry cleaner experience. read more

Since pretty much the day we met, the boyfriend has raved about this place. Saying that they're the friendliest folks in Chicago. Telling me that they've never lost, never ruined, never been late with anything. Not once. Not ever. My thinking? C'mon, they're cleaners. I've been to lots of cleaners, and they're all just fine. So I expected the same when I stopped in to pick up his clothes one day. Believe the hype, people. If you saw customer service like this in a movie, you'd call it ridiculous. They were SO excited to meet me, all huge smiles and near hugs. So much warmth, I swooned. For a moment, I imagined they'd been having long conversations with him about me. (A girl can dream, right?) I've still never had anything cleaned here, but my fella always looks hot and handsome. Thanks for the arm candy, mister and missus US Cleaners. read more

Can't help but wonder if this place only does so well/is able to charge what they do simply because of the proximity to a major intersection and train stop. It's mediocre work at best. She takes a lot of shortcuts -- I had the arms on a shirt reduced and she measured out one but then had me take the shirt off telling me she'd just use the same measurement for the other arm. Any decent tailor would understand the body isn't perfectly symmetrical and both arm measurements aren't exactly the same. They are also frequently late -- more often then not I'm told to come in the next day despite being told my garments would be ready that day. read more

Reading the negative reviews here makes me wonder if these people have the wrong cleaners. Or if the place changed ownership in the past couple of years. The husband and wife who run this place are outrageously friendly. Even when I'm walking by on my way to the El, they always smile and wave, and it's not like I go in there that frequently. Truly lovely people with a natural drive for great customer service. I bring my dress shirts here for laundering, and they're always ready super fast and impeccably pressed. The prices are perfectly reasonable and they always use just the right amount of starch (ie not too much). I wouldn't hesitate to bring in simple tailoring or more involved dry cleaning for a second. read more

This husband and wife team are the friendliest, nicest people and best tailors in Wicker Park, bar none. After terrible experiences at Greener Cleaner around the corner, these guys were a breath of fresh air. The clothes are returned on time, I don't think they've ever lost a shirt or ruined anything, and my wife claims they do the best hems she's ever seen (including jeans). Maybe Christopher J. went to another cleaner or there might have been a translation problem (the owners do have an accent). I'm sensitive to any homophobia, but I honestly haven't caught a whiff of that. I can't believe I'm writing a review for a dry cleaner, but that's just how good these folks are. read more

Based on one trip...I'm a big fan so far. I brought in a suit and a dress, and a tie that me and my husband wore to a wedding. The wedding was a lot of fun and we came home wearing red wine. They got the red wine out of everything! I also swore I checked the pockets but they said I left $20 in it and they gave it back to me! That was seriously surprising. Especially because it was such a small amount of money it wouldn't have been noticed. I believe it was about $20 for the 2piece suit, dress, and tie. They were very friendly. When I dropped my stuff off they and gave them my number they realized I was a new customer and genuinely thanked me for using them. It was very sincere appreciation for using their business. I hope the bad review about sexual orientation is wrong, or they've changed their mind. These certainly don't seem like the type of people to be so negative. Anyway, for now...they are my dry cleaner! read more

This is the best dry cleaner in Chicago. I travel across the city to get to these two, and they are so sweet. I trust my most prized things with them, and they always make it work. Be good to these two. Being kind and polite goes a long way. read more

I am a big fan of U S Cleaners. The customer service is terrific - very friendly, able to rush cleaning and pressing when needed w/o any extra cost, even got a "Happy Holiday's" lint roller and a pair of pants pressed for free back in December. There have been one or two minor miscommunications about when an item would be ready, but even then, they have apologized profusely and went out of their way to make things right. My girlfriend and I have both had items cleaned and pressed. Everything has met or exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend them to anyone. read more

Super friendly from the moment I first walked in on my first visit. I brought a few items to start and test them out. They had my stuff done in two business days, and a weekend. I didn't give them anything too tough, but the bit of grime there had been was cleaned, and my clothes didn't seem to be any worse off. There's metered street parking outside that seems to be pretty empty first thing in the morning, and they'll watch your car while you run in if you ask, so you can pop in without getting a ticket. Pricy, so I might look for another option, but the work is good. read more

Did a good job on my shirts and pants, no complaints. I gave them some ties that had some big wrinkles in them; when they came back, they just had little wrinkles in them. Hard to blame them for that, i'd not taken care of them. But! It would have been nice if they'd said "we probably can't fix these" as opposed to taking my money and just not fixing them very well. That being said, i think it's a decent place and I'll be back. read more

I love this place. I walk in the door and I get smiles. The husband and wife running the shop practically (and sometimes literally) jump over the counter to help me. My clothes are always done on time and done right, whether it's dry cleaning, hemming, sewing 30 buttons back on my coat...you name it. It's customer service backed up by service. It's business done right. Now if they would only take American Express. read more

I use this store weekly. Sofia who runs this store has always given us really great service. Always on time, always clean and she's never lost a single item (big improvement over my last store). Sofia has always gone out of the way to help us: - One time I turned up 5 minutes after closing. Sofia was on her way out, but she unlocked the door and gave me my clothes. A lifesaver as I needed to head to the airport early the next morning. - When my fiancee's hem needed restitching, Sofia pointed this out and then mended it for free. I'm sure that's just for regular customers but, still, it's great service. - One time I'd lost a garment. Sofia knew that she hadn't lost it, but she still searched her entire store for it. Of course, it was me that misplaced it! I'm sorry to hear that she went on an unpleasant tirade as described by Christopher. One might make excuses that she is from a very different culture (Korea) and a different generation to most of her customers. But it's still a shame. She's always been very polite and helpful to us. If you live locally and need reliable dry cleaning service, US Cleaners will do a great job for you. read more

The prices here have gone WAY up. Last year they cleaned my futon cover + couch cushion covers for under $80, now they want $200 for the same thing. As the couch is worth about $300 that is obviously not worth it. I will definitely not be going back read more

Excellent service! Quick, thorough, friendly. This is my go-to dry cleaner. What more can I say? read more

I took my clothes here for over a year without incident. The service was professional, inexpensive, and work was quality. One day while picking up some shirts, the woman behind the counter, seemingly out of nowhere, launched into an anti-gay tirade, about how disgusting it is and how she can't stand 'those kinds of people.' I picked up my shirts and will never return. read more

This place is great. I now take my dry cleaning exclusively to this place. Quick, reliable and reasonably priced. Not much more to say since it's just dry cleaning. read more

This place is amazing. They do a wonderful job on all of our clothes and have a very quick turnaround. The customer service is beyond what I would have ever expected. If I drop off or pick up my dry cleaning, I am greated at my car and never have to get out. Add'l, they come to my house and drop off and pick up our clothes, which helps me more than they will know. I went they other day with my boyfriend and he had to get his pants hemmed. When he was inside, they asked where I was and he told them in the car. All of a sudden they appeared at my car to say hello. How nice! I strongly recommend this dry cleaner to anyone looking for good service and good customer service with a smile!! read more

Having had another great experience at US Cleaners recently, I just can't not review them. 5 stars for both their work and I'd give them even more stars for customer service, if possible. From the very first time I went there about a year ago, the owner greeted me as if I was a long lost friend. I've since had numerous items dry cleaned and altered to perfection. She took in a bridesmaid dress that was humungous on me and actually made it look quite nice. When I came back a few months later with something else, she asked how the wedding was (aww she remembered!). The latest is that they were able to clean a blazer for me in just a few hours because of an interview the next day. She even wished me good luck when I picked it up! Plus, the prices are super reasonable. read more

I have the same fanaticism for this place as other posters before me. Not only does this couple do fantastic work on time (without fail) and for a very reasonable price, but they are also the sweetest people I have ever met in my life. Not in a placating, obligatory customer service kind of way, but in a way that makes you feel like they just genuinely love interacting with people and have a very positive outlook on life. The way they greet us when we come in, you'd think we had been long lost childhood friends. They ask us about how we're doing, what's going on with our lives, and are so excited at whatever news we have to share. My wife & I were just recently married; I took my suit here to have it tailored before the wedding, and when I got it back, it included a beautiful card from the Mister and Missus wishing us luck & happiness. This is now the ONLY place I will go for dry cleaning or tailoring, and I am very happy to say I think it'll be that way for a very long time. read more

US Cleaners is still the best. I've been bringing our clothes to them regularly for a year, and I'm consistently impressed. It is probably the best dry cleaners in the universe, but in light of unanswered questions about quantum physics it is difficult to be sure. I digress. Most recently, I brought them a pair of trousers that bore the brunt of my poor decision to douse myself in red wine. They were light gray. All signs pointed to disaster. One day later, I got them back with not a trace of wine. Bravo. Also, prices are very reasonable. And my wife loves them just as much as I do for her silk blouses, etc. read more

I am very skeptical of cleaners sometimes because not all handle your clothes with "care." US cleaners is hands down the BEST dry cleaners I have every been to. (FYI, I live an hour away if that doesn't prove my point further haha) read more

I've never met friendlier owners in my life. The prices are very reasonable, they do a great job with everything you drop off, and even if it's your first time they make sure you feel as if you were their very first customer ever. How adorable is the couple that runs this place?! They literally jump up to greet you when you walk in the door. The customer service is so outstanding it's almost comical. US Cleaners is the best! They know my whole family, and they come out to the car to help my wife carry in our out when she has our son in her arms. Family-owned and very friendly. They do a great job on cleaning, hemming jeans and they have a fast turn-around. read more

For those referring to older (less than positive) reviews, please note that the business changed owners close to two years ago. The current owners are the oft-mentioned phenomenally friendly couple, and they go out of their way to provide amazing service. They get out all but the toughest of stains and are always on time. They even watch my car when I leave the blinkers on, and help me load my dry cleaning into my car when I'm done. read more

After reading the reviews on here, i decided to not go to a place near my house and check this place out... Since the item i was brining in were high end designer 1000$ pants I didn't want to trust em with just anyone. This was the worse mistake of my life! TERRIBLE place! They ruined my pants! On black Wednesday in which i had a important event to attend! This is unacceptable! Now I'm not a person to leave reviews, but i felt like I had to! I guess this place might be OK for cheap clothes, But DO NOT bring anything of value here! They didn't even bother to make things right SMH... I told them NOT to do one thing and ONLY one thing and they messed that up! There no excuse! they will act like they know what they are doing but then screw you up! AVOID THIS PLACE! DO NOT GO HERE! :( read more

The absolute best. Very friendly, fast, and great on alterations. So sad we moved away to a new neighborhood...but I still bring pants in for alterations! read more

This will be a strange review because the people are super nice and hardworking andwith really large orders will drop the order at your house. I only have one complaint, but it's a big one. I thought maybe I made I mistake and gave my St. John's sweater dress away mistakenly with donations, but when my next order came through and my Moschino skirt was missing what more can I say? The second order was 59 pieces so maybe I should have taken a picture before I dropped it off, but they assured me that they count all pieces to be sure everything is there. Not true. At least in my case. read more

This is hands down the best dry cleaners in town. The couple that runs this place is genuinely the nicest people on planet earth, and their work is amazing. I would give them 10 stars if I could. read more

Twice I've brought dresses in to be dry cleaned and it's not until I arrive to pick them up that they tell me they couldn't clean them. Not happy and after the second time, decided I would not be a returning customer. read more

Great service, great prices, quick turnaround time!
