Wilton Cleaners is a high volume cleaners so it's priced very competitively, but through the years I've found that you get what you pay for, and it's the case here. My cleaners had unexpectedly shut doors so I took in 8 items to test Wilton out for the first time. Seven of those items turned out fine other than being starched heavily. The last item was returned uncleaned and torn by the sleeve. They told me that the seams on it were already comprised, and that it can be fixed for a small fee. I know it wasn't like that when I dropped it off, but gave them the benefit of doubt since it was several years old, and that was a plausible explanation. When I inspected the damage more closely at home to see if it was worth fixing, I could see a small area on the back of the shirt had been thinned out like it was caught on something leading to the tearing, definitely not from normal wear and tear. While I saved $10 or compared to my normal dry cleaning bill, the cost to replace a damaged item is far more than that so I recommend keeping that in mind for delicate or treasured items. They are economical for items that don't need to be handled with care. read more

Wilton Cleaners - Wilton explained that this was done by compromised seams. It looks more like fabric was caught in equipment and damaged. - Laundry Services Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

Friendly service and very professional work. Due to them being busy, the turnaround time for my items was kind of slow. Wish they had Sunday hours. read more

I live in portage and continue to travel to go to this cleaners. The family is amazing and have been in the neighborhood for years. There has been one occasion where they cannot clean my garment because of the beading and I was happy they didn't. Instead they explained why I needed to clean it by hand. Love this place read more

I have to find new dry cleaners. I've been coming here almost weekly for a year and half. Along the way they have ruined a few shirts, 3 to be exact. Small tear here and there. I have never said anything about it because usually the shirt was already old, or in one case I just sewed the tear myself. I go there a lot, I don't expect it to go perfectly every time, so I just move on. This time around however, they lost a shirt. Completely gone! The young woman says that she will partner with their "new" third party facility and call me back, but she doesn't. About 5 or 6 days later I go back to ask about it. She tells me that they need more time all the while describing the wrong shirt. This made me feel like they weren't really being diligent about the lost shirt. I go back the following day to drop off more clothes, but I stopped to ask about the process if they can't find the shirt. She says she'll partner with the third party facility and see what they are going to do. I again ask her for their process, not the third party. She gets visibly upset, arms start flailing with every word she speaks. When I asked her why she's yelling she said it's because I was yelling. This accusation shocked me as I had been perfectly calm, it seems she just needed a reason to justify her behavior. She calmed down a little momentarily, but when I asked about what their process was again she started yelling again. This time I called her out on it as soon as she started. Then I asked her to give me an opportunity to speak the same way I had given her the opportunity. With them not being able to speak about their process I was no longer comfortable leaving my clothes there. They can simply lose my clothes and never even take accountability, much less reimburse me in some way. She never once offered anything, or even asked "what would you like us to do for you?" She could've said "hey this batch is on us" or "let me give you a $10-$15 discount". Both of these options I would have been comfortable with. I've had the shirt for about two years, I wasn't looking for the retail value. I don't think I'm being unreasonable. This kind of reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where he simply wanted them to admit fault for shrinking the shirt. At least they conceded. The woman at Wilton was nowhere near doing that. She just wanted to blame the other facility. I dropped my shirts off at Wilton, not at the other facility. Regardless, I'm now having to look for new dry cleaners. By the way, Jesus, who also works there was ALWAYS very pleasant. read more

My favorite dry cleaners spot in Chicago! They are a very nice family run business and they take great care in your clothes. I have never had an issue with any of my clothes nor my husband's. Their prices are extremely reasonable and some of the cheapest in the city. I have tried 3 local dry cleaners and they are by far the best. They open early (7:30) and close at 7 six days a week. They will do rush orders for you if you really need something...and they don't charge extra. One of the female owners, Carmella-she does outstanding work on my clothes-buttons, sewing, and taking pants in and out. I can't say enough good things about this place, love em! read more

Very convenient, very reasonaly priced. I enjoy the staff, I like a little local latin flavor at the cleaners. Never had a problem here before. Pretty quick turnaround and work with me whenever I need something in a pinch. read more

This is officially my go-to cleaners. I went last fall to get some thrift store finds cleaned and get a cape taken in, they did a great job on both. Three days before my engagement pictures I realized the dress I was going to wear was waaay too big. I took it into Wilton Cleaners Tuesday morning and they had taken it in and cleaned by the Wednesday at 5:30pm-- talk about great service. The dress fits perfectly now. I have no idea what dry cleaning and alterations are supposed to cost, but what I pay here seems totally reasonable. Others have said it's priced well, so I'll take their word for it. Just go here. Oh, and the people are really nice too. read more

Super friendly service, remembers our name, what we do, always helps get stuff done early when possible. Redos are common, never have to ask, they get the job done right without having to be asked, and will sometimes dry clean a spot 2-3 times before you come back to pickup. We have only had one stain they couldn't remove in our 3 years coming here, I only wish I had reviewed them sooner, they should be a 4.2-4.4 star business, especially in regards to price: value. read more

I thoroughly dislike this place. Sure, it's cheap...but did they even try to get the spot out of my silk top that I pointed out? Apparenly not, because the next cleaner I took it to removed the spot. Did they call when they decided not to clean my dress because "they didn't know what the spots were," after the fact? No--I had to pick it up the day I needed it, still dirty and wrinkled. Did they scortch a pair of my fiance's pants? Yes. Don't bother dropping off anything that you want cleaned or that you don't want ruined. read more

Even though my visits to Wilton Cleaners are 10 to 15-minute drive (pending traffic), I consider this cleaner to be my favorite neighborhood dry cleaners. I've been burned (literally) and overcharged by other dry cleaners before, but you cannot beat the impeccable service and pricing at Wilton. I have brought suits, comforters, dresses, coats to Wilton and I couldn't be happier with the quality of the cleaning. And the pricing...it cannot be beat, at least in my experience. I have gone to other dry cleaning establishments and been quoted $50 and up to clean a comforter, at Wilton, we have had our comforters cleaned for $25!! You also cannot beat the fact that if you drop off your dry cleaning at 7 am when they open shop, you can have your order ready the same day! That feature has definitely come in handy for us on many an occasion. The staff at Wilton is always friendly and helpful and there have been instances where they cannot launder or alter an item of clothing for me. They inform me before hand and are up front. I appreciate that level of service. This would be a 5-star review, but I am deducting 1 star for the smell of dry cleaning solution in the air at Wilton. I leave the establishment a little light headed, but it's instantly forgivable with the great service and quality product I have received. read more

What a great find. The service is great and prices are reasonable - not cheap. Hours are very flexible - late on Saturday.

I'm a little shocked at the low rating. Wilton Cleaners did an excellent job of cleaning my "conference" suit, and they did so quickly. Plus they do the work onsite, so you don't have to pay the middleman. The people there were not the friendliest folks in the world, and you have to spend $10 to use your card. Still, I don't go to the cleaners to strike up a conversation. It's super convenient for Blueline riders. read more

Great service!!! The alterations person, Carmen, does an outstanding job! I'm very satisfied with the hem jobs, dress and pants alterations. The men's shirts are so professionally starched and ironed. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The prices are very reasonable. read more

Hands down the worst dry cleaners I have ever used. If you care about your clothes don't take them here because the staff definitely does not. They stained my white pencil skirt with RED dye and they were incapable of properly pressing any of my other clothes - they were returned to me still wrinkled. I will never go here again. read more

It can be hard to pick a reliable cleaner in the neighborhood. You know someone who does a through job while not charging a fortune? Luckily I ran into this convenient place close to my crib. They are in charge of cleaning my numerous Bloomingdales black suits. The price is nice and turnover is fast. read more

Small business + friendly, fast and low cost prices = 5 stars. I don't ever need or bring them clothes that need special attention. Typically it's collared, button down shirts that need pressed. If I get dirt/stain on the shirt, I'll point it out and they'll make sure the spot is removed. They take credit cards but as a small business I make sure to try and pay with cash. They remember their customers and at least a few times I've been $.50/$1.00 short and they've allow me to take my clothes but I pay my debt the next visit. read more

Great place. Replaced metal zipper on expensive jacket and does regular dry cleaning fantastically. Good place. I trust them.

from the looks of things, a lot of people have had bad luck with stains, so perhaps that is not their specialty. I take my clothes here, wool pants mainly, and they are done to my satisfaction every time, and the cost is very reasonable. The main thing I like is they are friendly, and crack jokes, and seem to be enjoying what they do, and that makes me feel good about bringing my business here. They are the most convenient to me, and I appreciate that they take my credit card as well without coping an attitude like a cab driver. read more

I would have liked this cleaners better if I didn't feel like I was getting ripped off. I came in with both my winter coats and asked how much it would cost me, and initiallly I was told $12 but was told it was $14 after he made a phone call to check. Funny the conversation was in Spanish, so that only makes me more suspicious. Is it because I'm wearing nice clothes - was there a sign on my forehead that said to charge me more?! I was too lazy to go check and try another place, so I was willing to give it a try. I came back because I wanted to try and get these mud stains off of my white coat, and was told after coming back the second time that the mud from the streets picks up grease as well and that it never comes off. I mean how does this explain why my other previous dry cleaners was able to get it off all my stains before. I paid $28 for both my coats and it took at least 5 days to get them. I'm still on the hunt to find a better quality dry cleaners. read more

Not a fan. I no longer go here as they ruined a pricey dress that I had only worn once. Basically they pressed the dress and melted all the beading along the neckline. I didn't see it until I got home but when I went back with the dress in hand they were ADAMANT that they were not responsible. Basically, the girl kept interrupting me stating that they were not responsible and that I release them of responsibility when I leave the dress with them - over and over and over again. Whatever - I get that. I just thought after going in there for 3 years and spending $100/month at their store they would at least be apologetic. No dice. I wasn't even asking them to pay for the dress, I just wanted to show them what they did. Dry cleaners have insurance for this reason and I thought they would rather keep a good customer than be bitchy about the whole ordeal. Anyway, I now go to the Advanced Cleaners down the street. More expensive, but at least they have air conditioning and the man and woman who work there remember my name and are so nice. read more

This is a pretty average neighborhood cleaner. They generally do a good job of cleaning and pressing my items. Prices seem about average for the area. The only things I'm not crazy about are that: (1) they open at 7:30 (or a little before) on weekday mornings rather than 7:00 like most dry cleaners and (2) as others on here noted, they don't call you if an item doesn't seem to get clean the first time - they just wait till you pick it up (normally on the day you need it) and then ask if you want them to try again. read more

I moved out of the neighborhood but still drive back to go to Wilton Cleaners. I've been taking my dry cleaning there weekly for almost nine years. They know that I cannot sew to save my life and often will do minor fixes for free. I'm always greeted with a smile and have a nice chat with members of the family who run the business. I've even imported cleaning from Lincoln Park on behalf of family members who can really appreciate great service for less than half the price of the dry cleaners near their home. read more

I like this dry cleaner. They allow my dog to wait in the service area. Customer service is always friendly and attentive. I tried another dry cleaner a bit further south on Western because that cleaner is a bit closer to my home, but I went back to Wilton Cleaners because they are friendlier and charge essentially the same (I think they are even a bit cheaper). read more
