My dress had some light marks on it as well as lots of wrinkles and pet hair and needed it for an event. The dress has embroidery as well as metal tips and fringe on the back. First I went to a different dry cleaners who said that he could get it done but it wouldn't be ready in time. The second place I went to said that she wouldn't recommend dry cleaning it as the machines could mess up those embellishments and they would have to send it out to be pressed anyway. So finally came here and I wish I had stopped here first!! The women were both very kind and welcoming. They looked over my dress in detail, tested some spots and agreed that I could probably spot treat the marks like they showed me at home to save myself money and to keep the integrity of the dress. Then I could bring it back and they would press it for me. I came back on my lunch break with the marks cleaned (which did come off super easy)and she said I would be able to get it same day. The Press was only $9 and when I came back to pick it up the next day, they were both once again very kind. I highly recommend coming to this dry cleaners as they really care about your clothes! read more

My Cleaners - Hours - Laundry Services Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

This is one of the best dry cleaners in the city. Having moved out of the neighborhood a few years ago I still come back here. The service is amazing and I cant imagine going anywhere else. read more

super friendly! items are fairly priced. i really love how friendly the owner is and items are prioritized if needed.

I rarely have the need for dry cleaning, but have always gone to My Cleaners when required. Yesterday I came in to pick up my cleaning, which was impeccable as always. I am currently 6 months pregnant and had my toddler in tow. It was freezing and my hands were full. The owner insisted on walking back to my car with me to put my cleaning in my car for me (even though she didn't have a coat on!). It's the small things that make for great neighborhood companies. 5/5 for quality and 10/5 stars for service. read more

My Cleaners provides reliable and friendly service. They always do a good job. What more could you want?

I've tried many dry cleaners and this is the worst by far. Might as well take your clothes to CD1 price. My sweaters are always shrunken, pilly and still dirty when returned to me. My fault to keep going back there but this has happened to multiple items. read more

They've always done a great job on our clothes and accommodated a quick turnaround time when we needed it

I didn't experience any attitude - they were very friendly. I did experience problems, however. Took a batch of shirts in. Got them back - definitely were washed and pressed, but had very obvious sweat stains still on them. They were nice enough to redo them for free. They came back improved, but a few still were unwearable given the remaining sweat stains. In addition, one of them now had pretty bad wrinkles pressed into the shirt. Not ruined, but unwearable until I have it cleaned again. I'd advise you to go elsewhere for important cleaning jobs. For everyday cleaning (e.g. lightly soiled dress shirts), this place might be worth the risk of a mediocre job for the sake of convenience. I'll be trying out some other nearby cleaners. read more

I've been using My Cleaners for about three years, since I moved into the neighborhood. Use them for wash and press, dry cleaning, couch covers, leather, wedding dress, drapes. Also for original hem. They are very good across the board. Quality of the dry cleaning and laundry is always consistently good, prices are reasonable and they haven't lost or damaged anything. Only reason they don't get five stars is turnaround time. Usually takes 2-3 days for a large order, would prefer it was less time. Also, they take visa/mastercard but no amex. read more

Great dry cleaning service. Quick turn around. Excellent quality. Have been using My Cleaners for years and never had a problem. Highly recommended if you need a dry cleaner in Bucktown. read more

I've tried a number of cleaners in the neighborhood and have made this place my go to. It may be a little more expensive that some of the other options, however, the service is worth paying for. Not only do they do a timely, good job, they are also incredibly friendly. And the kicker. The woman behind the register actually remembers my phone number and inquires about my wife every time I go. It's a semi-odd, but nice, touch. read more

I'm so frustrated with this place. They are really expensive! I have gone three times in the attempt to get my dry cleaning from them. First time I find out they dont take credit cards. Fine thats my fault I should have known, Second time on my way to work, their ticket says they open at 7am, the door says 7:30am and I waited between those time for someone to help me, still no one was there. Third time I finally got my cleaning, but it shouldnt take some many attempts. Also did I mention when I dropped off my laundry the woman had he toddler playing on the ground in her underwear while she chatted on the phone and ironed above the kids head. PS the ugly plants you have all over the entrance should go, your place is gross. read more

If I wanted attitude, I would ask my mom to do my laundry. This woman seems to want you to bring your clothes in already clean because she looks disgusted at everything I've brought in. One of the three times I've been in, the shirt wasn't even cleaned, I got the spot out myself with some hydrogen peroxide at home. Like other reviews, I only went back because I live close by and it is convenient. But after three visits with the same attitude, I will never be back. Take your stuff to Jin's instead. read more

This is the worst dry cleaners I've ever been to in my life. The woman at the front is disrespectful and yelled at me when I told her that a stain on my comforter had not been removed the first time I brought it in. When I came in to pick it up again she started yelling at me again. She does not understand how to treat her customers respectfully. Do not go to this dry cleaners. They send out all their clothes and whoever they send them to does not do a good job. The sweaters that I had cleaned had lint all over them when I picked them up. I do not recommend this dry cleaners because of their bad customer service and their mediocre cleaning. read more

My Cleaners...I don't think so. I dropped off a pair of pants to be hemmed at MC. I picked up my pants (4 day task) and headed home & put them on for the first time a couple days later. One leg was about 3/4" longer than the other. (Very obvious. My wife noticed right away from across the room.) I took them back to MC on Monday to be fixed. Another 3 days to repair one hem. I returned to pick up the pants and politely asked to have a discount on the other cleaning that I had dropped off. I explained to her that I have my own business and if I make a mistake on a customers order, I offer them something to compensate for the inconvenience. It's only right. That's when she lost it. Shouting! You don't understand Sir! I did not make a mistake! I did not even re-hem your pants because there was nothing wrong with them! (why did I bring them back in? So you could hang them on your rack for three days?) So here I am shouting with the dry cleaner lady. (over $4) It was a principal thing for me. Apparently she needed that $4 more than I. She could have easily offered me discount and a smile and I would have kept going there and giving her more business. Judging by some of the other reviews, they are getting enough business from people in the neighborhood who like the convenience of having a cleaner right around the corner. ( and believe me, they know it ) Why else would their prices be so high? read more

I have been taking my clothes for tailoring here for over a decade. If you need alterations this woman delivers. I've also never had a problem with their dry cleaning services. A+ in my opinion read more

Very nice staff. As mentioned by others, they remember my phone number and what I had altered or repaired before. One time I was there and walking home, it was raining, and they offered to drive me! Who does that? And the alterations, of course, were done well. read more

I was here yesterday and it was great. I've never had dry cleaning done to my jacket in the 2 years that I've owned it. It was perfect when I got it back and it look just like new. Highly recommend! read more

My husband took in five shirts to be cleaned, when he picked them up (three days later) they were $1.50 more, no reason given. My husband had jacket sleeves shortened. They shortened them too shot, never did anything about it. I had two pair of dress pants shortened. I told her it was too long when she did them she said it will be shorter. They were not and she took my money and refused to fix them for no charge. Her mistake. I took in a pillow cover to get cleaned. She said $4.75 to clean it. I was then charged $10.00. She is a money hungry lady. We REFUSE TO GO TO THIS RIP OFF JOINT CLEANERS AGAIN! Go to where they are honet. read more

I must say, we've been pretty lucky with cleaners since moving back to Chicago. This is about 2 blocks from our house and I just love it. I love the location - easy pick up/drop off..and I love the owners/people that work there. Christina has, from the beginning, been just lovely. She has remembered my name and my phone number from day one... I can't really comment on the $$, but will rely on others' knowledge of that...since no matter where we go, it seems similar in price. They have alterations as well - and so far, I've been very please with that too. read more

I find they are really helpful here, and timely. I've been going here for years and never have had anything not ready when I've come to pick it up. In fact, I moved out of the neighborhood but still come back here when I have more important things to clean or alter. They have done a particularly good job with pants I've brought in and needed the original hem on. read more

Horrible attitude. I have been nice each time i have gone in but the woman that works here is so surly. Recently, i came in and waited for 5 minutes before noticing that she was around the corner watching tv. We made eye contact, ahe continued her show so i finally said hello. Not a great cleaning job either. Such a bummer bc it is a cute little local place. read more

As a precursor to my review, I'll note that I visited My Cleaners one time for dry cleaning services prior to the experience described below. They did a satisfactory job on that occasion-- had it not been for that, I would have only given them one star. I would not recommend My Cleaners due to the bad customer service I received from them. I needed minor alterations for a bridesmaid's dress, and I only had a week to get the job done. I live close to My Cleaners, so they were my first choice for the task. I brought the dress in on a Saturday and explained the time constraints. The woman told me to leave the dress and come back on Tuesday, at which point she would let me know whether or not I'd need to go to the fabric store to pick up more material for the alterations. Due to a busy schedule, I couldn't risk the possibility of going on a last-minute hunt for fabric just a few days before I needed the dress. I thanked her and explained that because I was hoping to have the dress at home and ready-to-wear ASAP, I was going to look around a bit to see if someone could guarantee a completed job by Tuesday with no extra fabric. She seemed to understand--just business! I took the dress to Davis Imperial, even though it's a 30-minute drive from my place and they close at 6:30pm (not conducive to after-work pick-ups for me). I was willing to go out of my way because they had been recommended to me, and I needed the job done well and quickly. They finished the dress in three days for $25, and without extra fabric. After picking the dress up from Davis, I decided it would benefit from having the straps shortened. Since Davis was so far away, I thought I'd try My Cleaners again because it was an easy task and the woman had been friendly enough the first time around. I stopped in before work with the dress, explained that the alterations I had inquired about over the weekend were complete, and asked the woman if she might be able to help shorten the straps. I spent the next five minutes listening to her deliver a grade-school style guilt-trip for going to another seamstress for the initial work on the dress. I politely reminded her that I took it elsewhere because she had not been 100% on her ability to get the job done on time or without extra fabric. I almost left right then--I'm ready to hand her my money for a service, and rather than assess the job professionally and make the sale, she scolds me for having another seamstress take the dress out half an inch? I was in a hurry, so I asked her again if she thought she could help me with the task at hand or not--if not, I really needed to be on my way. At that point she told me to try on the dress, which I did. She then continued to lament about the first alterations and shake her head. It was awkward and embarrassing. Finally she told me to come back on Friday to pick up the dress. This was 8am on Wednesday morning. I told her Friday would be too late, could she get it done by Thursday late afternoon? Shortening straps on a dress is a pretty basic alterations task. I told her I understood if she needed to charge extra to have it done sooner. She said, "No same day service". I left. In retrospect, I wouldn't have been comfortable leaving the dress with her regardless of when she could get it done for fear of her enacting some weird, spiteful revenge for whatever personal betrayal she felt I had committed. To reprimand a new customer for being disloyal to your small business is absolutely ridiculous. I wouldn't return to My Cleaners to borrow a hanger, let alone give them any money. read more

I initially went to My Cleaners based on their location. On my first visit, they gave me a My Cleaners dry cleaning bag. A good marketing plan, as I felt compelled to return. The staff are friendly, and it's easy to pop in and out. They do a good job. As others have noted, the fees are a bit high. read more
