My first experience here was good, good pricing, and they can get stitching done very quickly. My second experience was not professional or positive. When I went in with 2 dresses to get buttons replaced for both of them, the girl at the front who is very young, acted sort of clueless, and said she would have to wait till the manager gets back to see if the buttons were available. Keep in mind it's freezing cold out to commute, so I was leaving my dresses there, not sure if they'd even be able to be taken care of. She said that they would text me if they did not have the buttons. I dropped those dresses off on a Wednesday, the pick up day was assigned to be Saturday. I get a text on Saturday saying that they don't have the buttons. Waiting 3 days to notify me that they did not have the buttons, not professional or considerate to the customer's time at all. It's one thing to not have the buttons in stock and not be able to check for them / see what can be done when the customer comes in, but to make them wait until the pick up day, and only text them on the official pick up day that you do not have the buttons is actually ridiculous and unprofessional. You should at least message or call the customer to make them aware soon after they came in, a day or two after is acceptable. Don't make the customer wait until the actual pick up day, as I thought I would be getting the dresses fixed. Had I known this is going to be this unprofessional, I would've dropped my dresses off elsewhere so they would've been ready for me in time. The other employees are mostly polite enough, but I don't know the name of the very young girl who works there, she was very quiet, and not knowing how to do her job. I've been bringing my clothes here for several years now - both for dry cleaning and for alterations. Within the 3 years, I have had consistently excellent service! I come here so frequently that my dog actually knows the place and stops when we walk by so she can say hi and get a dog treat :) I'm really picky about my clothes so I'm always hesitant when trying a new cleaners. In fact there's several others nearby I went to first that for various reasons led me to keep looking around until I found this one! For dry cleaning I've brought in my fair share of stains on silk and other difficult fabrics and am always pleased with the end result. Also for tailoring I've had a ton of designer skirts and dresses altered from silk to wool. Just today I picked up a Canada Goose jacket that was hemmed and it turned out wonderfully! Following the rave reviews posted here, I got two sweaters and a pair of pants patched up here. Being recession-friendly, I thought small holes shouldn't stop me from wearing expensive, nice clothes. The patching was shoddy and they didn't launder any of it even though I asked. I am now scrubbing off a patch of chocolate on a sweater at work that supposedly was laundered. If I can get it off, dry cleaning should do the trick Also, she must have known how bad the job was at the time because she grabbed my card and swiped it while I was inspecting the clothing. Ignore the other reviews. There are plenty of other places in the area who hopefully do what you pay them for - clean your clothes. read more

Why are you going anywhere else? :-) Seriously, I've lived in the area for 8 years and even though there's a cleaner in my bldg, I walk outside to go to Wells Cleaners. Kathy is always super-friendly, and I stop sometimes just to chat. She's also great at alterations and mending -- I bring my clothes in for alternation more than I use their cleaning services these days -- I just don't dry clean as much as I used to. But she's great if I need alterations done in a pinch, though I don't ask her to unless it's an emergency. read more

There are a bizarre amount of dry cleaners around me, within the same block there are two across the street from me and two on my side of the street, one being four doors down and Wells Cleaners being even closer. So, initially it was extreme convenience, or laziness, that lead me through the doors of Wells Cleaners but it's the service and friendliness that keeps me coming back. The owners are very nice and remembered me by name after only my first visit. Granted, my name is super common, but still, it always makes me feel a little bit of that 'Wells Cleaners' love when I'm remembered and addressed by name. I've had items cleaned here on several occasions and everything always comes back looking nice, and the prices are reasonable as well. I'd definitely agree with "Yay! I'm a fan." read more

Although I have a dry cleaner in my building, I prefer going to this one around the corner. They always do a great job and are very friendly. I've also gotten my jeans and pants hemmed here. They sew on the original hem for a reasonable price. read more

I agree with Ali below that this is the best place in the area to take your clothes to be dry cleaned. I have a dry cleaner in my building as well, but this one is so much better and I must say I'm much happier when I get the crisp clean shirts back from Wells Cleaner. They also do hemming, sewing, and basic repairs (ie- buttons) for a pretty decent price. They are good and they are fast, so that's where I take my dry cleaning! read more

I came here due to the amount of amazing reviews to get my bed set cleaned. The lady at the counter was very friendly but did not discuss prices or anything just told me to come back in a week which seemed pretty long but I agreed. When I came back in she had charged me over $100 for the cleaning...I was in shock. Not to mention when I got home to take the comforter out of the bag it was still soaking wet...I will definitely not return. read more

Brought in my brand new duvet cover. After paying for it and getting home, I found there were multiple large tears al over the duvet cover. I think had to go back and ask for a refund and still have yet to get my money for the duvet cover back. DONT USE THEM!!!!!! Unless you want your belongings to get ruined. read more

Owner is extremely conscientious. She treats my clothes as if they were her own, and I get them back cleaner than I do at other dry cleaners. Alterations are great and the prices are more than reasonable. I've even seen her deal with the inevitable disgruntled customer graciously and patiently. I really love Wells Cleaners and even though there are places closer to my apartment, I will go out of my way to go here because I love to support small business owners who have integrity and do great work. read more

My favorite place to get my stuff dry cleaned. There are plenty of places a little closer to me, but it's absolutely worth the longer trip. I can't believe how clean my clothes come back despite the stains and everything else I put my clothes through. They also do a great job taking care of rips, loose buttons, and doing an original hem on pants. The owner remembers me each time I go back and she's incredibly friendly. They returned an expensive gown to me with pinholes and snags in it; during cleaning, someone had pinned the heavy ball gown to a hanger by its delicate silk satin bodice. This sort of damage betrays either complete ignorance of how to handle delicate fabrics, or utter carelessness; I'm not sure what's worse in a a company whose business is caring for clothes. read more
