STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! We used to go here because it's in our building, but never again. The prices are expensive and the quality is horrible. My wife paid $20 to have a pair of jeans hemmed and the stitching came out extremely crooked. When she showed the owner, the lady refused to fix her work or even offer any sort of price adjustment - just shrugged and said there's nothing she can do. Wish I had read the other reviews first. This was my first time at this cleaners and there are loads of cleaners in my area. I have to admit I came here because the one across the street was closed. The lady behind the counter must have seen me look across the street because she asked what was wrong with the one across the street...lol I didn't know she noticed...anyway back to review. Horrible place and customer service. They don't deserve any stars, I wish I could give them a zero star review! Took my FAVORITE scarf in to get cleaned and asked if they could make a little patch work I did look better. I specifically said ONLY if they could, as the material is very fine. I literally had only done about 5 loose hand stitches just to stop the tear from spreading. I didn't look at it until I got home and I literally wanted to cry! Went back the next day to ask for a refund and show that they ruined my scarf. The lady told me it's fine and that I could just stuff it in my coat after she first sat down and started playing her iPad in the middle of me talking to her!!! read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS CLEANER, EVER! I took my $350 coat here for a standard clean, and they messed up my zipper. I had taken it home, went to take it off the hanger, and realized the zipper was split. I tried to fix it myself, no luck, so I immediately went back there and showed them. They wanted to keep the coat to fix it - fine. I go back the next day to pick it up, and the lady was straight up rude to me, trying to tell me that I wasn't zipping my coat correctly and that I just needed to be more careful. Every other time I've zipped the coat it WORKED JUST PERFECT until these people got their grubby hands on it. I snatched the coat out of this lady's hand while she was trying to teach me how to zip a coat as if I was an idiot, and left. Since then, the coat doesn't even zip correctly and now I have to go get the zipper completely replaced. Thanks, assholes, for ruining a perfectly good coat, taking my $16, and being completely condescending and rude about the entire thing. read more

After using several cleaners in Chicago, New York, and Boston, I can honestly say this is by far the best dry cleaner I have ever used. When I moved back to my home city of Chicago from Manhattan, I considered moving close to LaSalle cleaners a big plus. The owner provides very personal service and will actually repair garments without my asking. Her rates for alterations and garment mending are very reasonable while the turnaround time is excellent. The owners' services extends beyond basic repairs as I had her replace the lining of a $900 cashmere overcoat. The quality of this particular job was superb. Having a cleaner with this level of service is a big plus as I am often working 60+ hours per week and have very little time to deal with life's necessities. As an environmentalist, I also appreciate that the owner started promoting green reusable dry cleaning bags at no profit to her. This avoids waste associated with standard clear dry cleaning bags. Customers should understand that dry cleaners, in general, are likely to have issues when powerful chemicals are used to clean delicate garments. Dry cleaners can not assume 100% of the risk of damage to clothing with different fabrics, construction and dyes. While I have never had a problem with LaSalle Cleaners, I did have several issues with multiple cleaners in Boston. Several dry cleaners have suggested that I am a high maintenance customer, which I would probably acknowledge. Yet, LaSalle Cleaners has never let me down. read more

Took 7 pairs of jeans here for original hem (when they cut off the original hem and sew it back on after shortening the leg). Verified this when she wrote out the ticket and we talked about original hem and what it is - though it is an advertised service so she should know. Came back 5 days later and not a single pair was original hemmed. She did them all regular hem. I pointed this out and she reminded me of how it is "exactly the same thing, just without the fading and it is cheaper". Regardless of whether or not she felt regular hem was the better option, that was NOT what I'd asked for. She offered to "fix it" but to do so, the pants would all end up shorter than I wanted. THEY RUINED MY IVORY COAT...DO NOT GO HERE!!!! Terrible customer service. Brought in a $400 Ivory Coat and when I went to pick it up I noticed there was a huge yellow stain on the right sleeve that was not there when I brought it in. I left it with them to clean and she said they couldn't get it out. I have had this coat for a year and never had issues dry cleaning it at other cleaners until going to LaSalle. Lynn was terrible to work with and refused to refund the money that I paid for it to be cleaned. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Terrible customer service. I paid $60 dollars to have a Z Gallery blanket cleaned after my dog vomited on it. Picked it up a week later and put it back on the bed a few days after that. It smelled awful and come to find out still had the vomit stain. When I took it back they refused to clean it because I didn't take it back the very next day. Even with the smell and obvious stain. Wouldn't recommend them to anyone. read more
