I've always had positive experiences here for dry cleaning, which is why this morning was disappointing. Although Sam's advertises tailoring services, they declined to assist with basic measurements prior to ordering a bridesmaid dress, offering help only after the dress arrives for alterations. I'll be taking my dry cleaning and tailoring elsewhere going forward read more

Cleaning, repairs and alterations are all done professionally and speedily. Our preferred cleaner for over 20 years.

This place is always extremely friendly and helpful! I've had several bridesmaid and formal dresses altered here, and many dry cleaning services. All have been great! They're also very dog friendly if you're running errands with your four legged friend! read more

Do not get alterations done here. Took a brand new pair of jeans to be taken in at the waist and they are ruined. The stitching is awful and there's a hole. When I brought this to their attention they said it was there when I brought them in. read more

BEWARE. I came in a week prior on Thursday and gave her my pants to tailor for my sister's wedding. I gave her an entire week to finish this tailoring job, which is literally just bring the seams in from the sides. Week later, the next Thursday and nothing is done and then instead of owner owning up to her mistake, the owner just decided to say that her employees were on vacation and couldn't be done. I am beyond stressed and beyond frustrated now. Terrible service. I leave in 3 hours for the wedding and NOTHING IS DONE!!! DO NOT COME HERE FOR ANY TAILORING SERVICES. read more

Great prices and customer service. I used to go to Nick on Oak Street but switched to here after finding they do just as good a job in half the time on their alterations. read more

This place is great. They are always so friendly. I have taken pants, dresses, winter coats and my down comforter here several times and they always do a great job! Great neighborhood staple. read more

If you need a dress shortened, this is the place to go!!! Not only was my dress was shortened perfectly, it was ready in 24-hours. Also very much affordable. read more

Clearly I never learned my lesson. I had a bridesmaid dress taken in here and their version of taking the dress in was folding the fabric and running a stitch down the fold. Today I go to pick up a lululemon body suit that I had cut the bra liner out of as I have a larger chest. Given the history of their work on my bridesmaid dress I asked to see the jumpsuit prior to paying. The sew line was crooked across the hem and parts of the fold that needed to be sewn down were missed and not sewn down at all. I'm irate but more frustrated at myself for coming back in the first place. read more

I took few things to this place. One shirt was actually washed and thank God I checked. The lady that works there tells me the stain wouldnt come out and still wanted to charge me for another shirt. After I declined to pay for something that wasn't done she said she will try again. I came back and the stain miraculously came out second time. Then they lost the belt of a dress i brought in and claimed that it didnt have a belt on and tried to ridiculously overcharge me for something that few days later I took to another place for a quarter of the price they gave me. They are greedy and rude. Second star was just for the fact that they did a good job cleaning my shirts. Make sure to check what they did before paying for it read more

your tailoring is amazing I had fashion clothing that had some significant moth holes and Sam's tailors fixed them perfectly a beautiful job- additionally Sam's adjusted the skirt's length and made everyting far better than ever Eileen Mackevich read more

sam's cleaners was horrible. i brought three pairs of expensive linen slax to be dry cleaned. they sent them out to their laundry and they washed them and when confronted about dry cleaning and washing they pleaded they didn't know. they just send them out and their people do what they think is best. i was so frustrated with the "i don't understand what you mean. we sent it out and they do what they want. i am getting upset writing this. do not go to sam's cleaners, you will be sorry. read more

They are friendly, do awesome work and have a great system that sends you a text when your order is ready. I've taken dry cleaning and sewing work there. They are awesome! read more

They resurrected my favorite sweater. It's one of those gray, faux turtleneck, full zip-up jobs which are probably cliche and out of style but, whatever, it's become like a member of the family, I can rock it without flop sweating three seasons out of the year, and -- most importantly -- it hides my gut. It was like a loved one going into surgery, they talked me through what the procedure would entail, the risks and benefits. It took a while to settle on them because I'd brought the sweater to a few other places and they refused to do it, saying it would be too hard to do but Sam's went through what needed to be done and assured me to about 90-95% that they would be able to do it. I told them to go ahead, do whatever they had to do. At that point, considering the risk of the procedure and the effect on my quality of life, I was willing to go ahead with the radical zipper replacement. The whole thing went smoothly. I was willing to give them more but they said it would be about a week. They called me after a couple days and said there was some delay because they couldn't find the appropriate zipper but they would be able to get it over the weekend. I got the call on the Monday saying it was ready and when I picked it up, I felt like I was slipping into a time machine. It was dry cleaned and felt great. Like I'd just bought it. At the end of the day, the whole operation cost thirty bucks; even though I might have been willing to, I didn't have to spend $90 on an LL Bean version that just wouldn't have felt right; and I've never looked thinner. read more

Don't want to seem like I'm piling on here but, Sam's is terrible (I'm not the only one)... Don't go to this place! They destroyed my Hugo Boss slacks. Looks like they put them in the washing machine as there are little "sweater balls" all over them. Called them when I got home and they told me to bring them over. Ran back there expecting them to offer a solution. Instead, as soon as I walked in the lady who was at the counter said they never saw the pants! Then her husband/family member comes over and says, "even if we did clean those pants, we wouldn't have done that!" I show them the receipt that I JUST PAID and they still denied ever having the pants. What was worse than the damaged pants was the frustration! Why tell me to bring the pants back just to say they never saw them before? Over the phone they might as well have said, "too bad, don't know what to tell ya!" Terrible customer service! Trying to decide if it's worth it to take them to court like others, may just do it on GP! Shame on Sam! read more

I never knew I could love a dry cleaner the way I love Sam's Cleaners. The husband and wife who own the shop will make your day anytime you walk through their door. They are always kind and always enthusiastic to see you! Not only is the customer service amazing but their cleaning and tailoring services are fantastic. I've taken countless items to be dry cleaned and am always pleased. I take everything from formal dresses to skirts and pants to get tailored and I'm always happy with their work. So much love for Sam's Cleaners! They will make you feel like a valued customer anytime you see them! read more

I have been a customer for 15 years. They have provided very consistent high quality service. They do a good job with shirts and cleaning. They also have very good tailoring. The only negative is that they once lost a shirt. But they were very apologetic and they provided me with compensation. read more

They do a good job. They repaired a shirt I thought was a goner. But, their price per pound on laundry is really high. I wish it was a little bit lower. Dry cleaning prices are standard for the area. read more

Sam's Cleaners ruined a number of items before I finally learned my lesson and started taking my dry cleaning to one of the three other cleaners on the corner. First a coat came back with the liner torn from one sleeve where it attached at the cuff. I ignored this and let it go as a one off mistake. Then one dress shirt came back with several buttons cracked or missing, and another with stains that I have been unable to remove. Again I tried to look past this because they were close and convenient. Finally a pair of nice suit pants were altered so badly that they are now completely unwearable. When I went to talk to them about the pants the owner refused to accept any responsibility, told me that it wasn't her problem and that she didn't care if they weren't wearable, and then refused to talk to me for 15 minutes, walking to the back of the store and pretending that I wasn't there as I patiently tried to ask for help with my ruined suit. Save yourself the headache and disappointment and go to any of the other good dry cleaners on the block. read more

I took a *TWIN* size bedspread in, it was a vintage bedspread for I have 3 others just like it as I bought 4 at the same time.........all TWINS.......So they *tried* to charge me for a *double*, that did not work well with me. I went to pay the bill and pointed out the error, well the rude and condescending of the girl behind the counter did not like being told...........* You over charge your customers all for the sake of making a few extra dollars, well you can do that, but you just LOST a customer*.........I hate greedy people. Her attitude...............*so what*. Well for those of you that read yelp and I do all the time..............DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE FOR THEY WILL LIE AND CHEAT YOU FOR THE LAST DOLLAR THAT YOU HAVE..........CUSTOMER SERVICE AND OWNERS ARE CRAPPY IDIOTS. read more

There wasn't anything wrong with my garments, and, in fact, in that regard I think they did a great job. However, both times I have taken clothes there they were late having them ready. I could understand if I said I needed something in a rush or there major stains that needed extra attention, but that wasn't the case either time. Both occasions I came the day AFTER the estimated pick up time, yet not all the garments were ready. That being said, the people are friendly and they have delicious chocolates in a bowl at the register. So maybe if you don't urgently need your garments the tardiness is no big deal. read more

they ruined my lamb skin coat and they didn't even want to take accountability. Very bad place. Do not go.

DO NOT patronize this business! THEY ARE IRRESPONSIBLE LIARS. I was shopping for a new dry cleaner and make the mistake of trying Sam's. I dropped of a number of items including a coat with a detachable fur trim that i just purchased last month. They lost the fur trim and instead of extending the offer to look for it, the woman (who I assume is the owner) told me that she remembered me dropping it off with out a fur trim. I'm not sure how she could recall that sort of detail about one garment dropped off the previous week with more than 10 other pieces, I can only assume the standard operating procedure at Sam's is to lie and deny any responsibility. I will be filing a claim with the BBB taking Sam's to small claims court but save yourself the hassle of dealing this careless dry cleaner. read more
