I just started going here when I moved down the street about 7 years ago and they have always done such a fantastic job I figured it's high time I write a review. They have great customer service - I'm always greeted warmly and treated well. Their prices are insanely reasonable for the great work they do and they take credit/debit. Not only do I bring my dry cleaning here, they have been my go-to place for tailoring and alterations for work and formal clothes. Being petite I almost always need at least my pants hemmed. I just used them to tailor my suit for my upcoming wedding and they did a great job yet again working with me to shorten the sleeves and slimming the trousers. I had initially thought I should go to a more high end tailor for such an important personal event but after a terrible experience at a highly rated one in the area I decided I would much rather give Manor my money. The problem in this world is that they do not make men's jeans with a 31" inseam. Some stores and brands CLAIM they do, but I challenge you to find me a 31"x31" pair of great jeans and I will buy you a beer. Because the 30" was too short, I picked up a pair of 31"x32" boot-cut jeans from the Gap that fit me perfect but were a bit too long. Unfortunately for me, I thought about this Tuesday night but wanted to have them hemmed an in-hand by Thursday at 1PM before my NYC trip. I searched all over Yelp to find a place that would do a "rush job" (though what is so hard about hemming jeans that could take more than 2 days?) and came across Manor Cleaners. No one really mentioned the option of a "rush job", but when I called in advance to see if it could be done the lady assured me it wouldn't be a problem. And it wasn't. In by 6:30PM on Tuesday, out by 1:00PM on Thursday, at a cost of $10.50. $10.50!!!!!! Last time I got my jeans hemmed at another place it was $18.00. And they look good. And feel great. Rush job?! Pffft. This seems to be the standard service. Cheap. Friendly. Great. Ditch your slow, expensive tailor and go here! read more

I go here all the time. It's super close and they def know me. I'm super short, so I always get pants altered here and get my dry cleaning done sometimes. They even make deals! I had 2 identical pairs of pants hemmed, and they were still a bit long. I asked them if I could get them hemmed again but if they could charge a little less since they were still too long (it was my fault, I gave them wrong measurements). They discounted me. I think they usually charge $12 for altering, which beats the $18 and $22 I've gotten elsewhere! It's a small area, but you can try on clothes for them to alter. They aren't super fast, but I bet if you offered more $ they would do you good. read more

Husband a wife team had been doing my alterations and dry cleaning for years. Recently moved away to another state and leaving their service was a major bummer for me. They are kind and do a great job. If you ask her to do something that doesn't look quite right she'll tell you. I have now had multiple pieces of clothing damaged or returned in lackluster condition from Manor. I'm quite surprised at all the positive reviews to date. I found neither the service nor quality of work to be decent, let alone good. Here are my items cleaned (that word used loosely) in the last few weeks. Black Fall/Spring Jacket Came back streaky from what I assume were the chemicals. Long, silverly lines on most of it. I had to leave for a trip the day I picked it up, and didn't notice the lines until I arrived at my destination. The only reprieve (and why I didn't bring it back to be re-cleaned, god forbid) was that the lines faded a week later, just in time to return home. Additionally, the details sewn in on a front pocket were frayed and loosened. Not sure how this happened in a simple cleaning. Took it elsewhere to be repaired. Navy Blue Cotton/Cashmere Sweater Needed cleaning and repair for a 1/8 inch tear, which I mistakenly assumed would be free based on past experience with small tears at cleaners. It was returned to me with gritty, brown-ish stains on the sleeve cuff and spots throughout. The 1/8 inch tear cost $2.95 to fix... really? And to top it off the sweater came out faded and grayed. I had to go out of my way to ask for it to be re-cleaned given the brown mystery stuff, and also to ask for a refund on the original "clean" service. I was told they "work hard" and basically that I don't deserve a refund. After back-and-forth, the lady finally gave in to refund, only to tell me that she wouldn't re-clean it for me unless I paid. Ridiculous. I walked out and brought the sweater to another cleaner for a second opinion/cleaning. Black Cotton/Cashmere Sweater Needed it dry cleaned as I've previously done. It came back faded and grayed, with hairs and fuzz all over it. When I asked about this, they refused to take any responsibility for its newly faded condition, and that they would try to get the lint/hairs/fuzz that they missed off of it. For that, I could clean it with a lint roller. I'm not sure why it wasn't cleaned properly in the first place. And I didn't appreciate being told that it was faded before I brought it in. It wasn't, and no other cleaner has returned it to me faded. I was really hoping this place would work out as it's so close to my new apartment. read more

I've gotten clothes hemmed here, a new zipper on a pair of jeans, and LOADS of laundry done here when my washer/dryer broke. Every time the service is EXCEPTIONAL. They get things done so quickly (sooooo much quicker than neighboring dry cleaners) and it's always so inexpensive (again, soooo much cheaper than neighboring cleaners). I cannot recommend this place enough. Again, if you need anything done to your clothes, you should go here for great craftsmanship, in quick time, for an inexpensive rate. read more

The couple that owns Manor Cleaners is just as sweet as can be, not to mention they always manage to do an excellent job cleaning whatever I need cleaned. The pricing is about average from what I've seen. They offer all of the standard dry cleaning establishment goodness: dry cleaning (thank god!), laundry, & alterations. They may well offer more, but I rarely have a need even for all of those. The true wonder of Manor though is their customer service & delightfully charming personalities. Ok, I know how to hem pants, but when you are busy all the time, it's just easier to let someone else handle it. And Manor Cleaners is the best 'someone else' I've found. The couple that own the place asked me when I needed them by (rather than telling me when they would be done - wow, a place that still puts the customer first! fabulous!), and charged me 1/2 as much as Sew Special a block away. Wash & Fold service. We've been without access to a machine for a couple weeks and Manor Cleaners came to our rescue. I dropped off about 2 and half weeks of laundry and was able to get same day wash service (Mondays and Thursdays). They are very reasonably priced and I did not have any issues with any clothes that came back. We also included bedding, towels and rags with our everyday clothes. I am very loyal to a few things in my neighborhood and this dry cleaners is one of them. I actually walk past two other dry cleaners to come this place. The owners are EXTREMELY friendly and I have not had one problem yet. They are great with tailoring and can even tailor things in a short amount of time. No matter what I bring them or how much I bring them to fix or clean, they always have a smile on their faces. I also usually walk the dog over to pick up or drop off and they are dog friendly and don't mind if I bring him in. So if you are in the neighborhood I definitely recommend this place. read more

Take them your most delicate clothing and you'll have no need to worry. They will do an amazing job. I liked Manor Cleaners so much I even started taking my jeans in for dry cleaning. I also used them for tailoring and found the work to be really great and very affordable. I took in a heavily-beaded dress that had had some damage done to it. They rebeaded a huge portion of the dress for only $40. The woman who works there is SO nice and always gets stains out, hems redone, buttons replaced, and creases perfect -- I've never come in and had her "forget" to do something. Great attention to detail. Not the cheapest dry cleaner, but great for expensive items that you don't want to be ruined. read more

I've been going here a couple years, ever since I moved to the neighborhood. As other people have mentioned, the owners are very sweet and friendly. They always greet customers with a smile. I've gone to Manor for dry cleaning, hemming, dress alterations, zipper replacement, you name it. I've received compliments on the alterations too, specifically for a bridesmaid dress. Quality has never been a question. They are very quick - I don't think anything has taken over a week, and if I needed it sooner than that, they did it and did not charge me more. There are at least 4 other cleaners within a block or two, but Manor is definitely the best in that neighborhood for quality, price, time, and customer service. read more

STAY AWAY FROM THE DRY CLEANING. My clothing came back damaged. Both the shirt and the pants I had dropped off came back covered in black spots. On the pants was a deep blue ink stain; obviously a pen was in someone's pants (not mine, my pants didn't have pockets). But hey, I guess it's my fault for taking expensive clothes to a tiny mom and pop set-up. On the other hand, I gave them two starts because everything I've taken there for an alteration came back great. i once had my down comforter dry cleaned here, and it was half the price of other places and came back a whole new color of white i'd forgotten about. she had also added a little tiny patch over a hole free of charge. I don't regularly get clothes dry cleaned BUT what i do use manor for is wash and fold baby!!! woo!!!! ONE DOLLAR a pound with no minimum. allow me to elaborate. i mush most things i own into one of those meshy college laundry bags and draaag it downstairs. it's freaking heavy dude. they ask when i want it done by, i say whenever. they give me my receipt, and then, when i remember, i take said receipt and trade it in for what has now metamorphosed into two separate bags, full of folded clean clothes, divided handily into t-shirts, pants, socks (matched and folded!), panties, tanks tops, etc... wash and fold is also an amazing service for those who have too many clothes and not enough space and/or time to shove all those clothes in a closet. put them in the bag, drop them off right before guests, clear some space, get things organized, and then when you're ready, go re-introduce yourself to your garments. it's storage for your dirty clothes! it's like magic. cheap, perfect, amazing, clothes magic delivered with a smile by the sweetest woman in the world. and there're tootsie rolls. read more

I was so excited that a highly reviewed dry cleaners was just right down my street. I needed someone good to clean up a suit for me and a dress for the roommate for a wedding we were headed to. The place seemed like everything everyone had said, the people were friendly, the prices were reasonable, and they were able to dry clean it quick. My suit came out perfect and I was excited that it seemed to be the perfect place. The problem came with my roommate's dress, she noticed that the hem had completely came out, it was a new dress she only wore once. Also there were stains all over the dress and spots. She will be taking it back to see what happened and if they can fix the hem; but she was embarassed to wear the dress to the wedding and I felt bad for taking our stuff there. read more

Manor is my go to spot for alterations. Compared to my discount cleaners they are very expensive for dry cleaning, but they do an outstanding job if you need anything altered. They are quick, affordable, and you don't have to worry about their quality. I have had all my suits altered here and even had a pair of jeans shortened. read more

I've never had anything dry cleaned here but I have had some clothes altered. I had a new pair of suit pants hemmed and I also had an older pair let out a bit. As others have said, the owners are super friendly. If I recall it was around $12 for each of the alterations. The service was quick as well; took only a few days. I bought a new suit last week up at Jos. A Bank and the salesmen was trying to get me to use their tailor (who was backlogged 3 weeks!) I told him I'd take up to my tailor.
