My wife and I have been using Eve's Cleaners on a regular basis now for a few years. They consistently do a great job with our dry cleaning and have also done wonders getting out stains as well as repairing damaged clothing (they have salvaged more than a couple of my favorite clothing items that I thought would have to be discarded). The staff at Eve's is always extremely friendly and as another reviewer mentioned after a couple of visits they learn you name and recognize you. While they are not the cheapest dry cleaner in town, they are very reasonably priced, do better quality work than other dry cleaners we have tried and are the friendliest in town. Fantastic tailoring services, even if they are a little pricey. This is the place to go if you want the owners to remember your name and get all of your clothes to you. In the effort of full disclosure, I don't take all of my clothes to them for cleaning. They are too pricey and when we have used them for their same-day cleaning, we came back only to discover that they wouldn't be ready for another couple days. Definitely use them for their tailoring capabilities though. read more

I don't know if the lovely woman that works here is really named Eve. I doubt it, but my bf and I call her that anyway. No matter what her name is she's a friggin' miracle worker when it comes to tailoring. No job is too small or too big. We've all had those moments where you see a really fantastic shirt in your favorite store that you just have to have but low and behold, when you get it into the fitting room you realize there's a weird dart in the back that makes it bulge out giving you an unflattering silhouette? Normally I'd be devastated and hold back tears while I hung the shirt back on the rack because of one lousy design flaw. But wait! Dry your eyes! Take your shirt to Eve, she'll work her magic, and that dart will disappear as if it never existed. Perfect fit! I've taken other tailoring here as well as regular dry cleaning and it's always impeccable. read more

If I could give this pace zero starts, I would. I went there because a colleague had recommended it. I needed my wedding dress hemmed, and my friend said she had been taking her clothes there for years and really liked them. I was skeptical to take my gown to a cleaners for alterations, but it had been recommended and I had no other leads, so I gave it a go. Never again! They were rude and condescending. The lady pinning my dress seemed like she didn't know what she was doing, and kept asking me what I thought. Well, I thought the hem looked uneven, but every time I said something, she would "No, not too short, not too short", which you could obviously see was too short, and not at the same level as the other side. I ended up finding a great seamstress (thank God!) and took my dress out of here like a bat out of hell, since they wanted to charge $500 (!!!). Who knows how it would have turned out, if I had gone through with it. If you value good service, do yourself a favor and stay away from this place. read more

Eve's is fabulous. They greet me by name and are always pleasant and efficient. They've taken care of some pretty delicate fabrics and have done a fantastic job on countless alterations. I'd been going to Eve's for over four years, but my husband and I recently moved away from the area. We made it a point to go say goodbye to the lovely proprietor of this establishment - and she hugged is goodbye and wished us good luck. Could not ask for better service. Eve's always does a great job with cleaning, laundry, and alterations. For a while one of those one-price cleaners opened up across the street and we wouldn't touch it, out of loyalty to Eve's. Apparently a lot of other people felt the same way; the one-price cleaners had to shut down within about a year. read more

Eve's is great. I like the fact the owners get to know their customers. She knew me by name by the second visit. And they do a fine job cleaning the clothes. Eve's is priced comparably with other local cleaners. I guess you could go for a cheaper cleaning at the new minimalist chains, but I can't imagine the service is as good. read more

You would think that dry cleaning can be done anywhere but the best place to get it done is at Eve Cleaners. The staff is always attentive and friendly. The best thing about this place is they ALWAYS go above and beyond. I've had a couple dresses altered here and I appreciated their suggestions and quality of work. I always thought the owners were very nice. Until this year when I took in 25 white napkins along with 3 tablecloths to be laundered. And I picked up the cloths with 25 green napkins. The green color was very pretty....but it wasn't what I brought in. The kicker was that the owners argued with me (when I went back with extra white napkins I had at home to show them that they HAD changed the color). They insisted no, they did not dye them.....even though one of them had a turkey embroidered on it and I have another 6 at home that are WHITE with turkeys (my MIL's Thanksgiving napkins). The husband went so far as to say that since my husband was the one who dropped the laundry off, he must have done something before he brought them in. Oh yeah. Well that certainly made sense! He stopped along the way, dyed all of the napkins green and then brought them to Eve. A business's reputation is largely based on customer service. If you make a mistake, admit it and you'll keep your customers. To lie to a customer is unforgiveable. I wouldn't take a thing in to this place! They're dishonest and disreputable. read more

I really wanted to like this place as it's right down the street from me, but they've messed up too many times. One mistake, ok. Two mistakes, I've learned my lesson. First mistake: I brought my dress to be steamed and needed it done same day. I asked them repeatedly if this would be possible. "Oh yes, not a problem. What time do you need it by?, etc". Well, I go to pick up my dress at the aforementioned agreed upon time... and my dress wasn't there. "We forgot it!" the lady at the front says with a giggle (seriously?!). "Give us 30 minutes, we'll go pick it up". Perturbed, I ran a few errands and came back to pick up my dress and am greeted by a similar giggle. Not funny. She then asks me, "when do you need it by?" Seriously!? I needed it by the time I told you before!! Luckily there was a young man in the store that promised to hand deliver the dress as soon as they located it. Which he did, right before I had to go to my event. Whew. So, I decide to give them another go, as they did try to rectify the situation and I appreciated the hand delivery. This time I needed a dress cleaned and pressed and dropped off the dress a week in advance (I also told them I'd need the dress a day ahead of time, just to prevent any other issues as previously noted). So, I go to pick up my rehearsal dinner dress a day AFTER it was supposed to have been cleaned. The girl can't find it. She comes back and simply states, "I can't find your dress". Umm. That's not a response - I (try to) remain calm and ask her what she plans to do to locate my dress. She tries, unsuccessfully, to contact the owner of the cleaners to try to locate my dress. Then a man comes into the store and attempts to tell me to "come back in an hour" and that they have to try and get in touch with the owner to locate my dress. ARE YOU KIDDING ME. The dress was supposed to be ready the day before and not only is it not here but you can't find it?! So I go home and start looking through my closet for another dress that might suffice now that my perfect dress is "lost". The hour goes by; I've learned my lesson, so I call them to see if they've "found" my dress and the lady curtly responds, "yes, we have it" (like it hasn't been missing and I haven't had to make multiple trips to your cleaner to get my dress). I go to pick it up and am greeted by the same giggle. No apology, no guilt. She acts like it's no big deal. Ugh. So disgusted. These people need to learn how to run a business, although I will not be returning and would strongly recommend you go elsewhere if you'd like your stuff back in a timely and professional manner. read more
