I DO NOT recommend anyone going to this dry cleaners. Recently I dropped off a bunch of clothes to…read morethem and when I picked them up the next day, I saw that my dress pants were completely ruined. 1 of the pants had a burn mark and an iron imprint. The 2nd and 3rd pant had indentations of the inside material all over, which meant they kept the temperature on their iron too high. The next day, I went to the dry cleaners and showed all the markings on each pant to the guy that was working there. He seemed to be someone of importance because when I asked to speak with the manager, he was brought out. I told the guy that I got these pants dry cleaned at a dry cleaners located in downtown Chicago, and at that point, none of these markings were there. Then after wearing them to work, I gave them to Lux Cleaners and now all of these markings are there. I also informed him that each pant cost me roughly $40 to buy and now they are completely ruined. The guy had absolutely nothing helpful to say. Instead, he laughed at me and said that I created these markings. He basically thought I was there to con them into giving me some money back. I was stunned at his behavior and told him that instead of apologizing to him, he is insulting me. I also told him that I could care less about the money and if he had apologized to me then this situation would have been resolved, instead he just lost my business. I hope this message reaches many people in the surrounding area as I have high hopes that no one experiences what I experienced. Lux Cleaners is a horrible dry cleaners and they will NEVER admit when they have bad a mistake. They think we are all criminals, trying to get them to give us some money back. I would NEVER trust them with any of my clothes every again.

I took it back and they were "gracious" enough to charge me $4.75 for the dry cleaning. I don't think we'll be going back.

Avoid, avoid, avoid!!! This is the absolute worst cleaners I have ever used. I would give 0 stars…read moreif I could. I just moved by them and thought I would try them for dry cleaning, shirts laundered/pressed and 2 oriental rugs. I should have heeded my GF's warning based upon her previous experience with them where they lost her clothing and didn't seem to really care, including arguing with her that she hadn't even brought it there. Yes, they ended up finding it, but no apology, no customer service, nothing. I don't think the lady that owns it really cares. Back to my experience... The owner (Suh) absolutely lied to me when I was talking to her about having the two oriental wool rugs cleaned. She first told me she sends them out to a local source who professionally cleans them through a machine specifically for this purpose. When I got the rugs back, they obviously were't cleaned this way. It appeared that just the surface was cleaned because there was a ton of dirt that came out of them when we unrolled it to check them after picking them up. When I discussed the cleaning method again, she said they don't clean it using the machine method. Wow, just wow. I couldn't believe it. What was worse was her attitude. No, wait...what was worse was the fact that they ruined one of the rugs that cost me about $2K. It appeared that it sat rolled up in some kind of water/liquid while they had it because the backing of that rug was severely stained when she gave it back to me. She took them back to try to clean them and get the stains out of the backing but gave them back to me again in the exact same condition. When I brought them back again, she just didn't care. I don't think I've ever had an experience with someone who is in a service business who just didn't care. Then she tried to tell me that I initially brought the rug in to her already stained. I again showed her the time/date stamped photos I took of the rugs (front and back) on the day I initially brought them into her...no stains in the photos. She just kept insisting that I did this. Kind of like when she lost my GF's clothes, Suh kept insisting that they were never brought there. Crazy, right? So, I'm out the $$ for the cleaning and I have a ruined $2K rug. Nice. That's not all... When I picked up a batch of shirts a couple of days later, the press had broken a couple of the top buttons on a couple of shirts and the front white shirt (in the bunch) had black smudge spots on it from the press or something. I couldn't believe they would try to give shirts back this way. Yup, you guessed it...according to Su, it was my fault and I brought the shirts in that way. Avoid, avoid, avoid. There are a ton of cleaners in the area, including several with great yelp reviews. Try those...seems I've found a good one and it is not Chicago's Cleaners. We've since talked to other people in the neighborhood about our experiences with Chicago's Cleaners and found out there are quite a number of others that have had bad experiences also. Avoid!

Sadly, Ontario Cleaners follows the trend of the lack of decent cleaners in River North. First,…read morethe positives. One, they have a great location. I know it depends where you live, but they are very central to the Western part of River North and the next cleaners over is more expensive and not really much of an upgrade. Two, it's not a bad value. For example, the cost of laundered shirt is under $2.00. However, what I believe separates a just ok cleaners from a great cleaners is service and the ability to get out stains. While the staff is nice, they just do not go that extra mile. For example, I brought in a tie to have a stain removed. After they failed to get out stain on two tries, I asked to receive some sort of credit or discount. They literally told me that I had pay full price as it was my fault for stain. I get it, I stained the tie (not intentionally), but from past experience, I have never had a cleaners overtly blame me for a stain or at least make some sort of accommodation if they had also failed to deliver on the service. Another example was a time I asked for minor sewing repair. From past experience, I have been not charged for on the stop minor repairs. It's kinder like a thank your or favor for giving the cleaners a ton of business. It's the failure to achieve the goal of removing stains and lack of reasonable accommodation that does this place in. It's not a terrible cleaners, there are worse cleaners in River North, but if you have another option, you should take it.
