I am short so I always have to get my pants hemmed and since this location has opened, I have always brought them to Kenny to get tailored. Typically, I leave a sample of pants in the past to measure the inseam and use the length to hem the pants. This has worked for me a few times so I have gotten to the habit of doing this..until this last trip, I left two pairs of jeans and a sample (side note: it took me forever to find skinny jeans that fit me well so I was glad I finally found two!) .. When I picked it up, to my dismay, they were both too short. They were almost to my ankle. So the next day, I came by when the tailor was in... and told him my dilemma. He showed that the inseam on the pants was exactly the same as my sample and he even gave a few centimeters leeway. This made me realize that he did his job precisely and this was entirely my fault for not coming in when he was in and not trying them on.. I then tried them on and showed him how they looked on me (sample, vs, the hemmed pants), he agreed that although the inseam was the same the hemmed pants were just too short and we both had a laugh realizing that the fit of the jeans were just really different. He then proceeded to look for the piece that he cut off so he can sew the original hem back on and thank god he found them! He agreed to lengthen the pants and didn't charge me for it. The lengthened pants are now the perfect length and I am now a happy camper. That said, I highly recommend this place for tailoring - they are super professional and willing to fix things even if it is the customer's fault! Overall, this place also does a decent job of dry cleaning.. reasonable price and very timely.

My husband brought his brand new tuxedo in for alterations and they made several mistakes.... one pant leg is longer than the other (see pics), they shortened the sleeves and put the buttons on crooked, there were lumps and bumps at one of the armholes that they altered and said it was "because of the fabric" even though the other one was fine. They altered my sequin pants with the sewing machine instead of by hand and they look awful! Plus the quality of work is terrible (see photos). I had to undo the hem and hand stitch myself.

What a shock to be charged 3X what I paid the first time and also more than double what the dress cost to buy just to shorten it. This is poorly informed. All cleaning uses chemicals. The way you clean, is you have to use a lipophilic agent that removes dirt and oils from clothes. There's no magical way around that. The important question is whether castile or plant-based cleaning agents are used. In which case, that is what they use at Kenilworth Cleaners. Either way, I have been getting most of my dry cleaning done at this mom and pop shop for the past 3 years and my clothes have never smelled better, been pressed better, and have been cleaner than any other dry cleaner I've used. As for the second 1 star review that says "the owner was rude because she asked me to call back later because she was already helping a customer"...umm, that sounds like the caller herself needs a 1 star review. In fact, I read through her reviews on her profile and she goes around town giving everyone 1 star reviews, always asking to speak to a manager and finding out they are "rude" as well. There's an old saying about this.... The people who work at Kenilworth are absolutely wonderful. I recommend checking it out for yourself.
