This place is SO wonderful! Fixed and cleaned my outdoor couch cushions in less than a week and they turned out good as new!

Had a couple dress altered shorter here. The first time they charged about $30, and it worked out…read moregreat. The second and more recent time they charged $88 to shorten a $40 dress. What a shock to be charged 3X what I paid the first time and also more than double what the dress cost to buy just to shorten it. Maybe $88 is the going rate now to do an alteration shorten dresses now at all places, but it shocked me and another customer who overheard and was there at the same time. Beware. Get a quote before doing any alteration work here. Two stars for the surprise and sticker shock.

There are some questionable 1 star reviews here for Kenilworth Cleaners…read more One person writes that the clothes smell like "chemicals" and therefore it can't be "organic" or environmentally friendly cleaning. This is poorly informed. All cleaning uses chemicals. The way you clean, is you have to use a lipophilic agent that removes dirt and oils from clothes. There's no magical way around that. The important question is whether castile or plant-based cleaning agents are used. In which case, that is what they use at Kenilworth Cleaners. Either way, I have been getting most of my dry cleaning done at this mom and pop shop for the past 3 years and my clothes have never smelled better, been pressed better, and have been cleaner than any other dry cleaner I've used. As for the second 1 star review that says "the owner was rude because she asked me to call back later because she was already helping a customer"...umm, that sounds like the caller herself needs a 1 star review. In fact, I read through her reviews on her profile and she goes around town giving everyone 1 star reviews, always asking to speak to a manager and finding out they are "rude" as well. There's an old saying about this.... The people who work at Kenilworth are absolutely wonderful. I recommend checking it out for yourself.
