Cute little spot in Shockoe Bottom ! Main st has so many cutie shops to travel to- just stop by here real quick for a coffee before you wander about ! Their prices are fairly cheap & the service is quick for how busy they get ! They have a patio upstairs but I didn't get the time to check it out. The baked goods were yummy & I can't wait to try more !

This was the perfect stop during my day trip in Richmond. The interior is such an awesome vibe. Located in the corner, the interior boasts whites, blacks and wood. Their coffees, lattes and other drinks really are perfect! They are perfectly made and hit the spot. I devoured a sandwich whole there and enjoyed a latte. The bread was fresh, lettuce was crisp and the tomato was ripe. They also have a nice selection of hot tea. There is seating available or you can take your treats to go. Don't pass up Whisk!

Disappointed, don't come here for the chai. Maybe I just ordered the wrong things? Chai latte and the chai is concentrated not real. I got the Richmonder sandwich and it's an overpriced school lunch sandwich. The turkey is off putting and the cheese looks like government cheese. Is that a Richmond thing ? Also pretty cramped seating and not the most comfortable chairs either.

Finding a truly good, buttery croissant is difficult these days, but Whisk has succeeded! Their freshly baked, crunchy, and buttery croissants make it a must-visit breakfast stop for whenever I'm in Richmond area.

Cute little coffee shop and bakery with friendly associates and mediocre sandwiches. I decided to stop in for lunch on a rainy Saturday. There were quite a few people sitting on their computers when I walked in. I opted for a Parisian sandwich: ham and cheese on a baguette with mustard butter. To say the sandwich was underwhelming would be an understatement. The ham and cheese were tasty, but the mustard butter was slathered on the bread and was definitely more butter than mustard. Perhaps most disappointing was the bread, that was soggy and actually stale on the edge where it had been cut, not crunchy like real baguettes should be. I had high hopes that I had found a good French bakery, but I'll keep looking.

I didn't love the pumpkin spice cupcake I got. I tried to interact with the cashier to help find a coffee to use their batch maple syrup in, but he wasn't helpful instead a bit short. I walked away with a drip coffee which was robust, albeit average. My friend got a funfetti cookie sandwich which was super sweet. I wasn't sure if this was the normal proprietor, but he seemed off. For a specialty coffee spot and this more premium prices, I expected more.

A solid choice for some takeout coffee and sweets - the homemade syrups are a nice personalized spin on everything, and the Cinnabun-flavored one made for a great addition to their drip coffee :) we ordered a ham/cheese and a chocolate croissant - sweet and savory for the win! Wish they warmed them - and that there were some more dairy-free options for my partner, but was still pretty delicious! Quick service too - wish there was some more indoor space for seating but overall no significant complaints!

Macarons! Big and amazing. These were some of the best macarons I've ever had. Also got the peanut butter truffles that were delish!

Fun little coffee shop!! I came too late in the day for most pastries, but really enjoyed my colorful confetti cookie. The blueberry matcha I had was also creative and delicious. The sandwiches were just okay, not too filled with toppings. But when you're coming to a place like this, that's not the main attraction anyway. I am excited to go back and try a few more coffees, and hopefully the pastries too!

I wish I had visited this place earlier during my vacation. It has the best croissants and coffee in downtown Richmond. The croissants are freshly baked in the facility, and I especially enjoyed the ham and cheese croissant. I also indulged in a Caramel iced latte, which was surprisingly strong (which aligned with my preference), and a triple chocolate brownie, which was so fudgy and delightful. My husband got an Iced matcha latte, which he thought was very light, with the right amount of sweetness. Whisk is charming, well managed, and though small with only 2 baristas at the time, we managed to beat the morning rush before 8 a.m., and get to our destination on time. 10/10 recommend!

Quaint Coffee Shop In The Midst of Downtown RVA The staff was pleasant and accommodated all of my changes with available alternatives. I enjoyed the cappuccino with almond milk instead of dairy milk- Gave it a smooth creamy flavor- 10/10. Tried the Richmonder sandwich without bacon aioli instead with mustard butter. The sandwich was ok and the mustard butter was delicious- 6/10. Seating was available along with WiFi. Convenient neighborhood coffee shop if you are in the Shockoe Bottom area, perfect walking distance. Only street parking. Recommend trying the milk alternatives which are almond and oat milk.

What dessert options there are dairy and soy free?

They do not have dairy and soy free options as they stick to traditional french baking traditions, ie lots of butter.

    Are dogs allowed?

Hi Christy! We do have a patio located in the back of our building and we encourage customers to bring dogs to the patio.

I ordered several of the savory scones and a couple of cookies and loved them all. Both the cookies and scones vary by flavor but we had a sweet potato scone and a lavender flavored scone. I would not normally have ordered a lavender flavored anything but my wife loves it and I am glad she does. I tried it and struggled to leave any for her. I at almost the entire scone. The sweet potato was equally as good but with a much milder flavor. And the cookies....out of this world! The servers were friendly but nothing over the top. They seemed to be a cog in the machine and churning out orders. Overall, a cute little, vegan, spot with really good pastries and coffee. Head caution on the milkshakes if you are not use to vegan milkshakes. While they taste good, at least to me, they are wildly different than an cows milk milkshake. Alot of people are shocked by this and turned off by the flavor.

The ambiance was clean and orderly. Upon entering, you grab a serving tray lined with parchment and some tongs. The items are in a glass enclosed display that you have to open and place your selections on your tray for purchase. I settled on the pistachio cream filled pecan pastry, the almond twist, and strawberry shortcake. The beverage menu was extensive: matcha, flavored teas, cocoa, espresso/coffee, and more. We were greeted by pleasant staff at checkout and our orders placed in a parchment type bag for take out. They also have seating inside. The pastries were just sweet enough without being overly sweet, which I like. The pistachio cream was a perfect compliment to the pecan encrusted pastry. The almond twist was both flaky and crunchy with the sliced almonds on top, and the strawberry shortcake had layers of real strawberries, whipped topping and yellow cake that was moist. All were fresh. All in all, a great place to stop by for a morning pastry treat and tea/coffee while in the area,

It was brusque but mostly not overtly rude, perhaps they were just busy getting ready. I ordered the charcuterie board ($28), a chicken salad croissant sandwich ($14), and the Lavender Bees Knees ($8). The drink was very pretty but not super flavorful. The chicken salad was good enough, but I think the croissant alone would have been wonderful. The charcuterie board had a substitutions I was not made aware of upon ordering (no pepper jelly, blanched almonds instead of candied pecans, and a green onion mixed type goat cheese with bacon in it instead of maple bacon goat cheese). They did add little pickles and the presentation was pretty enough, but no flowers like the owner posted photo on here. The meat was pretty thick which could be a positive or negative depending on personal preference, and the meat was decent quality. The fig jam was very good. The waitress who was helping the other tables had brought my food out but didn't check on me at all. I had to go up to the counter again to order a cinnamon roll ($8) and a coffee ($5) which she brought out to me. The coffee was nice and dark (Cameo blend) and incredibly hot. The cinnamon roll was okay, not very much cinnamon flavor but it was delicate and the icing was decent. The interior was pretty and it was a good spot to read a book and spend a morning.
