Food stuck to the table. Gross.
    Laura S.

Dirty. I was served an orange slice for my tropical tea in a dirty bowl. (See photo) The orange slices were soggy, wet and appeared used. (Photo) Our table had dried food stuck to the table. Gross. The chili and chicken soup were served right out of the can. (Or at best tasted from a can) I used to like the bakery. None of our cake or brownies tasted good. They were 'ok' and 'looked' GREAT. The taste was blah. The ambiance is ok, busy and loud. The service is like that of a fast food breakfast diner. Not what I was looking for to have lunch with my mom. $35 for 2 cups of soup and 2 iced tea.

Butcher Shoppe Quiche, baked apples, and hollandaise sauce. (The Blueberry Struedel in the background was too good to wait for a photo.)

Wheatfields was recommended to us by friends -- that was a great suggestion! Service was good and the food was delicious. I ordered the Butcher Shoppe Quiche which comes with a Struedel and a side of baked apples. For my Struedel, I choose Blueberry. It was served with fresh, housemade whipped cream -- totally delectable! The quiche was great too, with plenty of chunked ham and a good-sized sausage. The accompanying hollandaise sauce was terrific to boot! My wife had the Omaha's French Dip. Healthy amounts of thin-sliced tender beef topped with Swiss cheese filled a long baguette and she liked the au jus flavor too. We plan to return in the future.

Yes, this is coffee and it's very weak

We used to come in here in December to see Santa and have an amazing breakfast. No Santa on this December day. Kids were disappointed. They weren't really busy, but it took quite a while for us to get our drinks. Daughter's coffee was very weak as was my iced tea- - when I got a refill I asked for no ice and it was still very weak. Her 2nd cup of coffee was better. Kids meals are eight dollars and do not include a drink. That seems to be pretty standard and they were good. One had the waffle, one had the French toast and one had the eggs, bacon and muffin. My daughter ordered the breakfast wrap and had a cinnamon roll on the side. She said it was good - - just a bit dry on the corner. My scrambled eggs with bacon and cheese was really good. It came with a big slice of Christmas roll, which I knew the children would enjoy. As for the Christmas roll - - the cake part was kind of dry and it has lots of frosting. It's an expensive place for breakfast for a family. The waitress was very attentive. They had a few Christmas decorations to add to a festive atmosphere

I recently went to Wheatfields to purchase desserts, so I cannot speak to the food served in the restaurant. I purchased the strawberry wedding cake and chocolate chip cookie for myself, my mom had the German Chocolate cake, my grandma had the chocolate cake, and my brother had the coconut cream pie. Everyone loved all of their desserts and they were all moist. I would definitely return. There were so many choices so everyone will find something they like.

I've been here plenty of times before and try to give this place a chance, so this review is indeed justified. In my opinion, they just keep falling short on hot menu items, the bakery items are actually really good. This last time, I got what was a poor attempt at apple crepes and it was simply horrible, the crepes were thick and it was like they took a can of apples and poured them on the crepes.. just not a good experience overall... Wheatfields has the potential to be great, but needs a complete menu overhaul!

This was a pretty meh experience, the special crepes I was really excited about and I'm not sure what they were but they were absolutely not French crepes. Thin pancakes at best. Service was slow but they did split our check for us. Price was high but you did get a lot of food. Probably won't return as this isn't my type of food I prefer, I was hoping for a more authentic French crepe but was disappointed.

Wheatfields is the best bakery is Omaha! Their strawberry wedding cake is unmatched! Everything I have ever tried from there is amazing. The shop is set up nicely so you can see all the different baked goods they have to offer and can browse easily. The people there are so nice and were able to answer all of our questions. This place is great!

Adding to my review as this was my first time, trying their famous strawberry wedding cake! It was beautiful, and tasted delicious. The cake itself was very light, fluffy, and moist. The frosting was plentiful, but not too thick or overbearing. It was light and fluffy itself as well. The middle layer of frosting with strawberries was my favorite part! Absolutely a delicious flavor combination with all of this together. Would definitely get this again!

Great pastry selection, but their entree selection and customer service is something to be desired and a little awful because it was completly non-existent. Even after the manager was informed of the extremely long wait for orders to be taken, mean while there were very few customers, but the folks that arrived afterwards were able to be serviced before me which I was a party of one.

I ordered breakfast catering the day before and wanted it picked up at 9 o'clock. The food wasn't ready until 930 and nobody was moving very fast so the service was very poor To add, they had a picture of Donald Trump's mug shot to be seen for everybody like it was some sort of trophy. I ordered a pan of scrambled eggs sausage for five people, eat cinnamon rolls, coffee and some orange juice and it was over $200. Giant rip off. Will never cater here again.

The best food at Wheatfields is hands down their baked goods! Must try the cinnamon rolls! Breakfast items otherwise were ok, and service was a bit slow. We got a strawberry cake to go when was delicious! Decorations look like a grandma's kitchen.

Big portions. Fairly good food. The bakery is the highlight. The facility has been allowed to run down over the years.

We were seated within just a few minutes of arriving. I almost always choose a smoked salmon Benedict when it's on the menu, and this one was served with hash browns and a side of fresh fruit. I also added a few strips of bacon, which was a nice addition. My daughter ordered the chocolate chip pancakes and really enjoyed them. My husband chose the breakfast enchiladas--two flour tortillas filled with scrambled eggs, ham, bacon, and mojo cheese, then topped with black bean salsa, creamy salsa verde, avocado, cilantro, and pico de gallo. They were served with roasted red potatoes. Overall, it's a decent breakfast spot with good food and friendly service, though I found the prices to be a bit on the higher side.

My wife and I both ordered the Everett's #2 with pulled chicken, coleslaw, and BBQ sauce. Everything just worked together perfectly. The chicken was tender, the slaw added the right crunch, and the bun tied it all together. It was one of those sandwiches where after the first bite you just look at each other and know you made the right choice. We also ordered the Saucy Rossy wings and they were the perfect heat level for both of us. Not so mild that they're boring and not so hot that you're suffering. Pro tip: get them fried and grilled. The extra texture and flavor are absolutely worth it. My wife is a total Brussels sprouts snob and she was absolutely in love with theirs. The funny part is that I'm usually not much of a Brussels sprouts person, but I kept asking for more off her plate. That alone should tell you how good they were. The fries were okay. Nothing that stole the show, but nothing to complain about either. The service wasn't the best during our visit, but they also had a 30-person table they were dealing with, so it was completely understandable. Even with that, the food was so good that it's already a top 3 meal for my wife. We'll definitely be thinking about those sandwiches, wings, and Brussels sprouts until we're back, and I don't think that'll take very long.

I don't know what it was. The chicken tenders were way over-seasoned, and I ordered the original, not the Nashville Hot - My order was piping hot, but almost appeared burnt. We didnt know what to expect as we have never been to a Charleston's. It was nice, clean, and fancier than I thought it would be. The bartender was friendly and attentive and we were served right away. They have really good happy hour drink deals. 8 diff cocktails all $8 each. I got the crisp martini and my husband got the old fashioned. Both were good but the old fashioned was a little too sweet. For our appetizer we got the shrimp carrot which was super buttery and cheesy. We also split the flat iron steak special. We ordered it medium rare and it was more of a medium well. It was on the salty side and the steak had the same texture as ham or like a school lunch meat....something about it reminded me of a jerky too. It was interesting and didnt taste bad but unlike any steak texture I've ever had. It cost $29 so wasn't expensive for a steak but I guess we should've gone next door to Mahogany Prime if we wanted good steak or even Texas Roadhouse up the way. Even though we were disappointed with the steak we still had a great time. Will def come back and try a salad or the chicken piccata. Based on the steak, I would give the review a 3 but bc everything else was great, leaving it at a 4 bc I think we just ordered the wrong thing.

I ordered a margarita with…read moreno salt, but it was brought out with a salted rim, and I can see that salt dripped into the drink. I asked for it to be remade. What happened next was unacceptable. I watched the waitress take the drink back to the bar, where the bartender (with his hair parted in the middle) poured the margarita out of and over the salted rim, into a different glass instead of making a new one. That same drink was then brought back to me. This isn't just poor service, it's a serious health and safety concern for me. There is a reason I asked for no salt. Rather than admitting a mistake and correcting it properly, they chose to cut corners and hope I wouldn't notice. If I hadn't seen it happen, I would have unknowingly consumed something I specifically asked to avoid. There were other issues during the visit, but this alone is enough to ensure I won't be returning. Trust is critical when dining out, and unfortunately, this experience showed that it's lacking here.
