    Breakfast before my flight.
    Veronica G.

Finally tried breakfast at Whataburger. It did not disappoint. The ingredients were freshly cooked and flavorful. The breakfast meal was filling. On the downside, this was a very busy airport Whataburger. Service was not the fastest. I would not recommend this particular place if you're in a hurry. On the bright side that just tells you how good it is. Everybody wants some.! Busy, busy, busy! I wish they would find a way to speed it up and make the experience more relaxing.

My first Whataburger was at this location. My flight was in a different area of the airport but I venture to area D specifically for this. I used the self ordering screen to order because I had no clue what they had and what I wanted. I had heard people mention the patty melts so I opted for one of those. I paid and sat down and waited. When my order came out I had to remind the gentleman that I ordered a bottle of water which he grabbed for me. The burger was super good. I wished I had gotten a double because it was so tasty. I got it the way it normally comes which is with fried onions, a spicy special sauce and cheese (I think). The fries were good and the spicy ketchup for dipping was a nice surprise. I'll definitely seek out another Whataburger and probably get the same thing. They had shakes and other unique side options as well.

We were hungry during our layover and so we decided to give Whataburger a try. My friends who lived in Texas loves this place. We tried it once when we visited a long time ago. So, we went to remind us what the fuss was about. When we got there, we ordered our food from the kiosk. Since we were there for breakfast, their breakfast board at their ordering counter was quickly rotating and so we couldn't see the breakfast menu well. It was early to order at their kiosk. So that is a plus. Better than the McDonald's kiosk, if you asked me. We ordered the breakfast bowl with bacon. It came with a good amount of bacon, two biscuits, gravy, a small piece of hash brown and scrambled eggs. After you order and pay, you have to walk to the other side of the restaurant to get your food. We had Shannon call out the order numbers and she was super loud and clear. Which I appreciated. My husband commented that she was very nice when interacting with him as well. Thank you, Shannon! Shoot out to you! Their breakfast was a pretty good size to me. We made it a meal so it came with a medium drink ( we got sweet tea) and you get a choice of hash brown or fries. We chose the fries. Overall, everything was yummy for fast food. And it fed the both of us. We will be returning to try their burgers again if where in the neighborhood.

As a west coast resident I wanted to know this brouhaha about Whataburger. While I was in the airport, that's the closest I'll probably get to try this place, I knew I had to try it. The format of ordering at this location went by very quickly. The place is small so I took it to my gate. The staff is extremely friendly and is there to help you. For around 12 dollars I was able to get a full meal. The drink size was huge and it was a medium. Got a classic burger and some fries just to judge the basics. The burger was good and most. The meat patty very well seasoned. My fault for adding the ketchup and mayo, it was a bit much. The fries were more on the thinner side but seasoned with salt, substantially but overdoing it.

Line was quick and the wait wasn't long. The burger was everything you'd want with the crispy edges This one is located in concourse E and since we had time we came from another concourse. 100% worth it.

I was here at DFW in terminal D around lunchtime for my connecting flight home. I just had to stop here for lunch. When in Rome, right? Per the usual with most places these days, I skipped the line and placed my order using one of the ordering kiosks. The pickup location was on the other end of the restaurant. I ordered a Bacon & Cheese Whataburger and made it a Whatameal. For my drink, I got their orange juice as a healthier option to soda. Also it was only slightly more than the cost of a bottle of water. For my fries, I got some spicy ketchup, one of the best condiments out there for fries!

Every time I'm flying out of DFW at gate D, I always grab a burger at Whataburger. My usual is the burger combo with large onion rings. There's a kiosk set up to place your order if there's a long line. After placing an order, walk to the end of the restaurant where pick up window is located. The restaurant is small, really design as a togo rather than dining in. There's a few tables and booths. I usually take my food and eat at the gate while waiting for my plane to arrive.

Went to Whataburger Dallas Terminal for a quick bite. The Cashier was very pleasant even she looks tired but still smiling. We got our orders within few minutes. The sandwiches are good but the fries are cold and soggy. I went to the counter and ask if they can give us some fresh fries, the lady have a bit of attitude and told the in charge if we're asking for new fries. No apologies for serving us cold fries and the staff at prep area have no customer service. The restaurant is clean but the staff can check the tables instead of just talking to each other. Conveniently located at the terminal and it's near the Skyway.

It's airport food. What you expect? A 5 star rating? But really, what makes this a 2 star is not the food quality. (Make no mistake about it though, it's 3 stars at best). But it's the staff. Yikes. It was uncomfortable there. They were rude and everyone could hear them arguing amongst themselves in the back. None of the tables were wiped clean so I decided to take mine to go. It's not the greatest of quality of food and it's super overpriced. By a lot. So all of that is to say, if this is your only time to be in Texas then sure, support regional restaurants and eat here! Otherwise there's an Applebees next door where you'll probably get more bang for your buck and maybe... just maybe... a decent dining experience (and a clean place to sit).

Fancy ketchup is just regular ketchup lol. Service was quick and helpful. Overall a good experience for my first time try whataburger. Fries were not seasoned or fresh though.

Such poor service, I got fries that was barley cooked right, my chicken sandwich had sauce all over it, when I requested on the side. Stood in line for 20 minutes, just to get a refund.

While flying through DFW we had just over an hour to kill and went to the Centurion lounge, but after waiting in line about 5 minutes and noticing that both elevators that took you to the lounge upstairs were broken, we turned around, saw Whataburger and decided to give them a try instead. This particular Whataburger looks pretty new. The lady taking orders was very friendly and helpful and patient. They were somewhat busy, but we were able to get through the line and place our order in decent time. The food took quite a while to be made and some of it wasn't too hot, more like just warm when it came out, but it all tasted great! And they have lots of fun sauces for fries and such to dip into. I'm hoping the issues we experienced were just growing pains from this potentially new location and they work through them soon. I'll definitely return.

Whataburger for the win!!!! The service is to expected for airport travels. An 2 hour layover is plenty enough time to grab a bit to eat here before getting to your gate. Hot & fresh, made to order.

Can't go wrong with Whataburger. I always stop when passing through DFW. Lines can be long, but they move them fast.

It was one of those places you just kept going back to because the food was consistently great and it felt like a true Chicago institution. So when Portillo's finally came to Texas, I was thrilled. Let's start with the star of the show...the Italian Beef with hot peppers. It's incredible. Order it dipped and you will be in food heaven. And if you really want the ultimate Chicago move, make it a combo by adding the Maxwell Street sausage. That combination is absolute perfection. Messy, bold, and ridiculously good. Of course, the Chicago-style hot dogs are outstanding too. Just make sure you order it the right way and "drag it through the garden." That means the full lineup of toppings, just like they do in Chicago. It's the real deal. The sides are fantastic as well. The crinkle-cut fries are always solid, and the onion rings are super crispy and addictive. If you're trying to behave a little, the chopped salad is my wife's favorite. It's fresh, loaded with flavor, and honestly one of the best salads you'll get anywhere. And here's the surprise for people who haven't tried it...the hamburger is fantastic. Big, meaty, juicy, and full of flavor. I'll say it plainly. It's better than just about any fast-food or fast-casual burger out there. Bottom line...Portillo's isn't just another restaurant. It's a Chicago legend that delivers every single time. I'm glad Texas finally got the memo.
