Upon arriving, we were immediately greeted and seated by the hostess. Our server arrived promptly, provided menus, and took our drink orders. He was also attentive and asked how much time do we have before our flight (we thought that was very considerate). The food came out quickly and looked appetizing. Our orders were as desired with requested modifications. The food was tasty and overall we had a great experience. We will come through here again when stopping through Dallas Fort Worth.

She was the only person on the floor and they had a line waiting to be seated. Despite being busy, Courtney had a positive attitude and gave off great vibes while she was taking care of my husband! He ordered street tacos and Carnitas and said they were delicious. If you're looking to get a decent meal in the airport, he highly recommends you check this place out!

NOTE: My rating is higher due to this being an airport restaurant. One of the best airport restaurants I've been to. Airport food is generally terrible and overpriced (I've thrown away $25 entrees because they're just that bad). This rating is definitely weighted towards airport standards. It's refreshing to find decent food at reasonable prices ($14 for my burrito!). The TX/MX menu is fairly priced and the burrito is actually good. You could even split it with someone if you're not super hungry. They also have "outdoor" (read: not actually outdoors) seating which is nice! read more

It's fine. If you can't get into a lounge and need to have some airport food, it's a decent option but set your expectations to an inferior Chilis. FIrst off, you know it's not going to be great TexMex. You should be able to come to that realization the moment your eyes gaze upon the name of the establishment and everything within the restaurant. However, you're tired, you're hungry, and you're resigned to airport food so, in you go. The real question should be do you need to have more of a fast casual restaurant experience with some booze the likes of Applebees or Ruby Tuesday? If not, you're much better off grabbing something from Chick-fil-A as it's a lot tastier and much cheaper. Otherwise, come on in, get some radioactive colored sugary cocktail and dine on some really mid enchiladas. Service was fine. read more

Excellent service, attentive server. Love the enchiladas, right amount of cheese, chicken was tender, beans and rice were not salty which is a plus! The burger was equally tasty. Fries was good but it has some aftertaste of old oil. Otherwise great experience! read more

She was the only person on the floor and they had a line waiting to be seated. Despite being busy, Courtney had a positive attitude and gave off great vibes while she was taking care of my husband! terrible experience, Micheal was a terrible server. I had to find him for everything. the whole experience was a terrible start to a beautiful trip. the food was definitely not worth the cost. don't eat here if your a vegetarian or pescatarian. they use cheap food products. I had shrimp and I could tell it was the tiny cheap shrimp and it was not even thawed and cooked well. read more

Being delayed in the air port for hours due to weather you try to make the best of it and see what food is available and around. Hoping to try something outside of the "fast food chains" known to me I gave TX/MX a try. I can't say too much about the ambiance since I ordered to go and did not sit within the seated area. However, I did see the bar packed and simple seating arranged for those dining in. Unfortunately as a Latina the flavor profile fell flat to me. I ordered a carne asada bowl. I was happy to see that it was packed with veggies - lettuce, tomato, onions, pepper. I was also happy the bowl seemed decently full since it was not on the cheaper end being $25 as a to go order. Unfortunately after sitting down near our gate I noticed a few things - I have some food intolerances and asked for no dairy, the container appeared to have sour cream and cheese on the side I'm not sure if a mistake was made and initially the order was being filled with cheese and it was attempted to be taken out but definitely as people have allergies or intolerances would advise if a mistake like this is made to replace the order and container for the patron would probably be best practice. I tried not to write things off there but the flavor profile was just really lacking for me, I felt like Taco Bell for a fraction of the cost in comparison would pack more flavor. My advice would be for this establishment to embrace its states seasoning and abilities, we know Texas has more to offer! I would also be wary of those who have allergies and intolerances because it can be a big deal and ruin someone's flight or rest of their day and should not be taken lightly. read more

The taco meat were great, and the churros were so delicious. What i like about this place is the price... felt like its extremely affordable for what you get. Guess this place makes money off the volumes. what's surprising is that, they have taco tuesdays. only 99 cents, which is insane with inflation. i legit thought all tacos places got rid of 99 cent tacos. Good to know they still have it around. The workers are very nice and friendly. They also have live music, at least when i went.

We wanted a beer and were told the taps were empty and the only bottled option was Shiner. Rough start all around. Honestly, we were tempted to leave. It was that uncomfortable. We didn't. For the food: 1. Chopped salad was good, though it's not chopped at all, just a tossed salad. 2. Gnocci was delicious 3. Pizza was very tasty but the crust was strangely soggy/chewy. Maybe that's the style, but I kind of expected a bit of a crunch to it. The flavor all around was great. Our waiter disappeared (I'm assuming his shift ended?) without warning or letting us know someone else would step in. If I had to sum it up, it was almost like we were invisible the whole time we were there. Service can make or break an experience--it broke it for us. I'd consider trying the Richardson location in the future, but I think it'll be a while.

Upon entering you're met with dim lights, deep burgundy leather seats and images of musicians painted in every corner. The restaurant is absolutely stunning! Our table wasn't quite ready so we were asked to wait at the bar for short while. We started the celebration early by ordering a few drinks and by the time they arrived, our table was ready. We were lead to a large half moon shaped booth nestled in the corner; which was large and plush. Plenty of room for us four and honestly at least two more people. On our table was a place card that said Happy Birthday to my partner which was a nice touch. Our waitress arrived and very pleasant and helpful. She asked if we had questions and gave us some highlights of the menu. We ordered another round along with Meatballs Troubadour, the Heavenly Sourdough and Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice. The Heavenly Sourdough and Meatballs Troubadour were absolutely the stars of the show! The meatballs were flavorful and juicy. The marinara sauce paired wonderfully with the sourdough. For entrees, Dry-Aged Delmonico, Pomme Puree, Crispy Brussels, Honey Truffle Chicken and Whole Lobster Spaghetti. All the food was divine! To wrap it all up we of course ordered the 24 layer strawberry cake. The cake was bought out with a candle and 4 glasses of bubbly which was a very nice treat. Drake's met all my expectations and more. A huge thank you to the manager stopping by to make sure all was well throughout our meal. And also our waitress for her professionalism, knowledgeable and all around pleasant vibe. Drake's is now on my love list!

My husband and I stopped at TXMX during our layover, and we both ended up talking about how great Paris was the whole walk to our gate. She treated us with so much kindness and patience, and she handled the crowd like it was nothing. Our food came out quick, our drinks stayed topped off, and she checked on us without hovering. It felt like she genuinely wanted us to enjoy ourselves, not just rush us out. We travel a lot, and service like hers is rare in any restaurant, let alone an airport. Paris made the whole stop feel easy and pleasant for both of us. We'd happily come back just because of her. read more

I had such a great experience at TXMX thanks to Paris. She was quick, attentive, and genuinely friendly the entire time. Even with the airport rush, she made sure everything was on point. My order came out exactly how I wanted, and she checked in just enough without being overbearing. You can tell she takes pride in her job and actually cares about the guests.
