Good spot to stop at while waiting on your flight. The bar is large and they have plenty of options for drinks and food. I only got a drink here a manmosa but was able to relax a good spot to chill and grab food while waiting onyour flight

I love this place at DFW! I was waiting for family to get in on their flight and I decided to sit at the bar. Tanner was an amazing bartender! Very friendly and attentive. I ordered the drink "Pre-Check" and it was soooooo good! I also had the chicken taquitos which were amazing, very fresh. I ordered salsa, guacamole and queso on the side. (That was an additional charge) but other than that I was extremely pleased. I thought it was cool that you can order your food and drink via QR Code. Very clean and bright atmosphere with sports on the screen. I will make sure that I stop by whenever I'm at DFW terminal E .

Gabriella's chop chicken salad - super fresh & tasty

If you are looking for a really fresh, healthy meal at DFW, 2.0 Taco & Tequila (Terminal E) is the place to go. Gabriella's Chop Chicken Salad is a beautiful combination of fresh spring greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, avocados, and perfectly spiced diced chicken breast - lots of chicken. At $19 this a great value. We also enjoyed their lo-cal chicken burrito bowl. Again, very fresh and savory.

For an airport restaurant, 2.0 Taco & Tequila Bar does a decent enough job at Tex-Mex and honestly, there are not a lot of options for a sit down restaurant. Our server was friendly enough and the food was decent enough. We were here on a layover and so we basically were stuck. This was a decent enough stop for a lunch.

Excellent service at the bar!!!!! The grilled chicken was cooked perfectly...so tender and flavorful. Martini came in a wine glass, which was odd but good. They had fantastic ranch dressing. It was a perfect spot to chill while waiting on a delayed flight!!

Quick service, good beer selection, nice airport bar! We didn't try the food but it looked good from what we saw around us.

    Breakfast burrito w/chorizo
    Jeremy M.

Stopped in for breakfast and had a very nice server who let me know they don't serve alcohol until 10am on Sundays before I ordered. They have a small breakfast menu but the burrito with chorizo was delicious. When ordering they asked if I wanted pico, fresh or pickled jalapeños, and avocado. Assuming it was all included I said yes but when the bill came the avocado was an upcharge. Not a huge deal but wish these places would not ask questions like this as if it is just part of the meal when it's an upcharge.

    The ultimate fajitas

The hostess wasn't happy and welcoming, but last time I didn't let that deter me and I am glad. They have plug ins at the booths and tables by the kitchen which I really needed. The waiters and waitresses were great! Great them with positivity and they really appreciate it. I bartended for years and the difference in a smile is so mandatory. I have a corporate card, so I separated out one drink and the ultimate fajitas. This is the s cons time doing this and the food has always been great. I have to eat all the shrimp first because that is just me. The steak was tender and I don't really care for steak but these I do. They are really good and moist, tender, and bite by bite in the fajita the taste is wonderful. If you get Alfredo or Sherry tell them I say hello! They will soil you and assist you in every way. The only downfall is that the chips are extra charge, but for me that is not an issue since I rarely eat more than half. The Texas cucumber and jalapeño margarita is the bomb. Therefore, if you order one margarita of any kind I think you'll be satisfied. I think this place is really underrated and please try it if you get a chance. It at SKYLINK exit E30-31 You will not be disappointed!!!!! Casual atmosphere - it is an airport after all :)

    Nachos 2.0

AIRPORT NACHO REVIEW: I like to eat airport nachos and this plate was great. Right off the bat- FAST service, these puppies came out like 5 minutes after I ordered them. I got them with steak instead of the standard ground beef which was a good choice. Ingredients-wise, everyone came to play. My 2 most common complaints with these airport nachos in general are gross guac and tasteless tomatoes but these pass the test on those ingredients for sure. Speaking of ingredients- there was more than enough to go around! I was easily able to get a tasty morsel on every chip. The only downside was the shredded cheese was 1) Bagged, not freshly grated (which, I understand, is a very tough box to check for airport food) and 2) Not melted, so the nacho cheese sauce had to do a lot of heavy lifting.

It does exist! Fresh and delicious veggie options at the airport - with friendly service to boot. Prices a little high.

This place was perfect before we took off for our flight recently. We enjoyed the margaritas, queso, salsa, and tacos. The guac was less fresh, but my son still enjoyed it. The service was quick and attentive without being overbearing. This will be a new place for us to eat when we are in terminal E. They should have higher stars than their current average!

For airport food, this was excellent and fantastic customer service. Breakfast tacos and potatoes were on point! Ask for Tanner.

We got the asada street taco plate, a couple of extra beef fajita street tacos and the Popeye's enchiladas. The tacos were okay. But the enchiladas were a little disappointing. I got the cheese one and it was supposed to be in a spinach cream mushroom sauce. All of the cheese was not fully cooked through and the spinach wasn't cooked or in the sauce. Just thrown on top. There was no flavor to the sauce at all so it was very disappointing. I'd be willing to try again and maybe this was an off day for them.

Any port in a storm, as they say. We have tried to like this place but just can't. The HVAC on the roof was thumping and rattling, making the whole ceiling of the dining area thump and shake. The lights were shaking as was our table. The salsa that came with the chips was really off, watered down and tasteless. I asked for a spicier one, which was a little more flavorful but also watered down. When our nachos came out, we were greeted by a pile of chips heavily coated in mostly melted, not great, probably fake, cheddar cheese. There was a layer of refried beans and grilled chicken underneath. The beans weren't bad, but the chicken was super salty. Very heavily seasoned with what is probably the same seasoning they put on their chips - some sort of seasoned salt concoction. My woman reported her margarita to be "super mix-y." My beer was cold, though. Like I said, this place just isn't too our taste but it seems to be great for others. And that's fine. If you come here just try not to sit directly under the thumping HVAC vent. I don't know how long it will hold. 02.23.25

I had not been to this particular Uncle Julio's before, in fact, it is set off the road enough that if you blink you might miss it. Walking in you immediately notice that the ambiance pays tribute to their other stores in that there is a nice blend of traditional Mexican decor blended with modern decor. I ordered Fajitas. I am going to say they were respectable. Not the best I have had, but way better than a lot I have had. Would I get them again? Probably, but there are a lot of other things I would try on the menu before getting them again. Being my coworker's birthday, we ordered a Chocolate Piñata for dessert. It was a fun experience to have people at the table take a swing at it, until out came Churros, and Fresh Fruit. There was an array of sauces to dip the Fruit and Churros in. Our Service was a bit slow at times, and for that I am taking a star off the rating. We all sat on the patio, which may have contributed to our feeling forgotten a few times

Mesa's is just a few minutes drive from Gaylord so it is super convenient. The ambience is pleasant and open and in general it was fine. The restaurant was clean with plenty of seats and parking outside. I did not get a "homey" feel but that may be just me. Our server was attentive and efficient. No problems or complaints. The free chips and salsa were good but not outstanding. The salsa was warm and obviously homemade, but it lacked kick. It was tasty but not "OMG this is good." I started with a cup of Roberto's queso which is the standard queso cheese with some ground beef, pico, and a tablespoon of guacamole. It too was good but not outstanding. I am not sure what it was missing but there was something that was needed. I had the two beef tacos and they were just average. Not much flavor or anything distinctive. The ground beef was not well seasoned so they were kind of bland. The rice and black beans were also kind of bland. Frankly, my tacos at home are better. The wife had the taco salad and liked it, although it did not come with any dressing. She used the salsa. Not sure if that was an oversight or that is the way the salad is served. She was also happy that they serve Negro Modelo on tap, so she was happy. The kid had nachos with black beans and cheese and did not complain. Overall, the meal was fine, nothing was terrible, but nothing really stood out as a compelling reason to return.

Such was the case recently when we paid a visit to Mesa. The first order of business was getting an appetizer to go with the chips and salsa. Upon the server's recommendation we got the queso Blanco. It was quite possibly the blandest queso I have ever eaten. At this point I started to worry that it was a sign of things to come. However, the extra spicy salsa that we also requested to go with the chips was more flavorful and gave me hope for the entrees. The good news is that my chicken and cheese enchiladas turned out to be better than the insipid appetizer. The not so good news is that it was still a mediocre meal. The rest of my family had mixed feelings about their food. My husband, who got 2 beef enchiladas, said his were overly salty but otherwise average. The bacon wrapped shrimp that my mother got were a little overcooked but she liked the sides. Both of my sons' entrees, the Mesa burrito and the chicken strips, were very well received. People like to say that even when pizza is bad it's still good. For me, that also applies to Tex-Mex. But, considering the plethora options out there, I doubt I will be returning anytime soon.

Yet, for the longest time, Baja Mex Grill did just that by serving the strongest margaritas in town. In fact, I had always heard that there was a limit of 2 per person. Although it may have only been a rumor, it was a good policy nonetheless (I speak from experience!) Even if margaritas weren't your thing, the food still held it's own. Basically, you couldn't go wrong with a visit here no matter your preferences. I don't know exactly when or how many times the ownership changed over the years, but apart from the name, nothing about this place is the same today. It was immediately evident upon being served chips and queso that both seemed like they came straight from a package. The extra hot salsa we requested turned out to be a creamy, green concoction that had a jalapeno-y flavor, but somehow still wasn't spicy. I will give them credit, however, for a very tasty regular salsa that appeared to be made in house. For my entree I ordered the Picante Enchiladas. Contrary to what the name implies there was no detectable heat. Furthermore, the grilled chicken on top had the distinct flavor of a frozen version made by Kroger. Once again, that prepackaged element reared it's ugly head. My husband and sons were mostly underwhelmed by their meals as well. The phrase "I've had better" was echoed around the table. And, they aren't normally a picky bunch! Our server brought everything out quickly, checked on us often, and kept our drinks topped up throughout our meal. So kudos to him! I have said this before, but it bears repeating. The Tex Mex arena is far too competitive for mediocre food like they serve here. It's a shame that a place I once considered to be 4-5 star establishment barely earns 3 stars now.
