I love this place! It doesn't matter what I order - the food is always excellent. I met friends here for a post-Christmas weekend brunch, and was surprised that it wasn't super busy like on a typical Sunday with lines out the door. Our reservations were made through Yelp, and I was able to do a partial check in since the whole party wasn't here yet. Once assembled, we were seated quickly. The server was very prompt and attentive - no one's coffee cup was ever empty! I ordered one of the holiday specials: Cranberry Orange pancakes. They were delicious, although perhaps not quite as filling as a regular short stack of pancakes. The atmosphere is always pleasant and busy, but not do noisy as to interfere with a good conversation over brunch. I have always loved any OPH I have been to so I had high hopes coming here for the first time. We arrived at 1020am on a Saturday and thankfully you can check in online via Yelp through Google to get in the wait line in advance. We were 13th when we left the hotel and 3rd in line when we pulled in. I got us checked in after parking and 5 minutes later we were up to be seated. Be sure to use this function if coming in on a busy weekend! We had drinks served fast and orders placed soon after. I got an item I had not seen on the menu before, the healthy lifestyle omelet with a side of 3 ancient grain hotcakes. My wife did the eggs and 2 sides (bacon and hotcakes) and my son did a breakfast burrito with bacon added and a side of hotcakes and potatoes. I crushed my meal and my wife and son nearly demolished theirs also. My only gripe was that the former buckwheat hotcakes were better than the new ancient grain cakes. I usually get those but the server said the recipe changed and they were not as good as before. The ancient grain cakes tasted like any ordinary whole wheat hotcake, still good yes but not amazing. I love how they whip the eggs for the omelets making them light and airy and larger than normal omelets. We have been coming to this restaurant for years. I love seeing the same employees because they are a huge reason that we go there. The coffee is consistently good and hot and served in these beautiful stoneware mugs. The sourdough pancakes are the best. I have been all over this menu and really can't complain about anything. I do think it's a little pricey. Probably one of the more expensive places we go to for breakfast, but the quality of the food and the atmosphere of this location keeps me coming back. I recently visited OPH for my birthday, and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing from the start. After being seated, we waited at our table for 12 minutes without any server acknowledging us. We were clearly hungry and frustrated, so I took it upon myself to go up to the front and ask for assistance. (we were patient due to Christmas weekend traffic) Eventually, a new server named Lauren came to our table. She was friendly and did her best to try to make up for the initial delay. I noticed that the table next to us had their food comped by the manager. (They also confirmed when we started to randomly chat about our shared experience ) When I approached Manager Kathleen to inquire about getting something taken off our bill due to the long wait, & food issues, she only offered a 50% discount, which felt insufficient given the circumstances. It's clear that this location has slipped in service quality over the past year. While Lauren did a great job once she arrived, the lack of initial attention, the need for me to ask for help, and the lackluster resolution to our issue made for a very frustrating dining experience. It's disappointing to see how much this location has declined, and I'm unsure if I'll be returning anytime soon. read more

I'm not sure if the bacon could be called bacon. Wasn't crispy - tasted more like a baked ham that was masquerading as bacon. My husband said the amount of eggs he got didn't seem like two eggs to him - and he said they weren't great. My potatoes were lukewarm. The only thing they got going for them was they were served on a warm plate. My guess is that they were sitting for a while under the heat lamp before the server brought our food because the gravy with my one biscuit had developed a film on the top. The biscuit was too sweet for my taste and the gravy had NO flavor and maybe 3-4 bits of sausage. How much sugar was in that biscuit dough? Coffee was just okay. Also, the food did not sit well within our stomachs hours later. We definitely will not be back, nor will we recommend this place to family & friends. In addition, she never returned to ask if the second plate was acceptable. We also noticed the manager going to other tables but, never made it to ours.
