A second employee, not as friendly, arrived sometime later to assist setting up the bar. There were some minor inconveniences arriving this early. Because I was the first to require a refill, the bartender had to get a coffee pot from the kitchen. Afterwards, she kept the pot at the bar. I decided on the Breakfast Egg Rolls. Not sure how something tagged "new" can be a house specialty. The breakfast jam lacked flavor. The egg rolls were saved due to the taste of the fried wontons. Of the two sauces, the maple syrup was better than the spicy hollandaise. The hollandaise lacked both heat and spiciness. When I was served coffee, I was not provided either cream nor sweeteners. As I did not notice any nearby, rather than wait to have the her return to the kitchen, I decided to give it a sip. Surprisingly, the coffee tasted great. We got without mayo and ordered a side of ranch which I'll typically put a little on sandwich. The ranch dressing was not good - couldn't eat it. I took a bite of that sandwich and I swear to you that my soul left my body because no where but heaven can a chicken sandwich taste so incredibly delicious. I arrived today, only to be told by the extremely rude hostess that "they don't do reservations on the weekend, just a waitlist, and that my 11:30 reservations just added me to the waitlist." She proceeded to tell me that the wait was 45 minutes. I was confused, I showed her my confirmation text. She said again, "That's wrong." Based on her tone and facial expressions I'm going to assume this was a line she had used several times this Sunday. We left, went to J Macklins across the street and took the 4 people waiting behind us with us as well. They had also made reservations and were told that, "the reservations don't mean anything."
