Had a BLT and it was good, service was great, Cleanliness not so much. The disgustingness around the sugar dispenser. See pic.

Had to wait quite a get a table on a Saturday morning at 10am but the manager was nice and asked if I needed coffee while waiting outside. My server Robbie was real sweet and flexible with our specific food orders. Food came out In a timely order and tasted great! Now I'm all pumped up for a full day thanks to my awesome breakfast! The hot chocolate with chocolate chips on top was so good!

    Extremely clean place (

Seriously, come here for the homebred rolls and can muffins alone!!…read more We came here for a very late lunch at around 3pm on a tuesday. There were a few people inside. AND WHY don't I heed my own advice and have homemade pie first?? Goddamn it - foiled again. If the rolls were that good I cannot imagine how good the pies (AND FRIED pies!) are. ah well, I'll have to try pie another time. On to our lunch, we each got one of the tuesday specials, I got chicken fried chicken and hubby got fried chicken. Both were good, but a few of the sides really shined, namely the cabbage!! - it had little bits of pork in it too. and the fried okra, lordy - YUM! Highly recommend this place, service was great too.

The place was pretty busy with other seniors and they all were happily enjoying the 50's flair. Yelper husband had a beautiful club sandwich with a side of onion rings. He was pleased as punch and even had a dish of peaches included in his meal. I opted for chicken salad sandwich. It was delicious. Often chicken salad is bland, but not this one. It was very tasty and filling I'm pretty finicky about clean and well kept. I gave a "just ok" on that part of this review. Service was prompt and pithy. Not a hunch of warm fuzzy just plain and direct.

The food was flat‑out amazing -- fresh, flavorful, and the kind of "just good food" that hits your soul after a long night of singing your heart out. Our server? Easily one of the best I've had in a long time. Friendly, attentive, and somehow always there at the perfect moment without hovering. You can tell they take pride in making people feel welcome. The whole place has that classic, comforting Texas charm -- nothing fancy, just great people serving great food. After a high‑energy concert, it was the perfect reset. If you're in Arlington and want a spot that treats you right and feeds you even better, this is it. I'll definitely be back.

However, once you step inside, you step inside a busy, hustling thing of beauty!! We went on a Saturday morning around 9:30/10am and it was busy, but we only had to wait 10-15 mins for a table of 7. One thing to mention is that this is pure original breakfast. There are no blueberries or chocolate chips for example to add to your waffles/pancakes. However, the pancakes were VERY good without the extras. Plus, the pricing is no frills as well. My pancakes/2eggs/sausage plate was like 10.50. The food was all REALLY good. Our waitress was super sweet and took really good care of us as well. The place is clean and plenty of seating inside so this is a great choice for a down home breakfast spot!!

Always amazing service and food, plus you'll be happy to know they replaced all their booths within the last 6 months to a year, so seating is cozy as well. This is hands down the friendliest and most accommodating diner in the area. The employees seem genuinely happy to serve you in a friendly (but non-fake) atmosphere. If you haven't been, you must try it. Order whatever modifications you may like to any menu item, or just make a meal up in your head and I guarantee they will delight you with the result. My personal favorites are the chicken fried steak, with hash browns, 2 scrambled eggs, and 2 biscuits; as well as the double cheeseburger with fries. The delicious food, wonderful staff and personalities make this place a rarity in North Texas, especially Plano. Almost never a wait, but if so only a short one. They're open 7a - 2:30p but we've never felt rushed to finish lunch. I highly recommend giving Eddie's Diner a try!

I paid almost $5 for it -- the same amount of fresh squeezed at other places like Starwood or Pancake House. I would not get the orange juice again here. I got the Sundae Waffles and I overall enjoyed them. They're a sugar overload, but that's practically implied. My gripe was that the vanilla ice cream tasted odd and I actually pushed it aside. It didn't taste like vanilla at all. Bf got the Country Omelette and he enjoyed it. I had a taste and can vouch that the sausage gravy was very good and he got a very large amount for his buck. Overall, I think I would return, keeping in mind the quality of a few of the things we tried today.

We showed up around 11 on a weekday and both leaned into breakfast. I ordered the #9, a proper sugar pearl Liège waffle with one egg and sausage, and at ten dollars it felt like a great deal. The waffle was a pretty good example of the true Belgian style (with those sugar pearls) - I have better, but not in a sleepy town diner. My husband went for the migas, which is a little too bold for my more delicate breakfast preferences, but he was very happy with his choice. Our waitress, Sol, was an absolute sweetheart and made the whole experience feel warm and easy. The owner was also there, juggling things while temporarily without a hostess. I briefly considered throwing my hat in the ring. I am already planning a return visit for what looks like a stellar burger and a club sandwich, but there are so many spots around here calling our name that it might take some discipline to make it back soon.
