Six stars, y'all! These people know sandwiches! Just the right amount of every ingredient. We all sampled each other's burgers and sandwiches (chicken philly, club, and T-BAM) and swore we would come back to order what our neighbors ordered because one measley bite was not enough to properly enjoy the deliciousness. And we did, even though we live 20 minutes away and have no other reason for visiting this area. Your sandwich or burger comes with homemade fries or chips, and the fries here are my favorite in all of DFW. The T-BAM (turkey) sandwich is flawless, and is quickly becoming the family favorite. I plan to come here the next time I'm in the mood for a cheeseburger. Someone at another table ordered one; the melted cheese dripping down the patty looked amazing, and I saw the look on his face when he took his first bite. You know how once in a blue moon you find a restaurant where the chef clearly knows food so well that you would try absolutely anything on the menu just to see what they've created? This is one of those places for me. I can't wait to order some of the appetizers, too. (Giant soft pretzel with IPA cheese!) I also love the look of the inside of this place. Fun, clean, and inviting. Service was impeccable. The staff was attentive and had no problem handling my in-laws' many, many modification requests (add this, remove that, double grill the onions). Good kids menu, too. They also do brunch on Saturdays and Sundays. Happy hour (half price domestics) is Monday-Friday 2-6pm. This is my #1 food recommendation of the year. read more

We really want to love and support local businesses, which is why we've given Back Porch multiple chances - but unfortunately, it just hasn't lived up to expectations. First, the overall service has consistently been lacking. The hostess at the front has never been particularly welcoming, and the service in general feels pretty disengaged. It's not necessarily outright rude - it just feels like there's no real effort, which sets the tone right away. We've noticed a big decline over the past 6-12 months. It used to be better, but lately it's just not the same. As for the food... it's simply not worth the price. We're talking $100+ tabs and leaving disappointed every time. This last visit really sealed it for us. I ordered something very simple, and my son got a basic chicken sandwich - chicken, bun, pickles, ketchup, cheese. It came out with a barely toasted bun and chicken that tasted like it had been fried in old grease. Not appetizing at all. We also ordered cheese fries, and they were undercooked and just drenched in queso - more like a bowl of cheese with fries tossed in, rather than properly melted, crispy cheese fries. This isn't a one-time experience either - we've tried several times hoping it would improve, and it just hasn't. If you're going for drinks and to watch a game, it might be okay. But for a full meal, especially at that price point, we wouldn't recommend it. Sadly, this last visit was enough for us - we won't be returning. read more

My daughter & I ordered food one night to pickup. I had a burger and she got the nachos. Food was good.. no complaints. When I picked up the order, service was quick and they were friendly. Went for lunch after a skeet shoot. Nice vibe inside with several tv's. They have s large room for big parties. Bar is cool with lots of beers and cocktails. I had the Mother Porker sandwich which was pulled pork shaved ham coleslaw and a sweet hot jam sauce. Very tasty and different. Girlfriend had baja fish tacos also very good. Menu very diverse with many options to choose from. I would go back but the big problem is the traffic. If you are headed there going towards I 35. Its a nightmare to get there. Have to negotiate a left turn. Very tough getting across to the restaurant. If coming from the other direction it wouldn't be a big deal. read more

We've driven by this area so many times and thought to stop in, but never did until today. The place is nice and spacious, lots of bar top tables and booths. All the staff were friendly and helpful, our waitress was pulled away on something and we liked that another waitress came to check on us. We ordered the Urban Cowboy w/ their homemade chips, as recommended by our waitress, and it hit the mark. The burger was delicious! And the chips were better than the fries. I got their steak fingers w/ jalapeño gravy and have to say it was also very good but the smoked Gouda Mac bites are a must try. Everything was washed down nicely by their Cherry Limeade drink & my husband loved the Space Dust IPA We ordered a few things to go for our boys at home- the brisket grilled cheese, patty melt & BOB burger, everyone was a fan! read more

Been here 3xs various business and the service is always on point. Love the timing between being seated-ordering food-eating-checking out. Not too fast but not too slow. The burgers are huge and amazing, the sweet potato fries are one of my favorites. Hadn't drank from the bar yet but everything is great. The servers are friendly and the location is kept clean even in the busy rush. Little loud but it's not insanely loud. 10/10 read more

On a Thursday afternoon/evening, we popped in. On YELP we had read the menu and got excited about the smoked jalapeno patty melt. The place was a sports bar, but I just didn't get that vibe. It was wide and spacious, cold and quiet. Maybe during a game it would be rocking, but there were games on (December bowl games) and nothing was happening here. There was some Christmas music faintly playing in the background, but nothing that said exciting. I'm not sure how long the waitress had been here, but she was very sweet. She knew nothing about the beer menu, or what was on draft. Whenever we asked questions about the menu, she had to go into the back and ask. When we prompted her for recommendations she finally offered an off-the-menu item called the "hot chick". We ordered the hot chick with fries, and the smoked jalepeno patty melt with chips. The fries were thin and cripsy, and the chips were underdone. The Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich, aka Hot Chick, was not great. The bun was soggy, the chicken was greasy, and the "nashville hot sauce" was hot with pepper but horribly uneven, and as someone who loves hot stuff... I didn't enjoy it at all. The wife ordered a fried egg on her patty melt (YUM!) but it was broken and all the yolk was sitting on the tray when it arrived at the table, instead of on the sandwich (YUCK!). Pickled jalepenos thrown on after the sandwich was made did not make them smoked or delicious. I wish this place well but the service and food were barely medicore. Service was terrible, even though there were barely any customers. Waited over ten minutes at the hostess stand just to get recognized, even though the bartender looked up at us from her mobile phone several times. Sign said "wait to be seated," which was silly considering how dead it was in there. Waited nearly 40 minutes for our food; again, there were maybe four other tables in the restaurant and at least three waitstaff. The waitress blamed the long wait on the french fries taking a long time, but there was zero communication from her on anyone else stumbling about the restaurant that night. The appetizer came out with the burgers - why even call them appetizers? Several items were missing from our order, like the fried egg, and the side of bacon. Very frustrating. Had to flag someone down every time we needed something. Speaking of the waitstaff, their clothes were ill-fitting and looked like they had all slept in them, or not washed them in several shifts. Not a hygenic looking one among them, which is concerning when it comes to food service. Lots of TVs all over with lots of different sports on, which was nice. Not much in the way of decor beyond that, but it was OK for a sports bar. Prices weren't terrible for the quality of the burgers, but there wasn't anything else about our visit to raise the rating. read more

CHICKEN AND WAFFLES!!!! Oh my goodness, my family got to have brunch together because our original plans fell apart. I love it when what you THINK was going to happen doesn't and something even better does in its place. Backporch, it was meant to be! I had been over here for PJ's coffee but didn't notice it in the same strip until today. We started our meal off with the Bavarian pretzel which was served with cheese and mustard for dipping, amazing! Our food came out quickly too, not a bad waitime. I ordered chicken and waffles. Hubby ordered chicken fried steak. The biscuit that comes with his steak was the bomb!! I snagged some and devoured it. My waffles came with sweet strips of bacon on top, yum! The owner Kris even came over to make sure everything was correct and tasted good. He assisted the staff with bringing our food out as well, very cool. He was super friendly! We had the cheese fries which were amazing and the brisket sliders they were also good, not great. Would definitely order the cheese fries again, but not the sliders. Let me just add to my first review of this place by saying, "Watch your receipts." It's been three times now that i have noticed some questionable charges and today, i didn't notice that there was a button you're supposed to hit if you don't want to leave a tip. If you don't enter a tip, it charges you 20% automatically. Now don't get me wrong, the food here is good, although a little more expensive that some others, but still good and most of the employees are really friendly. I most likely won't be going back, but just watch those receipts. And try the fried mushrooms and jalapeno bottle caps. read more

We have now visited this location twice, both under the same pretenses....late dinner and drinks with good friends. Our first visit the food was bomb! Like we were already thinking about our next meal while driving away. Our second stop there was just okay....gravy and steak fingers just did not have the flair from the first time. Not sure how because these were only weeks apart. If you go here be sure to layer your clothing. Our first trip inside it was probably 55 degrees....no lie, my nose started running because of how fridges it was. I prepared myself for the second visit and I brought a small blanket to wrap around my legs. Only on the second visit was SO SO SO hot. My husband and the other two guys that were with us were pouring down in sweat. We asked for some relief from the waitress but she said the manager controls the thermostat. My family and I were incredibly excited to try out the new Backporch Drafthouse and we were not disappointed! The bar / restaurant is huge and staff was very friendly / attentive. The menu is quite large which I was surprised by, and seriously, everything looks amazing. The couple of items we got were excellent. My wife got the Nashville sliders and I'm not going to lie - I'm probably going to get that next time. Backporch has a very good beer selection on draft and cans, but I have to say, their website to show what they have available is not very good. It's a single very long page with up to date beers. There are links to each location, but if you happen to scroll too far, its a pain to get back to your location. Being the nerd that I am, they need to get onto Untapped or similar app quick! With that said though, this is a great location, with great food. I can't wait to hang out here for a game! Definitely check them out. read more

Stepped into Backporch Drafthouse for some lunch while in Fort Worth for business. This restaurant isn't too shabby. I kept it simple and ordered the Urban Cowboy burger, which is actually a really BIG burger. Great flavor with this burger-no doubt! The service was good and the prices were fair, so no complaints. This restaurant does get pretty busy, and we appreciated that they had plenty of TV's airing the NBA Playoffs. Two thumbs up for Backporch Drafthouse. Happy eating, my foodies! read more

I love trying new dives, especially for the wings, and I must've missed this place for the last year. This is a very clean place, which is a huge plus, tucked away off HWY 114. I ordered the boneless 10pc wings, and they weren't bad at all. Not the best, but definitely hit the spot. Awesome amount of sauce, and the size of the boneless wings were bigger than most spots, which is a huge plus for wing lovers. Will be coming back soon. read more

It's one of those unfortunate situations where it might be a great restaurant with great food but we don't know because of an ignored curbside pickup order. After waiting almost 20 minutes my boyfriend went inside and waited an additional 5 minutes while the only employee he could see finished her chat with the only bar patron. When she did come over she didn't know about an order and had to go search. It took two different searches for her to locate the 6:48pm curbside delivery order but at last my boyfriend was able to walk out at 7:20pm with our soggy lukewarm NOT delivered curbside food. It might still have been a redeemable situation even at that point but unfortunately my boyfriend picked up on the signs that not only did the girl not care about her job but she also didn't care about the order or my boyfriend's frustration So, we'll never know if it's a place worth trying because we'll never try them again. read more

Would love to give a higher rating but I just can't. Dairy allergy request was ignored by server and kitchen staff leading to a dairy exposure and allergic reaction. My wife and I I visited this restaurant over the weekend intending to have 1 drink and get food to go. It took 30 min to get the 1 round of drinks and another 30-40 min to get our to go order. When we placed the order we very clearly said there was a dairy allergy and were told they would have no problem keeping the one dish completely dairy free. When the food finally came it had cheese in it. We asked for a new one which came out in 5 min. After eating the remade food my wife had a dairy reaction leading us to believe the kitchen just took the cheese off to the best of their ability and sent the food back out which is not acceptable with a dairy allergy. Overall the server we had was anything but attentive and the quality of food from the kitchen was not acceptable. The atmosphere and location are great but all things considered we will not be able to go back. read more
