This the is the kind of place where you walk in planning to stay for one drink (unless you are here…read morefor a show) and somehow find yourself checking your watch three hours later wondering where the afternoon went. This is not a fancy, pinky-up establishment. Nobody is going to explain the emotional journey of the chef or tell you where the lettuce went to college. What you will find is cold beer, good food, plenty of TVs, and a room full of people who seem genuinely happy to be there. The atmosphere is exactly what a Texas sports bar should be: relaxed, welcoming, and just loud enough to be fun without requiring sign language to talk to your friends. The staff was friendly, the service was quick, and nobody acted like bringing you food was a personal inconvenience. The food is solid comfort food. Nothing on the menu is trying to reinvent American cuisine, and thank goodness for that. Sometimes you just want a good meal, a cold drink, and a place to watch the game without someone serving a deconstructed cheeseburger on a roof shingle. The best compliment I can give is that this place feels authentic. It's a locals' spot that actually likes its customers. Four stars because there's always room for improvement, but if you're looking for a place to eat, drink, watch sports, and forget about your responsibilities for a little while, the Mule Barn gets the job done. Just don't blame them if "one quick stop" turns into the rest of your evening

First, the overall service has consistently been lacking. The hostess at the front has never been particularly welcoming, and the service in general feels pretty disengaged. It's not necessarily outright rude - it just feels like there's no real effort, which sets the tone right away. We've noticed a big decline over the past 6-12 months. It used to be better, but lately it's just not the same. As for the food... it's simply not worth the price. We're talking $100+ tabs and leaving disappointed every time. This last visit really sealed it for us. I ordered something very simple, and my son got a basic chicken sandwich - chicken, bun, pickles, ketchup, cheese. It came out with a barely toasted bun and chicken that tasted like it had been fried in old grease. Not appetizing at all. We also ordered cheese fries, and they were undercooked and just drenched in queso - more like a bowl of cheese with fries tossed in, rather than properly melted, crispy cheese fries. This isn't a one-time experience either - we've tried several times hoping it would improve, and it just hasn't. If you're going for drinks and to watch a game, it might be okay. But for a full meal, especially at that price point, we wouldn't recommend it. Sadly, this last visit was enough for us - we won't be returning.

Pictured are the 4 quarter tandoori...$22 for each box. The chicken can fit in my palm. Pictured is the chicken tikka masala...$15 for 10 small pieces of cubed chicken, that were hard to find in all the sauce. We ordered two of these. Not pictured is palak paneer, but same quantity as the chicken tikka masala, only a few pieces, $14. Also got garlic naan, 4 slices for $8.

Burgers & Curries is hands down one of our favorite Indian restaurants--easily top three for us…read more It also happens to be the closest Indian spot to us, but convenience aside, we genuinely love it. The restaurant is locally owned and run by the sweetest family, and you can really feel that care in both the service and the food. The space is small, clean, and welcoming, located right off 114 near the IHOP/Wingstop area. Despite the ongoing construction on 114 (which has been a mess), they've stayed incredibly consistent. The food is always good--like, reliably good--and I honestly have zero complaints. I always order the paneer tikka masala, and it is so, so good every single time. My husband and my boys are obsessed with the chicken biryani and swear it hits every time they order it. If you're looking for a great, family-run Indian restaurant with consistently amazing food, this is absolutely one you should try--and keep coming back to.

My partner in food wanted to try the King Kong against my better judgment. Looking at the photos, it didn't appear conceivable - to make matters worse, he wanted it to go! It came deconstructed. Four HUMONGOUS beef patties and probably a whole pound of bacon and beautifully melted cheddar. The bun was questionable, mostly because it was nowhere near enough bread for all that meat, but I get it, in a challenge situation, I wouldn't want to load up on bread. The patties were well seasoned and firm. I would have preferred medium, but since I was sharing, well done was fine. Not over done and still juicy. It also came with a container full of steak fries! I admittedly put a hurting in the fries, dipping them in the house ranch mixed with the jalapeño ranch. I wanted the fries to be crispier and the ranch to be thicker, but they were delicious nonetheless!! So how much of it did we finish?? I finished one patty with out bread!! My partner finished one and a half patties with sandwich bread. The bun got designated to my leftover patty. Tomorrow's lunch will be a single patty burger with half a pound of bacon!

The food looked great when it came out -- generous portions and nice presentation -- but the flavor didn't quite live up to the visuals. The burger patties were cooked through but a little dry, and the seasoning was pretty mild. The mushroom and onion topping added some flavor, but the bun felt a bit soggy halfway through. The cheeseburger was fine, but nothing that really stood out. The chili dog had plenty of chili and cheese on top, but the chili itself was a bit bland and heavy. The fries were thick and crunchy at first, but cooled off quickly and lost their crisp. They tasted more like frozen fries than fresh-cut. Service was polite and friendly, though the wait for food felt a little long considering it wasn't busy when we came in. The place has a laid-back, old-school diner vibe, which is nice in theory, but the inside could use a little refresh. It's not bad if you're nearby and craving a burger, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it.
