I ordered a kid's chicken strip meal as I waited for my early morning flight. I loved that they served lunch during the morning hours. The service was good, and my order was made fresh. The chicken strips were large but that's the only good thing about them. Unfortunately, they were huge processed strips with a bad aftertaste. I would never thought Airport food is good because they're there to serve you once and never see you again, so the food can be bad and you still have to pay more. On the way from SJ to Huntsville, Alabama, I had to lay over to Dallas Fort Worth Airport and on the way to the tramp, I saw this restaurant and they're actually cooking burgers with smokes and everything. So I stopped by to get a quick bite. Ordered a Truffle Mushroom Double and had to wait for a good 5 minutes because they're cooking mine in real time. Not microwave pre-cooked food. Anyhow, it's one of the best burgers I've had, hot, juicy, cheese actually melted on the meat with real mushrooms sauté. This is actually a new and surprised experience with Airport restaurant. I had 30 minutes between flights to grab a quick bite. When I came down the escalator in terminal B and saw several fast food places, Smash Burger jumped out at me. I went and found my gate then came back and ordered a classic smash. The line was short and the cashier was very efficient. They were super busy but my burger was ready in about five minutes. I was surprised at how good it was, probably one of the best burgers I've had in a while. Airport food isn't cheap, but this burger was definitely worth it. While on a layover at the airport. I saw someone near me eating a burger from Smash Burger and it looked so delicious I had to get one for myself. I must say the staff was very friendly and place looked clean and inviting. I ordered the Bacon Smash Burger and Smash Fries. The burger was cooked nicely and had a nice beefy flavor, but a little too salty for me and way too much mayonnaise on the sandwich. The bun and all the topping tasted fresh and good. The fries seasoned nicely and were crisp and hot. My only complaint with them is that they were all very short like the bottom of a batch of cut fries none being more than 2 inches in length. read more

So I ordered a Double bacon stack smash, smash tots and a large drink. $24.29. Not a bad price for an airport meal. The ladies at the register were friendly. I may have waited 4mins. I walked a couple feet to my gate to sit down to eat. The bag was really greasy. But that is kinda expected with this type of meal. The first bite was delicious. The rest was really salty. The tots were a little salty too. Overall I was satisfied and stuffed. My only issue was the saltiness. I would definitely try a different menu item at smash burger again. read more

We made a short stop at Denver International Airport during our trip to California. Before boarding the flight for California, we were looking to have a quick bite. We saw smash burger near our gate and decided to get in line for Smash Burger. Once we got our chance, we decided to order Classic Bean Sandwich and Tots. We had to wait 10-15 minutes before getting our order. We really enjoyed the Classic Bean Sandwich and tots. Really surprisingly good for being in an airport! The service was great. The girl with the red and black hair helped us and immediately greeted us with a really kind and warm smile. She had such a nice vibe and was super helpful. I really appreciated that she went to the kitchen after placing our order to make sure they got the "lettuce wrap no bun" notes. Also, I noticed that despite this place being very busy - they seem to be very organized, adequately staffed and well-run. The person packing the bags and calling out the names of orders seemed very well organized. We got 2 grilled chicken sandwiches. One with lettuce instead of a bun. And one turkey burger with lettuce instead of a bun. The grilled chicken sandwiches were surprisingly very good. The chicken was perfectly cooked, really juicy. Not dry at all and nicely seasoned. 12/11/22 I had a connecting business flight and haven't had dinner and settled on Smash Burger thinking it'll be quick and allow me to at before hopping on the flight. I was Semi hangry when I landed. I always feel bad eating on a plane when flying solo as I don't to now who's sitting next to me and thinking whether they are hangry if I'm chowing down. Bwahahahaha. I wanted to order chicken tenders but they didn't have any available so I settled on a crispy chicken sandwich with a side order of smash tots and a lemonade. Meal was under $20 and I had the option of adding a tip which I did as the young woman helping me was fairly nice and felt bad I wasn't able to get what I wanted originally. My order came out in less than 10 minutes. Didn't realize my order name was Lina but whateves. Sat down and noticed almost immediately have drenched the smashed tots (rosemary/olive oil seasoned tater tots) was in oil. I had to triple down on the napkins and let it sit for a minute. Once I took a bite, it was a bite of seasoned oil. The chicken sandwich was a pretty descent size and was loaded with hunky slice red onions. I had to take half out. Fresh but over powering to a degree. Wish I had more time for something else but it was what I had time for this time. Lemonade was aight - tasted as expected. They did tell me free refills so just bring it back if I'm still around which I appreciated but was unable to take advantage of. Skip the tots if you ask me. read more

This place is located near gate B12 and has a walk up counter. The menu is simple there are choices other than burgers. Seems like everything is a la carte which is fine. The burger was out pretty quickly and hot. I had the truffle mushroom burger and it was delicious. The price isn't too bad considering you're in an airport. For 7am I was impressed with the cashiers attentiveness to my questions, friendliness and how fast my burger was ready. Idk if it's just a Texas thing but even the airport burger patty was juicy, tender and flavorful. Burger patty's here seem to be ten times better than ones I've had elsewhere! Served hot, the burger was wrapped in a fancy way that I found entertaining and napkins, receipt and extra ketchup was already put in my to go bag :-). While flying out of DFW Airport I came upon this spot and decided to give it a try. After all, it was right by my gate (or so I thought... more on that in a bit). All the seating was taken, a good sign, and there was not much of a line, also a good sign. I went with a standard Smash Burger meal and only had to wait a few minutes while they cooked it up fresh. After finding a seat off to the side I dug in and was greeted by a burger that was bursting with flavor. Not to mention the accompany fries that were perfectly cooked. Washing it all down with an ice cold cup of water was as near to heaven as I've ever been with an airport meal. The elation didn't last long as I suddenly realized that my gate was changed and I needed to be in another terminal! The rest of my meal was finished in several giant bites and I was off to the races. Not exactly the ending I was looking for but the beginning of the meal was very, very enjoyable. If you're looking for a good meal in DFW, and normally you don't have to look far because this airport is stacked with options, walk no further than Smash Burger because you won't be disappointed. read more

My husband and I wanted something in between a sit down restaurant and McDonalds-like fast food during our short DFW layover and Smash Burger delivered! He got a bacon cheese burger, fries and a drink and I got a Bacon Avocado club chicken sandwich. My husband said his was great! I don't even know if he chewed it bc it disappeared so fast! I enjoyed my chicken sandwich, though my one comment would be that it was EXTREMELY salty. A few bites were like "whoa". The fries were excellent! Piping hot, crispy and delicious! Prices were high but its to be expected at an airport. I think for our 2 meals, it was around $30. Staff was friendly. Service was quick (we ate around 10am) so no real lunch crowd yet. I could see how it may get backed up during a rush. There was plenty of seating BUT the BBQ joint that is adjacent to Smash Burger isn't opened yet. We'd recommend Smash Burger! read more

For a place that portends to be a better burger restaurant I expect it to live up to it, at least this location did not, was underwhelmed. Service was slow and for an airport location speed is important. I would describe the burger as boring and kind of bland. Many places with less expensive burgers simply taste better. Bacon was salty but nor flavorful, in other words bland and cheap. I ordered sweet potato fries which were over cooked, hard and dry, kind of starchy tasting. My wife ordered a chicken sandwich and indicated hers was good and as expected compared to other Smash burger locations we've gone to in the past. It's not that my burger was bad it just wasn't very good and not worth a premium price. I'd say it was along the line f gas station burgers or value menu burgers at cheap off brand chains. Never been to a Smash Burger before and was hungry after a few hours flight. Ordered the Jalapeno BBQ and my wife got the classic chicken. The cashier Ciara was friendly and helpful. She asked if we wanted everything on the burgers which was good. The burgers came out fast, faster than I am used to with airport food. I mistakenly thought that the burger I ordered was going to have lettuce, tomato, and onion, but no just exactly what it said on the menu. Overall pretty tasty burger, just a bit smaller than I would have thought. The chicken classic was much better, really thin but large chicken patty, all of the toppings and a nice wheat bun. Definitely would order the chicken again. Pretty decent place to stop and grab a quick bite while at DFW, especially for $10 or less. read more

I have been wanting to try this place for a while now. It always smells amazing. I had the double burger with the garlic fries. The burger was really good it was fresh and juicy. I would recommend the burger to anyone. The fries were covered in garlic and oil. They were soggy and not very good honestly. For someone who likes soggy fries, then they would love them. Also, the combos do not include drinks, but they won't tell you that until they give you your meal. And nobody wants to stand back in a long line for a drink while their food is getting cold. Burgers are good. Service on the other hand is horrible. I know this location is at the DFW airport so often you eat what you can especially with a short connection but that doesn't mean they shouldn't try to provide good service. First of all, no greeting upon ordering then after placing my order it took longer than it should. It's easy to see into the kitchen so as the expediter was talking (and not about burgers) to the people in the kitchen the longer it took to get my order. I continued to watch and listen as an order of french fries sat in a rack not under a heat lamp but just getting cold. Rudest employees of any Smashburger I've ever eaten at. I get it, you work in the airport. I'd be pissy too, but you can't take it out on paying customers. I ordered a double smashburger (on a gluten free bun) fries and a drink and it came to just under $20. That includes the $2.50 gluten free bun. And yes, I have a wheat allergy, so I can't eat a wheat bun. It isn't a fad, I have a legitimate allergy. So I get my food and the burger isn't on a bun. I ask for the bun (assuming they forgot to put one in the bag) and I'm told that it's frozen and I can't have one. I said that I already knew it was frozen because the girl at the register told me it was. The rude lady at the grill said I can either have a wheat bun or none at all. When I explain that I have an allergy and already paid $2.50 for the bun, the rude girl says "wow, just wow!" Anyhow, I got my money back but that was just a terrible experience. Only thing worth getting here is the speciality fries. Damn those things are GOOD. However , all the burgers are pretty cruddy. Bacon avocado burger will come with 1 meniscal slice of bacon, and 2 tiny chops of avocado thrown on the side . ( and remember , you're paying 8-9 dollars for this half assed burger .) But for a airport smash burger , it's an ALRIGHT option. I recommend walking about 5 places down though, and finding much yummier choices for a quick meal. read more
