Jr. two patties with cheese, upgraded to onion rings and had Arnold Palmer to drink. Love that the bun doesn't overpower the burger!

I had a several hour layover at Dallas Fort Worth airport and I was roaming back-and-forth between the gates wondering how to spend the time and all of a sudden an employee from Whataburger walked by with a large pallet of supplies so I followed them. It's been a long-standing debate, which is better Whataburger or In-N-Out and I was going to settle the debate today. Not gonna lie the location was definitely off on a side tangent from where my gate was but still the same area so I didn't have to go through security again or anything. When I got there, I like that the menu has Junior size and adult size food and I like that they do fries and onion rings, so I ordered the junior size double cheeseburger and paid a little more for the onion rings and got an Arnold Palmer to drink, but opted for the sweet tea since I was in Texas. The size of the burger is actually perfect. It filled me up without making me feel overstuffed. The ingredients of the burger blended really well and I also added ketchup. I guess they only put mustard inside the burger. Honestly, the best thing for me was the bun because it was so light. It doesn't distract from the burger that you were eating yet it is still strong and enough to hold everything together. The onion rings were decent. The batter was very light like a beer batter, but I don't think they're using that at a joint that doesn't sell beer. Do I think it is better than in and out? No, but if anybody wants to do a side-by-side comparison, call me. I would definitely eat there again.

We were excited to try Whataburger for the first time and welp it was a disappointment. The place was absolutely clean and maintained clean by the nice workers here during my visit. The burger was nothing special. The patty is thin and it was cooked well. The fries were gross, & had no flavor to them. I have never ate cardboard, but I would assume that these fries tasted just like it. The only thing I do have to give credit for is their prickle berry drink and their bbq sauce. Other than that whataburger is just hype.

When in Texas ya gotta get a whatabuger

Whataburger is Texas' IN-N-OUT so when in Texas it's our go to, we were pleasantly surprised they had one outside our gate while here for a 4 hour layover. All though we didn't expect much from an airport location it was just as good as the locations we've visited in Corpus Christi and Amarillo. The menu isn't as extensive as regular locations., but the staff was exceptionally friendly and cleaned each table as they were emptied. Nice lunch and the coke museum outside was a great time killer.

It's been over 20 years since I had a Whataburger and my flight has been delayed for ober 3 hours so I came across Whataburger again!! The service is warm and the people are incredible! It's so awesome to be home but it makes me miss Texas so much. This is a Texas staple. I love being delayed if I have to come here at DFW airport

I tried the biscuits and gravy combo and it was delicious. The hash browns were crisp to perfection. They were very busy but worked hard to get everything out. I was happy to have gotten to eat here.

Food - burgers. Kinda reminds me of school food that is a little better. But it's there and available if you desire a burger, fries and cola. Taste is ok only. Nothing to call home about. Service - ah, order at the counter and get your number called upon. Other than that, not sure what else. Ambiance - order counter, order delivery and a few tables to get you satisfied? Verdict - if you are in a bind for a burger, then I guess. If you are in a hurry and need a quick order, be cautious as sometimes they are fast but listen for your number intently or you could be waiting for more than 15-25 minutes. But there are also other choices at this airport.

Located by E27 at DFW - it's a trek to get to if you're not flying out of the satellite section of the terminal. No sitdown spots - I stood and ate which was very airport. It's a solid spot regardless but definitely the best airport spot for me with friendly staff. I love Whataburger and think the buttered bread is such a great touch for the burger. I also love their fancy ketchup. There's nothing fancy about Whataburger except maybe their pellet ice, but it's definitely my favorite fast food. It was shockingly fast and empty and clean here - never the case for whataburger at love field. I took the sky train and walked all the way from terminal A as I had a lot of time.

What a burger!! I can't lie, I've been skeptical of fast food burgers (especially in an airport) for awhile but that changed today. Wrapping up a fellas weekend, I needed a bite before boarding my flight home. Ordered via the self serve kiosk, customized to my liking and my burger was out in no more than 5 min. Cooked to order. Burger and fries were piping hot. Extra pickles, mayo, mustard, lettuce sans cheese! Ran to my gate with time to spare. Really impressed with the quality @ DFW! Almost snuck a few jalapeño ketchup in my backpack to enjoy at home. I get to Dallas pretty often so excited to try other menu options!

This Cali girl is from LA and Whataburger was highly recommended to us. Coincidentally, DFW was our stopover, before heading to Milwaukee, WI so we decided to try the burger and it DID NOT disappoint. Juicy, meaty big portion of a patty and the extra sauce I ordered was a thumbs up!! Cost-wise, it was more expensive than most In&Out combo burgers in California; but taste-wise, I'd say Whataburger wins ahead of In&Out by a few points.

tried the whatachicken sandwich and honey bbq sandwich. i really liked both sandwiches! i recommend trying the honey bbq sandwich because its unique to texas. i would say they had a good portion of the honey bbq, the chicken is not drenched in it thankfully. however i got a large fries but it was pretty small and my box was not full at all. about 20-30 min wait bc there tends to be a line

Team What - a - burger!!! Nothing welcomes you to Texas better than the smell of onions on the grill and burgers being made fresh at 8AM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Welcome to Texas! I followed my nose right to Terminal E and ordered all my faves! My mouth is watering as I write this review just thinking about it. Its so familiar when you step into the terminal and oh, how I have missed the "W". Airport did not disappoint. Everything was fast and fresh. The best thing you can ask for when you are catching a flight! On my way back, I missed them by minutes - I saw the crew cleaning up (I was soooo sad). Worth every penny! Don't miss your Texas welcome if you are the DFW airport and you have time to stop by Terminal E. Whataburger....just like you like it (made to order - fresh ingredients). Don't forget the spicy ketchup, please.

ATMOSPHERE: Being located in the center aisle of the terminal gives the restaurant easy dual access from either side. A few seats are available within though the majority of business was takeout. FOOD: Double Meat Whataburger A burger isn't a burger without cheese! I had no idea what "Whatasauce" was but I opted for it in place of the standard mustard. The overall taste was a like blend of BK's flame broil and a flat top fry you'd find at your local greasy spoon. Very hefty and hearty and worth the almost $12 price. Recommended. Fries If I were blindfolded I would've guess they came from the Golden Arches. They're that good. SERVICE: I ordered on one of the four convenient kiosks. For my double order of Double Whataburgers and medium fries, it took about 10 minutes. Counter service was friendly. It was one of those places you just kept going back to because the food was consistently great and it felt like a true Chicago institution. So when Portillo's finally came to Texas, I was thrilled. Let's start with the star of the show...the Italian Beef with hot peppers. It's incredible. Order it dipped and you will be in food heaven. And if you really want the ultimate Chicago move, make it a combo by adding the Maxwell Street sausage. That combination is absolute perfection. Messy, bold, and ridiculously good. Of course, the Chicago-style hot dogs are outstanding too. Just make sure you order it the right way and "drag it through the garden." That means the full lineup of toppings, just like they do in Chicago. It's the real deal. The sides are fantastic as well. The crinkle-cut fries are always solid, and the onion rings are super crispy and addictive. If you're trying to behave a little, the chopped salad is my wife's favorite. It's fresh, loaded with flavor, and honestly one of the best salads you'll get anywhere. And here's the surprise for people who haven't tried it...the hamburger is fantastic. Big, meaty, juicy, and full of flavor. I'll say it plainly. It's better than just about any fast-food or fast-casual burger out there. Bottom line...Portillo's isn't just another restaurant. It's a Chicago legend that delivers every single time. I'm glad Texas finally got the memo.
